My letter to MS has been drafted, need some concrete information soon or off it goes.
better send the letter and get your $$ back, BA still does not disclose their compensation plan wich means it will be crap just like their lack of information given about production.. do you realy think they will clean up there act at the last minute.? 15 minutes, then it will be sent in, I can take the waiting, it is the lack of information after being told quite blatantly last week that these things would ship Monday. I gave notices saying I would ask for a refund unless new information was posted about updated timelines and that has failed to be done, as such, it is out of my hands soon. Agreed, the waiting was part of the gamble, we lost. The lack of info is crap. Why can't you update us Bobsag? I don't understand. This also raises a red flag about MS. Probably won't buy from there in the future. Seeing how MS has stepped up and have done right by their customers, I take back what I've said about them. I'm glad I was wrong. Sorry. |

UPDATE: So, Dan Murtha decided to reach out to me in order to fix the situation. He asked me how much store credit I thought was fair and I said $1200 since that's how much I lost in the refund. I also said that I'd be willing to accept two S3s as well. He offered me $1000 credit and I agreed.
I hereby rescind/renounce/repudiate/abjure all the negative things I've said about Minersource and I will be sure to edit all recent posts referencing them to reflect this update.
Thanks Minersource for doing the right thing in the end.
that's great. what sucks is that it took this level of bitching for them to do the right thing, and probably the realization that they were going to get sued into bankruptcy if they didn't. it should not take months to not get fucked. this is why our world has devolved into a cesspool. people will fuck you if they they can get away with it and call it 'business'. people get bitchy when you call out the legal dogs even if you've done everything else at your disposal to set things right and are still getting cornholed. These assholes at BA are still holding people's money, and acting as if they have right to do so, which they do not. I'm glad Minersource made it right, although I think it was likely out of a sense of self preservation rather than a desire to do the right thing. At the end of the day I don't think I'd buy from anyone in this market again. Too much scum in the well to drink the water. I never had an issue with minersource other than the time frames. It took longer than *I* had wanted it to but i wound up getting a btc refund in the exact amount i sent them to begin with. There was never any arguing over the amount, just the time frame. I am glad minersource is making the best out of this. It is a smart business move. If they can still do right by their customers after getting screwed them selves, in this competitive market it positions them well for the future. |

the irony in that is so delectable. Bitmaintech is a chinese company. Black arrow is not new, they released a lancelot fgpa miner. I really don't think you can. Minersource got the shitty end of the stick being a us based reseller. Pretty sure if you purchased directly from black arrow your money is gone. |

I agree with you guys... but its silly to post and in effect say "I just preordered from a Chinese company... but I'll never preorder from a Chinese company". I guess it's getting time for the refund option indeed. Unfortunately, I have to knock on BA's door...
+1 Now we pretty much know they're not even shipping the X1's, otherwise they'd be in here bragging about nonsense per usual.
If there would be deliveries, there would be public tracking numbers and pictures of pallets full of miners around to ease the ppl that funded all this mess. I don't talk about those handful unfinished units that a few got. +1 exactly -- asked them the same thing, no tracking info though, proving that there's nothing to track yet :( -- still... I suggest, MS should make a combination of both a cancellation offer and some kind of compensation whereby they throw in one additional free machine (so we get the profitability we calculated when placing the order and sending payment. That was back in Feb or March, BTW)... Other manufacturers (for example Mining ASICs Tech B. V. in the Netherlands) are doing exactly that, seriously: they compensate through "buy one and get one free"! And so should MS after those MASSIVE delays. |

last week i read that the X1 was shipping batch 1. i still do not have my shipping update which leads me to believe that (1) even though i paid for a batch one product you conveniently changed it to batch 2 or (2) you are not ready for shipment for any batch. In any case, kindly remove your cranium from your nether regions and get a move on. you are quickly becoming another AMT of the bitcoin mining community in my book.

A statement from Black Arrow regarding their promise to ship on February 24th 2014:

Shipping next week? lol turns out, not everyone can manage a project out there... :( I mean, delays in all kinds of projects, IT or otherwise, is nothing new; but there's a certain line that should not be crossed, at least not in a client-facing context like here with MS and their less-than-wonderful Chinese partners over there. If they do (cross that line, that is), they need to compensate accordingly -- and I do not mean any measly 24hr or 1wk hosted "compensation" plans but throwing in a FREE 2nd machine and/or making true order cancellation offers with a full refund. "Buy one and get one free" -- others are doing exactly that, and in light of recent performance (or lack of it) MS should do this as well! |
