Exactly. No dumping from me, too. It's so hard to get my precious hobos, that I just can't part from them!!! They are mine for ever! Grin

And the diff is up to 10 now. Stupid miners don't get it that it's too late when the price is already going up, you should mine when the price (and the diff!) is lower! Cool

Even if we want to dump we can't, deposits on Cryptsy are not working. I am going to move all my coins into another exchange.

We as a community really need to keep voting to get on mintpal. Cryptsy is garbage. Once again they are having difficulty with deposits right in the middle of a large run up in value. Seems awfully suspicious.

I took the daemon offline to rescan looking for missing transactions. We are in sync with the crawler here: https://scrypt.io/explorer/hbn/block_crawler.php

But I was getting txid's in chat that were not found in the daemon

Rescan should take about an hour and it will be back up

I think you should put warnings on the website when you are taking daemons offline. Like that users can decide if it's worth sending the coins or not. You would have less support tickets and less upset people.

netmhashps : 1540 mh/s
difficulty proof-of-work : 11.11

Its interesting, that HBN pos diff bouncing around 0.0039 with a rare spikes up to ~0.008, cause coindays are getting destroyed quite quickly in HBN, opposite to this long waiting in NVC with their constant rising of pos diff.

Also I'm wondering, whether this is one of multipools getting their hands over HBN with its rising value, or some asic entuthiast or even rigs leasing...
I've never seen 1.5GH on HBN network.

Thank you for the updates. Looks like my deposit was successfully confirmed. I actually do appreciate the quick response and apologize for the rapid negative reaction.

That being said though, in order to strengthen the coin we still need to be listed on an exchange with large enough volume to withstand these errors.

Yes it is. I was able to deposit and withdraw from Cryptsy within the last hour.

Edit: This is a good of post as any to ask...

Tranz, are you accepting stake donation for continued development of HBN? One of the benefits of stake for charity is that small amounts can be donated. You have put forth an enormous amount of work, time and effort into making this one of the best coins around. I would like to contribute to that.

Edit #2: If not, this may be a good charity to be in contact with http://seansoutpost.com/ in order to get the most benefit of stake for charity. It actually fits the name of the coin quite well, and they have done some really awesome things there.

Edit #3: Just reddit messaged the owner of Sean's Outpost:

Hello,

I was inquiring about you accepting donations in HoboNickels. It is a cryptocurrency similar to Bitcoin, with a proof of stake feature. One of the benefits of this coin is that the developer has implemented code in the wallet that allows for stake blocks to donate a small portion of the stake to a wallet of their choosing. This allows a miner who is generating proof of stake blocks to donate small amounts of currency on a regular basis, with minimal effort. I believe that by accepting HoboNickel donations you could further the excellent cause of Sean's Outpost while at the same time providing a holder of HoboNickel a great reason to donate. I hope that you do consider this proposal. If you do believe that this is a good idea, please let me know what your Hobonickel deposit address so that I may update my wallet in order to stake for your cause.

Thank you,

Are you the forum post police? If you have noticed the Diff has increased significantly, usually it would be close to a Diff of 5ish and retarget at 3 so do not harp on my post guy, girl, shim.

Hi Isotactic,  I am not accepting personal donations at this time. But thank you.

We do have a charity page on the main website http://hobonickels.info/donate.php. I have 4 wallets loaded up with 1,000 HBN each and I am donating 50% to each of those address.  I do not control any of those addresses.  See https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/9606-hbn-trouble-shooting-and-user-guide-stake-for-charity/page-2 for using multiple wallets to use for s4c.

Regarding your suggested site.  That would be great to have them on board! Just let us know if they accept and when they have an address listed, and we can see about getting it added to the donation page.

Thanks!

Thanks for the response. Whether or not you are accepting donations, your dedication to HoboNickels is quite outstanding, and appreciated. I will absolutely post the results in this thread about the results of my inquiry into donating to all worthwhile causes. If anyone else has any other ideas about who we can donate to, please let me know, I would be more than happy to help draft letters to them.

To anyone else reading this, if there is anything you can think of that may benefit HoboNickels in general, post it here, and if I am able to help I certainly will. One of the best parts of this coin is that it has a fantastic community behind it, and we need to continue to improve it.

Tranz, two weeks ago someone told me to invest in HBN, since I glanced at it thought it was interesting, but didn't do an in depth analysis, well today I finally did that analysis and am terribly sorry that I did not invest in HBN sooner.  The CC's performance, day to day, week after week, and month after month is absolutely stellar, what accounts for that?

There is NO other CC that I see with a performance record like yours, it represents both stability and reliability even while all other CCs are on roller-coasters. please tell me how you are doing it.
