TL;DR Bitfunder shutting down
Called it!
My advice would be buy everything you can now and hold for the divs. It we are a success the divs will outstrip the share price in a short space of time. This could go only one way (up) for months and months to come.
Haha they won't have much choice after November 1. Either they aren't verified on Bitfunder so they can't trade, or they are verified and there's no liquidity because of the shutdown! Bitfunder is not far from death at this point.
According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I guess if we move to Havelock the US can start trading again. Havelock is in Canada but just sold their company to someone in Panama a few days ago.  Having our shares listed at Havelock will bring a bit more legitimacy to the company as serious investors are looking at CaVirtEx and Havelock right now.  It's VirtEx's order book that the BTC ATM's are using for the ATM trading. They also have the debut cards/url] so it will make it real easy to get money out.

https://www.havelockinvestments.com/20131101-announcement.php

I worry that even if ActM is able to list on Havelock, it would only be a matter of time before Ken has to go through the juggling act yet again.

Direct shares may be the only sustainable action until a colored coin system is implemented.

I agree. I don't see much evidence suggesting that this Panamanian investment gives Havelock any more legitimacy than any other exchange...

Bitfunder closing down should not surprise anyone. The writing was on the wall and the market list has shrunk significantly. Most securities and investors have already jumped ship.
Havelock will be next.

Anyone who sent their personal documents to Bitfunder have cause for concern.

Ken,

Please DO NOT pay dividends on Nov 6 through BitFunder.

Given that BF is closing down, and there are endless posts of people having problems getting BTC out, please do NOT use bitfunder for dividend payments.

If you need to, withhold dividends and accumulate them for shareholders, until the sh!tfest is solved.

+1

We can't either reinvest the shares from the dividends or withdraw it.

Please send the dividends directly to our public bitcoin address.

Thanks.

Kind of wonder what is the point of getting verified if the website is just getting shutdown anyways. Should allow everyone to have full buy/sell access until the website closes.

Well if Ken goes the way of Direct shares, it leaves one of us free to create a pass through on HaveLock. (Instead of Ken having to keep micromanaging the shares)

Just transferred my shares.
Still, none of the other top 10 shareholders have transferred yet.

Why not?

Any updates on VMC's hardware?

I don't own any stock in AM, but through my group buy, we spent more than $10,000 on two Hash-Fast-One units.

Have there been any updates? Or is everything under NDA.  Roll Eyes

ROI looks miserable..

I would assume you'd be okay as long as you had screenshots of both transactions and as long as the account(s) have public bitcoin addresses set.
