Ethereum does not have a competitor at the moment. I think NEO is the best competitor for Ethereum in the future. The only real competitor of ETh is Neo, this is already an operational platform. But No one knows which one will take his development to another level.
It seems to me that certain platforms will be used for specific purposes and the interests of the ethereum will not intersect with such platforms as NEO or waves. |

if I think, ethereum and neo are actually almost the same, even though there are differences. but behind it all, neo is an asset that must be calculated after ethereum, because if you look back ethereum has experienced a high price, and it is very hard to make investments, especially small investments like me, and neo is the best solution.
NEO or maybe EOS

Which are the best competitors to Ethereum, and why do you think so?
(I know on top of my head that Cardano and IOTA try to challenge Ethereum,
although they still haven't proved much from my understanding?)
etehreum is great and i think taht we should respect this cryptocurrency andni think as well taht it will rise up really soon |

etehreum is great and i think taht we should respect this cryptocurrency andni think as well taht it will rise up really soon To be honest, some of the proposed options have their advantages over ethereum. But it concerns the features only in certain moments. But if we take the fact that 90% of ico companies use the erc-20 protocol, then all doubts about the leader disappear. |

Indeed this is an ethereum altcoin a very potential. even arguably the most potential. However, this is now an awful lot of competitors to ethereum. One of the most severe is EOS.

Bitcoin cash does not have the same amount of hype now days. Monero could be a proper competitor to Ethereum.

Personally I think that NEO is the strongest competition that ETH has, because if you have success, practically get the entire Asian market, which is economically pretty huge, if you do think so just look at Tencent and how it goes, to see how big it is, of course I know it is a conditioned competition, but as are the cryptos, anything can happen.

I do find some projects technically interesting, especially DFinity, then RChain, but it'll be a while before either one launches. I'll also probably look more at Cardano and Zilliqa. I used to be interested in Aeternity before the suits kicked out the guy who invented it.

There are many coins that are challenging the ethereum e.g EOS & tron , few projects are using tron blockchain to launch there icos but its not as better as ETH , tron may win over ETH but still have a longer way to go ,same thing goes to other
I think TRON is hard to beat EOS, let alone ETH. The founder of TRON used to play pump and dump on Binance earlier this year and made $ 300 million for himself. With such a person I never put faith in that project |

Comparing to ETH, We can say that almost all alts can compare to it, since there are platforms like waves and neo that also do what ETH can, it will just need more time and development before they can beat ETH.

At the moment, ETH has no competitors except for BTC. All these EOS, Waves, NEO are helpless. They talk about the great prospects of their coins, but even by 10% could not come close to the popularity of ETH. |
