The dollar, worldwide, is indeed the leading currency. It doesn't mean that it is the most reliable (actually, as for most currencies, it currently relies on.. air) but it is the most widely spread, the most commonly used for international exchanges and also the most well-known.

The world we are living in, has been shaped by the American culture. So it is quite logical that the dollar has became the "leading" currency.

For the bitcoin... I would say that the situation is a bit different. The value and acknowledgement of this crypto doesn't only rely on luck or marketing. It is also because it was the historical creation. Bettng on crypto is risky, whatever crypto you chose, betting on the historical one, with a relatively long life span is... well, a bit reassuring.

I think yes , Because dollar is that option which is use by the every country with the help of PayPal system ( free for the transaction doller to doller ) international use , in the same way bitcoin is playing a important role for the international payment and almost every market is trying to accept Bitcoin in Thier own way .

The benefits you mentioned are certainly there but what about the practical aspect. Will a roadside food stall accept bitcoins ? Will you be able to buy vegetables from a local seller for bitcoins. All of them do not have access to internet of a bitcoin wallet to receive the money. Even if you find someone with these resources, is bitcoin practical for small transactions. Consider buying a packet of milk, paying by bitcoin and then waiting for 30 minutes to get the transaction confirmation.

I get your point. Crypto at this point in time, and likely in the forthcoming years as well, will be neglected as currency tool when it comes to the aspect of purchasing goods. You can't blame the people for that, and you can't blame crypto for that. People just don't like to hand you over something that has $1000 value today, but will likely have a $2000 value six months later. I am quite sure that LN will give people more incentive than ever before to start using Bitcoin as currency, but it still doesn't do anything when it comes to that long term stability aspect that Bitcoin lacks. I am however confident that we eventually will get that stability due to the stricter regulations concerning crypto exchanges, where they will be forced to implement security measures as we know them from stock markets. Instead of a more severe form of market manipulation, whales will need to work within the range that allows them to avoid triggering the security measures. Less free market cabapilities will translate into less overall volatility.

Actually, first of all, I want to clear this up, that btc and dollar are completely two different things. Dollar has it is own digital form, but btc does not have physical form. That is the ultimate different between btc and dollar. Dollar has regulations, btc has not. Dollar has limitations, btc do not have any limitations. Anyone can use btc and there is not transfer limit and transaction limit. Btc is just another form of digital money and it is one a very different level of currency. So you cannot compare btc with dollar. I do not say that btc is better than dollar, it is just their own advantages and uniqueness.

I think that Bitcoin is not digital dollars. Bitcoin is a kind of crypto currency. Which we can use all over the world. And the dollar is the currency of the US country. From what I understand, you mean that bitcoin is now the top of cryptocurrency. I believe that it is true because bitcoin started this industry and people have known bitcoin more as it is the most popular. Right now, I am just waiting that the society will finally recognize it as the same level as fiat money. They are all currencies, all monies. And we are free to choose what we want to use.

Some says it's a digital dollar but I would consider bitcoin as a digital gold , if it will be adopted by more than 50% of the population then I would consider it as a digital money. It's more like an asset at the moment.

yes i agree with you friend. bitcoins and dollars being king on their respective platforms. the dollar became king in fiat money and bitcoin became king in digital money. bitcoin can never replace fiat money, I think both can be used together. and this forum is a good idea with this forum we can learn, discuss and also promote cryptocurrency.
