Has there been any updates? I still have coins in withdrawal but never withdrawing. Should we just assume they are lost forever?

plenty of Sorokins along that highway unfortunately
Yes, the name is not uncommon. But his coordinates were found (for those people who hadn't seen Dwayne's blog post yet).
If CoinEX doesn't return, I lost about .75 BTC in various coins. And what's worse, I was just about to take inventory of my altcoins in order to check how my trading strategy was working. I blame myself for not checking how professional the site was. I started trading with small change and it got a bit out of hand. It was fun trading on CoinEX, there were much bigger spreads between bids and asks than for the same pairs on Cryptsy.
I'd never put more than 1 BTC on any exchange, even if I'm sure it's legit. We desperately need a distributed exchange system - I don't care if it's Ripple, Mastercoin, Nxt, Ethereum or something else.
Wow, really nice.
Guys from Russia sent me this image:
Here we can see his work, and work phones. Tomorrow they will try to make some calls.

Did anyone call this guy? Since the communication from Coinex is mostly non-existent, maybe we should take the first step.

All I really want to know at this point is when the hell am I going to get the extra 14 shares of stock they owe me.

I bought 2 @ 0.04 months ago. They claimed back on on 4/7/2014 that they would be compensating existing stock holders because of the price drop with an extra 7 shares per previously purchased share over the coming 2 weeks.

Well, it's been 2 weeks, still don't see my extra 14 shares.

My account wasn't anonymous either, so you had/have access to see my original purchase order!

Did anyone capture that "Ilikekillnerds.com" thread about Coinex?

He removed it.  I think its time to dust it off and repost that info.

Tweet to @AbolitionOf and ask him to restore the original CoinEx Eruncrook expose.

You can also leave a comment on his post at http://ilikekillnerds.com/2014/03/looks-like-coinex-pw-might-have-been-hacked/

This message is repeated on Coinex chat...

kymbosabl
***Alert*** Due to a hack, all coins are gone. They were stolen from out secure back end encrypted vault due to heartbleed. We are sorry. CoinEX will be shutting down at 4/22/14 at 8:00 pm permanently.

Well the 8PM deadline has passed anyway.
I got fooled since the site was still up so I deposited some coins.
Let's hope the rumors are not true.

No, CoinEX can get everyone's funds back. But people need to stop being stupid, impatient and selfish.

Everyone really needs to pay attention to everything that has gone on and was said, how things have to work and quit trying to withdraw and run. These people are the problem at this point and why no one will get anything back, not CoinEx.

They told everyone they only got 50% of the funds. Hence the rush to get the exchange on line, as the rest of the funds can only come from the funds the exchange makes from it's operation. Similar to how Vircurex did things. They also told everyone most withdrawals were not going to work.

The exchange WON'T MAKE ANY FUNDS to pay people back with if all everyone does is play the game of "let the other guy do it", and try to pull all their funds out and run. But that is exactly what everyone has been doing and trying to do since day one it came back up, bitching every day they can't withdraw despite being told they wouldn't be able to (because all the people who jumped back on on day 1 that discovered withdrawals were not disabled and emptied their wallets of what funds they were able to scrape together)!

Further, it will take more than just a few weeks. It would/will take MONTHS, and that's with people using them. But since people aren't using them, just pissing and moaning about things working exactly how they were told things were going to work at the start, it may never happen.

They can't pull magically pull coins they don't have out of their asses. So you guys can either keep bitching about not getting your coins and thus never get them because they don't have them to give. OR, you can work with him and give him the chance to earn the coins so he does have them and can pay you back.

Of course, I already know what everyone's answer is: "Waaaah! F--k everyone else, let them play the long term game, I want my coins now. It's all about ME! Waaaah!!"

So yeah, you guys might as well just consider your coins gone and lost forever since none of you are willing to work with him or give him the time to pay you back.

CoinEx is online. Only BTC & LTC withdrawals will work yet, rest will come next week.

That was three weeks ago, not a word about the situation.
He can have all the time he wants for all I care, but by not giving any news, people will take their coins out when they can, so will I.
