Tell us about the prototype, Ken.

Like I said, unless otherwise stated, the prototype will be another 2 weeks.

Who the fuck are you?

A concerned investor that has a rough idea the current timelines based on the first post Ken made in this thread.

  • Chip samples delivered in 9 weeks;
  • Low-volume chip production starting in 12 weeks, using an e-beam process;
  • Normal volume chip production starting in 16-18 weeks.

This means the first chip will be here last week of November (Look at Kens post date)

So I was actually wrong, the prototype will be online in 4 weeks minimum.

NRE was paid way before that post was made; how many times does this need to be explained? Ken said miners are shipping out by the end of November, so your conjecture that there won't be a prototype until then is incorrect. Why are you invested in this security if you are so ignorant of the fundamentals?

I assume that Ken meant 9 weeks from that post and not 9 weeks since NRE was paid. I was under the impression that it takes a lot longer than 9 weeks to develop and manufacture an ASIC from the day one.

Why are you invested in this security if you are so ignorant of the fundamentals?

To be fair Ken has been very quiet about timelines and key details of delivery so its not hard to make conclusions that may be incorrect. In a knowledge vacuum it is all to easy to arrive at a faulty assumption.

Ken has been asked many times about the timeframe he posted at the beginning of the thread and he never answered.  Others have speculated but not an answer from Ken.  Not sure why he can't answer if its 9 weeks from the post or 9 weeks from the NRE.    I speculate that its 9 weeks from the post.

What are the current plans for chip development?
ActiveMining is in the process of gathering necessary funds for paying NRE costs on its 28nm chip. We hope these funds to be gathered soon, so that chip production can start as soon as possible. Estimated dates after NRE payment are:
Chip samples delivered in 9 weeks;
Low-volume chip production starting in 12 weeks, using an e-beam process;
Normal volume chip production starting in 16-18 weeks.

It means from the time of NRE payment. That is eASIC's timeline... look it up, you don't need Ken to tell you. That information was available weeks before this thread was started. It isn't some magical new information only obtained in September.

edit: Thank you, Sou.

That's just trust fund baby talk for when they don't get their way.

Meanwhile, did anyone catch that 6000btc flash crash dump?

Daaaaamn I thought it was at $200 and now we're already at $220!? Definitely a bubble brewing. That person was probably trying to make it correct before it gets totally out of hand like in April. Mining hardware suddenly becoming more profitable even with hugely rising difficulty.

okay we should now all be able to agree that Ken is late and falling behind.  He loves talking about worthless shares, but not about progress.

This is what concerns me too, all the talk is about anything not really important to the company. The miners are the only things that matter.

Ken, do you know how self-moderated thread works?

Why is this new "self-moderated" thread full of that same old shit we had to weed through in previous forum thread? Can you please clean this up or give someone else permission to do it.

Cheers.

PS! Still waiting for a proper balance sheet and PL statement
He is probably spending his time being productive rather than raking through the shit in this thread. That post should definitely be removed though... VolcanicEruptor continues to go way too far in his personal attacks.

The balance sheet was promised by November 1 IIRC. Be patient.

When he doesn't get his own way he becomes quite vulgar and immature. He keeps telling us he is very happy and is a nice person in real life, I highly doubt that though.
Would somebody lie on the internet?

I am also contacting the authorities.

This will not solve anything, enough people (myself included) have called VE out on what he said. The authorities can't do much. To press charges you would have to travel* and file a complaint in the correct jurisdiction. I don't think you will do that, especially when he can build a strong defence involving emotional stress due to the performance of the stock and the fact that the phrase "hope he dies" does not constitute anything serious like "I will kill you".

You might win, I doubt it. Are you ready for the expense? (hint: you cannot sit back and file suit or a criminal complaint from your desk to anywhere in the world and then expect the "authorities" to pay for and push your case through. You are going to need a lawyer)

This is a lot of hassle, it's far easier to tell VE he is being a dick.

*Omit travel if you are going to pay for a lawyer local to VE's place of residence.

I don't need a lawyer and I don't need to press charges.  I have witnessed criminal behaviour and have reported it.  This is the second time within a few days Volcanic Eruptor has crossed over the line and I will not sit by and watch death threats being made by anyone.

He made a veiled threat that he was going to shoot Ken yesterday. It wouldn't be so worrying if Kens place of work was confidential but it isn't.

Investors who fail for any reason to provide the information necessary to obtain "Verified" status on Bitfunder are encouraged to transfer their shares on BitFunder to the Bitfunder user AMC-TENDER no later than November 6, 2013 before dividends are paid.  All Investors transferring their shares to this account will continue to accumulated dividends on their shares.

The October 30th dividends will be suspended and accumulated for payment on November 6, 2013.

Is there any other steps that need to be taken for this procedure? Do we need to email you with our username and share amount? Or do we just simply transfer the shares to that account?

Your public Bitcoin address you picked on Bitfunder is linked to the specific amount of shares you will transfer over. That Bitcoin address is your identity, there is no need for anything else. Later you will use that identity (Bitcoin address) to claim the assets associated with it, by "signing". No one else can claim the assets associated to the Bitcoin address, because no one else has (or should have) control of that address.

Also, I'm curious if anyone here has bought anything on Crypto::Stocks?

What're your thoughts on Vircurex's implementation of an "project" exchange?

I almost bought some stuff but am hesitant because I don't wanna end up transferring stuff all over the place again.

...anyone?

Any exchange that isn't decentralized will eventually face what BTCT and Bitfunder have faced or be doing something illegal with that fear always behind them.

Don't listen to any of the other exchange operators guaranteeing their site/plan/security, the SEC's reach goes farther than it should and you don't want to be on the receiving end of that on an exchange that could just go poof at anytime with your shares/funds.

Colored Coins or something similar is the only sure way that your shares belong to YOU and can't be taken away in mass by the SEC without them having your private key.
With Colored Coins or similar, websites can pop up that just look at the blockchain to see who owns what at any given time and offers a place to see a price (The trading is decentralized)
Even if these sites for whatever reason had to close or their servers seized, a thousand more of them can pop up at any given time or even go on the TOR network.
