for some bitcoin states have not been recognized and not yet legal as a medium of exchange but I do not think it means not to invest or have bitcoin because it also does not violate the law as long as there is no fraud or other harmful thing

Well some countries like Japan have legalized bitcoin so it depends on country. some countries are bitcoin and cryptos friendly while others are restricted areas for cryptos.
Japan is a very progressive country, so I think that this practice will eventually be adopted by other, less developed countries. At the moment in many countries there are no laws regulating crypto currencies, so the use of crypto currency is not illegal.  Cheesy

Bitcoin is of interest to law enforcement agencies, tax authorities, and legal regulators, all of which are trying to understand how the cryptocurrency fits into existing frameworks. The legality of your bitcoin activities will depend on who you are, where you live, and what you are doing with it.

it depends to regulation of country. some country have make bitcoin as their payment its mean bitcoin is legal in there. and some country didnt accept BTC as their payment its mean BTC is Illegal.

Yes, some of the countries still ban Bitcoin, the reason why Bitcoin is not recognized worldwide. In ny country, Bitcoin is legal; a lot of people use it and strive to work on it. But the are still limitations on it.

Bitcoin is legalize in many countries. Germany recently recognized Bitcoin, then I think many countries also recognize it. I am sure everybody will accept bitcoin in future!
I agree with you. Sooner or later, Bitcoin will be recognized worldwide and will be used freely buy all of the people in this world. In my country, Bitcoin is legal and it is very popular here.

it depends how the banksters the parliaments will lobby.

from a humanist perspective bitcoin can quickly become against human rights, etc, as it would basically focus the economy on the bitcoin miner industry, instead of education, food production, farming, many people might lose their jobs.

banks have also their lobby they want to outlaw as many others as possible so they can enrich themselves as much as possible gaining as much power as possible.

not great.

the definition legal and illegal will be used with a supporting world view perspective, like humanism, islam etc.

and even then decisions will by highly unreliable. and diverse from countries to countries.

it might even split societies within.

bitcoin could be legal but then mining facility will be set on fire by environmentalists.

regards

Most of us have seen the SEC say it's not going after Bitcoin. Cryptocurrency in general could be considered unregulated securities still and I believe Bitcoin is still in that category regardless of how many regulated companies now exchange it. I wouldn't think that buying and selling them would get anybody in trouble though.

I want to say, I agree with your post and so long as I can use bitcoin to get profit and alternative payment is enough for me. and is currently discussing how they will regulate bitcoin, many people are taking advantage of the enthusiasm behind bitcoin, using it as a scam and that's the sad part, but I'm sure most of us do not care about the law or not, as long as their profits will take chance.

Yes I agree with you, in my country buying pizza with bitcoin is against the law. But there is no legal regulation governing crypto investment. So we do not really use bitcoin except for investment.

Yes, some countries consider legal while others are illegal. But so far not too problematic because we have not really use bitcoin for general buying and selling transactions.

The first thing to know if Bitcoin is accepted and that the most important thing in your place, next is to know what law or regulations are there in your country for you to be aware also, since every country has there own policies.

It's correct. Like the ban on drugs, alcohol and the Internet, the Bitcoin ban is ridiculous and unreasonable. Moreover, that is precisely the case in the following countries: Bangladesh, Bolivia, Ecuador, Kyrgyzstan, and Nepal. These governments banned electronic transactions.

Well, in General, the idea of bitcoin is illegal, since it is decentralized and therefore does not belong to any state. Therefore the conclusion is that it's illegal but possible. Which means semi-legal.
