SOON! Many people/traders/investors believe that Ethereum will also stand on the same spot as the Bitcoin right now but it still need s more time to be the toughest altcoin. It shouldn't be because of the name or how famous Ethereum is, but it should be with the concept and vision of Ethereum. Eth will soon have that spot. Everything is impossible and nothing is impossible with Ethereum.

Ethereum has in the last few months also received a lot of media hype as well. This has brought the attention of mainstream investors towards Ethereum. This is one of the main reasons why it has lost little as compared to some of the other cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin which has lost approximately 40% from the peak.The truth about the relationship between Ethereum as well as Bitcoin is complicated to say the least. The reason for that is Ethereum is often considered as a 2nd cryptocurrency. If indeed, the Bitcoin adoption does not increase in the off-line world, there is definitely an opportunity for Ethereum to become the most valued cryptocurrency. In the future, Ethereum does hold a lot of potential.

i think this is impossible . from 2009 to now , bitcoin has undergone many tests . it has been alive . it has accumulated a very high reputation . bitcoin became a symbol of cryptocurrency . ether is still young , compared to bitcoin . it also needs to withstand many tests .

I do not think so. The reason I think so. Because the blockchain eth platform has been exploited to create gadgets and improvements in energy, efficiency for user use in the cryptographic market. In particular, there is growing competition and consumer base equilibrium among other altcoins. ETH is a broader supply than bitcoin and can scale the user rate. But it will be limited by other potential altcoins. Bitcoin is always special and unique.

I think if Ethereum cannot beat Bitcoin.
The amount of value between Bitcoin and Ethereum is very far away.
Although Ethereum is a good coin in Cryptocurrency Bitcoin's toughness will not be replaced by any coins.
Bitcoin will be the best in terms of system algorithms and of value.

This issue has been raised many times. In other matters, one can understand those who are interested in this issue  I think that ETH is rather young cryptocurrency but with great potential. In long term perspective it is very likely that ETH will catch up with BTC but not in 2018. It is not impossible to happen. Well, maybe it can happen but not sooner than we think. Bitcoin is far of reach because the price as we can see is very high compared to ethereum. But we cannot deny that there is a big possibility for it to happen. |

I think Bitcoin is a different thing than ETH in terms of price and acceptance. Bitcoin is always the king of crypto currency market and Ethereum is always the king of altcoins market since Ethereum functions in a different way of approach like accepting and processing ERC20 tokens through it which makes its price and market cap rise day by day but cannot overtake or equals Bitcoin.

I never see this to happen even we wait for a long time. Yes we could notice how the value of eth xhanged on the passed year but bitcoin has been the trade mark of crypto and being well know will make the price increase more as time pass by.

If what you mean is that Ethereum would be able to take the crown from bitcoin being the king of cryptocurrency then it is least likely to happen. Of course possible but bitcoin has more supporters and it is the cryptocurrency that is the majority of merchants are accepting. They are the top 2 coins but ethereum is more use for smart contracts in ICOs and since the ICOs would be regulated in the future, there would be less projects implemented that would result in a less demand for the coin which would result in a lesser price.

Ethereum is a good coin in the Cryptocurrency market. But in this case, Ethereum will be under Bitcoin.
Bitcoin will be the coin that has the highest coin.
This is because Bitcoin is the oldest coin in Cryptocurrency and all coins will be affected by Bitcoin.
As if Bitcoin rises in price then altcoin will rise as well.

the value of ethe may exceed the btc price could happen, if seen from the graph now eth its value goes up, but to be equal to btc or exceed btc still takes a long time, and also depends from global community support for this crypto currency

It probably can, but mostly not in the near future. ETH has its platform, technology etc. so it might reach it. But BTC is now more like a widespread brand and has the best liquidity. |

I think Ethereum will not be able to achieve values as high as Bitcoin. Because the value of Bitcoin is very high and surgery away with Ethereum value. Ethereum is a good coin but will be much different when compared to Bitcoin. |
