I'm sure that somebody already post it here but anyway it help me a lot to quit.
I smoked for more than 9 years and after that book I quit in less than 1 month.

For health reasons, simply. The air around us is dirty enough and I think this effort to quit will at least give me some control of my health. Besides, second hand smoke is dangerous and I don't want to be responsible for other people's health problems. And it pays to be healthy when everything else around you seems to be deteriorating.

Well honestly never could not quit it but able to minimize the consumption! Simply stopped going out with friends with whom i smoked daily for few months, from 5-6 a day slowly slowly minimized it to 1-2 a day..It's not a habit its like an anti-dose! Tension = Temper = starts feeling like smoking can bypass it = Smoke lol!
If you really smoke that badly, try to minimize slowly slowly, not possible to leave it all at once. I tried multiples times, i mean it multiple times but failed each and every time. So lastly i reduced the consumption..

I have not smoked before but i can help. You can gradually decrease the number of cigarette sticks smoked within a day and eventually stop taking it

It's hard to quit smoking due of you'll be uncomfortable if you haven't smoke for one day. I don't smoke cause I don't want to suffer diseases related in smoking when I'm old.

I never stopped smoking, when I recovered from chest pain, but after I thought it was hard to leave a cigarette, the mind was heavy, and I would try smoking again, and it was more comfortable to smoke than not smoking, and in the end I smoke again until now.

I used to smoke about 3 packs a day for dozen years and someday about 6 or 7 years ago I quit.  I just stop, not gradually because I try it before and didn't work.  Not by chewing gum or candy because I love smoking while consuming mint candy.  I know it's not easy, but think about health and money you save.  I am so skinny when I smoke, but now I am 25 kg heavier and feel so healthy.  Smiley

I didn't smoke for almost six months (unfortunately I started again), but during that time it was really helpful to drink a glass of water to eliminate the wish.

Also, people who want to quit should avoid parties Cheesy and avoid being under stress (e.g. around people that you don't like).

I'm a change smoker before, what I do to stop on smoking is I tried some alternative way like having a vape set. Its really help my self to stop on smoking cigarette. Before, I smoke about 2 packs of cigarettes on one day but when i started to use this kind of vape im quitting on smoking cigarrette and I feel very strong now.

If you want to quit on the smoking first step you need to do is throw your lighter, ashtray and remaining cigarette if you have. Take a candy if you feel that your mouth want a cigarette. Just do it in every day and soon you out of a cigarette.
