Hi Barntech,
Could you just verify my second complete board purchase from yesterday (see my post 2 pages ago)? I didn't place the orders at the same time, but on the same day, so want them shipped together. Don't want to create any confusion. I'll send an email as well later on. I also wanted to be sure to get the backplane.
Question - Does shipping go up much for adding a second unit? Any ideas on adding units yet?

With regards to daisy chaining the drillbit system, how does that work? You can chain 4 boards together, presumably with spacers? If you want more, you need a backplane? A regular SATA backplane? Aren't they only 5 or 6 slots to a board?
See the photo on the main page for the 4 stack Miniplane. It is a custom card that comes free with the purchase of two or more boards made for stacking 4 cards together. For larger stacks, we are looking at either a 16 stack plane, or a 4 stack Megaplane that takes 4 fully stacked Miniplanes to bring you to a total of 16. Currently favoring the later option. I must have missed this. I'll order more if this comes to fruition. |

The blank board option as it stands is just the board, and yes it come with a parts list and construction guide. Depending on how things go, we might be able to offer a little packs containing all the parts you will need, but currently you would have to source those yourself. Will keep you updated on whether this is going to be an option. Cheers |

It seems your preferred payment method is PayPal, I can do that with difficulty, I like to use Bitcoin, after all that is why we are here, There is a big difference in some of the exchanges lately, how do I determine the exchange rate, Which exchange are you using for a guide?
I currently use bfgminer to mine, will your boards work with that miner?

Hey, The $50 blank board price is based on early manufacture quotes which came in quite high. As we are moving towards a full production run, we are starting to get better quotes for larger quantities and should be able to bring the blank board price down in the coming weeks. By all means, go ahead and pay with Bitcoin. Use a rate of 1 BTC = $112 to split the difference between gox and btc-e. Currently, we are building our stuff to work with cgminer. If we have time to work on support for other miners we will, but realistically we will probably just be sticking with cgminer. Shouldn't be too hard a move for you.  Cheers Barntech |
