Bitcoin is of interest to law enforcement agencies, tax authorities, and legal regulators, all of which are trying to understand how the cryptocurrency fits into existing frameworks. The legality of your bitcoin activities will depend on who you are, where you live, and what you are doing with it.

Yes that right the legalitas of Bitcoin depend on the country where we stay. In my country Indonesia, Bitcoin not regulated yet so goverment not allowed using Bitcoin to make transaction for good and service. But in fact many kafe and restaurant here accepted Bitcoin for payment good and service. So that mean this technology can not stop by anyone.

I think it depends on which country you are in.
If you're in a more democratic country, it's legal to hold bitcoin and trade bitcoins most of the time.
If you are in a country that bans bitcoin, you may be arrested.

In the majority of countries that the bitcoin still be considered as an illegal thing.

Like you said about the fact that the legalism of bitcoin depends on where you live.

In some countries bitcoin still in the grey area just like 3rd countries which still need to consider the bitcoin as a threat or they can manage it into the active income to the taxation.

Right, I agree with your post and as long I can use bitcoin to get profit and alternative payment is enough for me. Every country has different policy about bitcoin and nothing we can change about it. I believe most of us really not care about legal or not, as long profitable they will take the chance. Not impossible bitcoin become legal around the world, just need time and we'll see it happen.

It's legal in most countries. You'd have to google the specifics for your country.

For the U.S. - The US Department of Treasury in 2013 defined it more tersely as "a medium of exchange that operates like a currency in some environments, but does not have all the attributes of real currency". The key attribute a virtual currency does not have according to these definitions, is the status as legal tender.

Depends on which country it is being used. Some countries do not allow cryptocurrencies, some have no regulations regarding it, and some are allowed and utilized by the government. My country, for example, has no laws regarding it which is why we can freely use it. As far as I can remember, a newspaper says that in my country, the government it starting to consider its uses and applications. My opinion about this is neutral. It could lead to a good thing or a bad thing, however I am glad that my country is already recognizing cryptocurrencies as asset.

It depends on what country are you living on. In my country, bitcoin has been regulated by the central bank and now making some regulations with it. I like how our central bank accepts cryptocurrency. Instead of banning it, they accepted it because they see the positive sides of it and not the negatives. Although they accepted it, they don't forget to give some advice from us..

It's legal but also can be used for illegal things. And that is what they told us: "that's why we should centralize it!"
C'mon guys, the same fiat system is used the same way for buying dopes, paying to hookers and selling people in slavery.
The currency is just a tool.

Bitcoin is 9 years old, but until now it is still difficult to get legality around the world. I guess this is not an easy thing and legality is quite difficult to achieve. Because now it is no longer concerned with technological advances in bitcoin and blockchain, all have become business and money. That's what makes her forget from the real main purpose.

If you buy the prohibited goods for bitcoins, then yes, it can be called illegal.

If you give bitcoin to useful scientific developments, needy, then it can be called legal.

The rest of the time he is neutral.
Everything depends on the person and his intentions.

Most of the countries do not accept bitcoin as legal, as they have no strong basis and backup. Japan said that trading with these cryptocurrencies would be a legal aspect, but like India and China and many other countries do not accept this trading legal yet.

So bitcoin isn't absolutely fair.
It depends on which country you are, at present most of the countries to hold the bitcoin and trade bitcoin is not illegal, but there are a few small countries is banned the bitcoin trading, is really a pity.
