Can ETH reach BTC value ?

To reach BTC value ETH needs to x10 its market cap, thats 1 trillion. I don't think that's possible.

In longer term, ETH value can even overrun bitcoin's value. Both of this coins are created for different reasons and ETH has a lot of real world usage while bitcoin has become a store of value nowadays. ETH is widely used to create tokens to fund new businesses. Also the transactions are superfast and lot more cheaper than bitcoin which increases its acceptability to the frequent transactors.

Also if we see the market cap, ETH is holding the second position since a long time now. Which proves that ETH is widely accepted and praised by the crypto community. So I believe, ETH can certainly reach the current level of bitcoin, probably not soon but surely in long run.

well there are many cheaper less overhyped alternatives to ethereum, where the supply of "gas" token like ether isnt limited by speculants like its the case for waves

Its not posible that eth can overrun to the value of bitcoin as time goes by eth will continue rising just like bitcoin it start at the lowest price for now its getting higher, the same that the eth will rise and reach to the highest price.

Maybe, just maybe since Eth has a bigger  total supply. When Eth will be worth same as bitcoin, its market capitalization is too huge to imagine but well, any possiblities can happen but not now.

i believe it could but needs a long time to catch up in the value. In crypto world i assume alot of us believe that ETH is no.2 and the potential is there. so why not.

that is impossible, even if the ethereum will increase its value, so much with bitcoin..the value of bitcoin also increases and now botcoin is in the top with very far difference from ethereum.

It is very possible specially now that it reach $1000 I think ethereums market will continue to improve and would be able to reach bitcoin in no time plus bitcoin's value right now is dropping. I think among all other altcoins ethereum has the most potential in reaching bitcoin in terms of value which makes it also second to bitcoin in terms of market rankings.

No, ETH can't reach btc value or the same prices. ETH is too much total supply, now circulation supply for eth is 96,9 Million
while bitcoin is 16,7 Million right now.

ethereum only can reach bitcoin value if only bitcoin are crash. if not. i dont think a million years ethereum can overtake bitcoin as it the mother of cryptos.. ethereum might be famous for it platform has been used by many ICOs but bitcoin has it own important to all other.

I think Ethereum needn't to wait bitcoin are crash to reach bitcoin value, ETH value can quite pass bitcoin value in the near future. Bitcoin is appearing many problem recently, one of all is high fee for per transaction, two weeks ago i had to spend $50 fees when i sent $200 in bitcoin, this is too wrongful. This inconvenience will do bitcoin lose Ethereum which have very cheap fee for per transaction in the future.

But the more challenging part (in my opinion) would be convincing the majority of the people (media, etc.) on the value of ETH, just how important it is and so on. Even now, most people still doubt BTC but they still cover it every time BTC grows/falls.

So, the bigger question is: how do we get people to take ETH (other cryptocurrency that's not btc?) more seriously? Is it only a matter of time? Or does it need to reach a certain amount of threshold so people can start adapting it?

ETH already has a good growth rate. I think this will make people think. But, BTC will keep its positions for a long time

This seems very difficult. Although the continued popularity of the ICO market will lead to the increase of the demand of ETH, BTC has been recognized by many countries, but ETH has not.

Maybe it will take a year or more to reach ethereum the price of bitcoin, bitcoins price is very high and almost impossible to reach by any other altcoin, but it seems like ethereum can be a competative coin to bitcoin it can reach possibly the high rate price of bitcoin because of the demand of ethereum in market and many investors invest in it.

maybe yes. We know that Eth has many supporters because of the ICO industry. The price value of bitcoin is way too big versus the value of Eth but maybe in the near future the value of Eth will still go up. With a lot of supporters from the ICO nothing is impossible.

In my opinion ETH can reach BTC value.Even its price may be more than BTC value.By its aggressive growth it is the market’s second-most popular cryptocurrency.It may overtake BTC by the end of 2018.While bitcoin could revolutionize the world of currency, ether could have more a wide-ranging influence through its use of smart contracts.
difference between the two lies in the technology used by Ethereum and Bitcoin.
The difference in the system, Ethereum’s data processing is much faster than Bitcoin. So I think ETH has a great potential .i always prefer ETH than BTC.
