When will cpool.pro be back online again?  Embarrassed

Join us in http://sexcoin.ecoining.com/

The pool is working great, mining and payments are working fine. We've got some DNS problems that are gonna be solved in the next hours, so if the website doesn't load, just try again in a minute and it'll work.

It's still in beta, so fees are 0%
why 120 confirms? is it really necessary?

We really believe in Sexcoin and we want long term miners who believe in it too. 120 confirms dissuade pool hoppers and give more security to the system.

I was finally able to log into the pit this morning. My logs were filled with attack attempts.
Which is yet another explanation of the issues the pool has been having. The datacenter told me its been under attack on and off since the 9th.
I have a strong suspicion we are all getting it.

We need a new thread......"So you want to run a pool?"

Keep up the good work gr33k!

@danimono: You don't have to put in anything in the bat, because failover is default. You should use cgminer <=3.5.0

Example for automatic switching on three pools:
Code:
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o first.pool -u username -p pass -o second.pool -u username -p pass -o first.pool -u third.pool -p pass ... -I 20

If first.pool is down, cgminer switches to second.pool and so on. If first.pool is available again, it switches automatically back to it.

I run my miners with 4 failovers. One thing, check the "Failover only" setting. If this is disabled it may begin a 'round robin' for share submission.

LoL I hear ya man - keep up the good work with the coin and all too lava Smiley

Not sure who's got it out for SexCoin pools lately - but I wish they'd at least make the point of all this known... Why are you attacking us? Is it the competition? Because if so - we can always spread the love lol -

My pool, for example, can only handle so many workers - I'd prefer to team up and have a SexCoin pool chain or something if that's the case.

If you're just doing it to be a dick....ah well then - shit ... cut it out! ;P

OK - my thoughts over this DDos'ing. I'm just a user of the pools and with not much experience in the technicalities let me chip in with why I think all the pools are getting 'attacked' : I am convinced that not only the SXC but also most other coins are becoming attractive to the masses and some amongst those masses want to gather as many coins as possible to themselves, so they simply want to stop the process of all us miners getting a chunk of the cake by DDos'ing so they can mine along on their own servers while all other servers are down..

Quite possibly what's happening Sad It's low enough difficulty I suppose - but it's really hurting the coin overall (though selfishness & greed, DO blind people..).

Hopefully they got enough blocks to have a happy stash now  Cry

Hi,

New here. So what is this dos attack , wasn't this crypto currency something nobody could stop ? wasn´t super secure ? . I don't see future on something that can't be protected since evil will be always there. Right now i can´t even open the wallet wtf . Have you heard if this is happening to all crypto coins or only here? . Which files I have to move if i want to reinstall the wallet btw?

Hope we solve this soon, thanks.

@danimono: For a new wallet you only have to backup your wallet.dat and copy it into the same folder again after re-installin the wallet.

I generally try to keep this subject off the threads. My feeling is that when we report DDoSing we are actually feeding the beast. Most of the tech's I know that have engaged in this activity are egomaniacs with inferiority complexes, and a little unbalanced, so anything said about it has unpredictable results.

But the elephant is sitting in the middle of the room right now. Here's my list:

Lavapit pool: DDoSed, ssh-brute-force, web frontend crafted packets, rpc discovery.
Lavapit SXC Node: DDoSed, ssh-brute-force, attempts at rpc. ( Yes, this is an attack on known nodes. )
Lavajumper P2Pool: DDoS, firewall brute-force login attempts.
Lavapit Faucet ( even offline ) : DDoS, web frontend crafted packets.
My Dev Environment: DDoS, ssh brute-force.
[EDIT:]
Block explorer: DDoS

This all began around the 9th, and has been continuing with varying frequency.

Anyone else?

@lavajumper - yes in hindsight I kind of regret I did bring it up here - and your reflections over the topic I can fully agree about: don't attract unwanted attention..
As to your data above: WOW - one would wish there was a way to 'hit right back' at those stupid people..

Really? If that was few hours ago, it has been fixed, if you are still experiencing issues, we'll investigate. Anyone else experiencing this issue right now?

..o-ooohhh now I think I found out - problem not on your site I think - I was mining on a couple of CPU cores while also mining on a GPU and that apparently took away too much power for the browser to function properly - so disregard my query Smiley

good against skids, but defeated by an slow trickle nmap Wink But yes, that does reduce the traffic dramatically.
The reports I made before are above and beyond the normal 'noise' that we all get.

once those guys start to get a piece of led in between the eyes the message will get across. They are not techies, they are criminals, and to be honest, there's no shortage of those in the crypto community
