Please post an AVX version.  I am seeing a serious reduction in performance in PPS (and in turn, chaining) on my A10-4600m.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1189851/jhPrimeminer-GMP-v7-AVX.zip

Would be nice to include msvcr110.dll.

Seems to run fine without msvcr110.dll for me over 6 hours.  I'll keep my stats with it and see if anything changes, although I think it was intentionally left out for the AVX build.

You must have it installed on your sysytem. I tried to install vc++ redistributable which has msvcr110.dll but somehow it only installs a msvcr110_clr0400.dll. Then I downloaded a msvcr110.dll and put in the directory but the miner couldn't start  "correctly".

Hi
Several users complained about some memory leaks in v5+ so finally I catch them and hopefully it's fixed in this minor update.
V7.1 64bit - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1189851/jhPrimeminer-GMP-v7.1.zip
v7.1 64bit AVX - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1189851/jhPrimeminer-GMP-v7.1-AVX.zip
Sorry no 32bit yet.  I still didn't managed to understand why the same code compiled for 32bit is crashing. Its something related to std::map  (if somebody has more experience in this territory).

Some minor features is also included:
-Printing the total share value that was submitted and confirmed by the pool
-The current settings can be printed by pressing the 's' key

Bummer, this no longer runs on Wine just FYI.  Crashes saying it doesn't like the new .dlls.

Thanks for fixing the memory leak. I didn't really notice too much of a leak - after running it for 24 hours, it only consumed around 560MB of ram, which is really nothing - on a desktop - but I can see the implications of this leak on a VPS, seeing as you're heavily restricted in terms of resources available.

You're doing something wrong, or you're renting a CPU and not really getting what you pay for.

Been getting a little more than 1 XPM a day on an i7 @ 2.3 (laptop). I'm running 6 cores most of the day and 8 overnight.

FWIW, I was doing much worse on the original jHPrimeminer, like maybe 0.2 a day or something like that.

Just checked on yPool and it's actually a little over 5 days - even worse!

(Supposedly) dedicated 8-core opteron box @ 'Server4You' for 90 bucks/month.  Signed up after a recommendation from another forum member (who was likely full of s*it just to pull referrals).

Stats look like:
SPH: 18.10 - Val/h 4.7566 - 4ch/h: 3299 - 5ch/h: 308 - 6ch/h: 32.48 - 7ch/h: 1.86 - PPS: 11137

Does that sound right for <0.2 XPM/day?

This is using jh v4 under wine, v6 was much worse than this.

Needless to say I cancelled the server but still have it for another 25 days - $90 bucks wasted Sad ah well live & learn! Smiley

For reference this is running on my 2x Opteron 6128HE box, only using 10 threads (reserved the rest for server duties) so 2 cores more than you're supposedly getting:

SPH: 86.56 - Val/h 33.8122 - 4ch/h: 14511 - 5ch/h: 1341 - 6ch/h: 153.02 - 7ch/h: 13.14 - PPS: 55215

Its been running for many hours. I'm using the v4 miner, will try v7.1 soon to see if it fixes my memory problems. v4 doesn't use over 50mb but v7 sometimes used over 14gb.

Actually - big /doh, I'm a dumbass...

I don't want to slander a company without good reason, and I'm the plum here!

So as you know primecoind crashes fairly frequently...  The really poor performance with jh v4 is because:

# crontab -l | grep prime
* * * * * /root/primecoind -server -daemon -gen

Oops.

Good news is that while I've been looking at the poor stats from jh wondering why it's so slow the last 5 days, primecoind actually got a block Tongue

I've just tried the non AVX version on wine and it works well. All the DLLs are the same for all the non AVX versions. Just the exe was changed. Same for the AVX zip files, previous versions had exactly the same DLLs. I suggest you to copy the DLLs from a version that worked for you before.

V4 didn't had the memory leak problem, but it's val/h calculation is outdated. The pool changed the share value calculation and this is reflected in v5+. So what you see in v4 as val/h in reality is slightly lower.
