I think most people who wanted to place HF bets already did so.  Now the roulette wheel is spinning and they want to open another roulette table?

I don't think they are going to get much action on the new table.

So the miner protection plan is now for sale? I thought that was the whole point of going with hashfast..

I look at it this way.. we all know its a risk about ROI, otherwise we wouldn't be buying these things, usually when I purchase something big over a few k I usually buy the extended warranty, I hate it but its a fact of life and many times I have used it where I would of been up shit creek had I not.

not saying its exactly the same but you buy extra piece of mind or you just go full steam ahead and just get it w/o..

HashFast has launched sales of it's second production batch. We are now selling our commercial grade unit, the Sierra, which contains 3 Golden Nonce (GN) ASICs, and all Baby Jet and Sierra machines can now be purchased with or without the Miner Protection Program™.

Can you correct your math?

You write "Second Batch Sierra - With Miner Protection Program™ - as low as $2.33/Gh/s!" which obviously should be $14000 / 1200 Gh/s = $11.67/Gh/s.

The 2.33$ is meant to kick in with the Miner Protection Program, when you get a couple more Gh/s for your order.

I see. $14000/(1200 Gh/s * 5) = $2.33/Gh/s. The page should attempt to make it less confusing.

But the MPP only gets you additional chips, not actual hashing power until you fork out more $$$ (how much more?) to get a bare rig to put the chips in.
So even if the full MPP kicks in, you'll never reach $2.33/Gh/s.

You're right.  For $2.33/GH/s to be a reality, they would have to also provide all the supporting circuitry, power supplies, cooling solutions, cases etc. etc., which they do not.
The price is also deceptive since the hashrate will only become available 3 month after you receive your gear.  Anyone keeping an eye on mining understands that hashrate today is worth *a bit more* than hashrate 3 months in the future Cheesy

I cannot login with my username or email address into the order system of HashFast.

Anyone with the same issue here?

I wasn't even aware they had a login system.  I just matched up my invoice # with the # on the order chain page.

HashFast,

Some questions:

Can you provide the dimensions of the package (important as I am looking into immersion cooling so critical heat flux is important)?
Can you clarify that the nominal wattage of the chip itself is ~250W and the wattage of the system at the wall is ~350W?  Both numbers have been used but it isn't exactly clear what they represent.
Can you provide the dimensions of the ASIC board?  Estimate is fine.  Can you also provide an estimate of the height of the tallest board component (excluding waterblock)?
Can the controller handle more than 1 hashing board?  If so is there an upper limit?  4 boards? 10 boards? 50 boards?
Will you consider selling just ASIC boards instead of complete systems?

They better consider it... otherwise the MPP as described is pretty much useless.

Maybe I was unclear.  I don't mean raw unpopulated boards or customers paying the difference between chips and complete board but rather selling a complete and operation ASIC board.  Think Bitfury H-board vs Bitfury complete system.

This seems to be the best around.

I think I'll get a first batch with Express Shipping (the cheapest is like 370$, this one is 400$).

Seems legit right?

I am interested in this as well. Not sure how many "extra" they will make with the first batch.

LOL! What news should they broadcast? They did the tape-out and now all we and them can do is wait. Thats it.

Those preorder-threads are really a pain in the a.., every two seconds somebody is asking for new news and updates and assurance that everything is on track.

I haven't heard of them hosting, but with the announced tapeout their chips should be on time.
