Is it better to have many altcoins or it is enough to have few?

I know that there are many kinds of alternative coins existing today, but is it better to have that many coins instead of having just a few? What are the benefits and harm in having that many alternative coins?

I am better have a few different kind altcoin but each coin have big amount. I am just focusing on a few altcoin because my focus investment is on bitcoin and ethereum

The answer to your question is so obvious. Of course, it is better to have many alternate cryptocurrencies than having only a few. Owning many kinds of Altcoins can be referred to as a diversification. Not all cryptocurrencies have a potential. If all the Altcoins you own have no potential, how can you gain profit?

I had only few altcoins at this time and I maintained this since started buying cryptocurrencies. Those altcoins I bought are in top tens of the coinmarketcap and these altcoins have the potential to grow  more. It more manageable if you have only few altcoins especially if you have no enough time to monitor it.

I think it is better to have more coin because there are more chance to become rich, if you have a more coin then your profit ratio will increase so having a more coin is better then few.

Well it's not about whether having many altcoins or not but whether if those altcoins would turn out to be successful and become essential in helping the community to earn money or to ease the means of online transaction like bitcoin.

i think it is better to have more. the more you have, the more chances of winning. you'll never know how much value those altcoins will be in a few months.

I think it is better to have a lot of altcoin more altcoins you have more chance to earn you need to be patient and you can but also some altcoin then hold it first when the markets back again you can sell any of your altcoin

It all depends on what you have a large number of coins, or a small one. If you see that as an investment there are a lot of schemes proper distribution of funds to obtain greater profits, for example you can choose 10 tokens which have the prospect of growth and to allocate between $ 1,000 and termination of one of the projects will give a big multiplication and worth your investment( in the worst case), and in the best case, you very much will increase svoy capital. Well not necessarily the top alts but alts that you've studied about and projects that you believe will be relevant in the future. Personally, 3-5 alts are already a decent number for me along with a thoroughly studied ico and btc. I can trade with several more but for holdings, I'd like to keep just a core of alts to hold.

I think it's best to spread your money to several altcoins, but not too many because I would rather divide my money to 3 cryptocurrencies rather than putting in into 5 more which are possibly scamcoins. The altcoins price also goes the same as the Bitcoin so maybe it is the best solution to invest in one, it is almost the same thing.

The benefit is you can share the risk among the invested coins. If this coin goes down, but that coin goes up a lot, you can have that coin covers your loss. But the harm is you can lose them all.

Yes, it better spread your portfolio among many coins than just holding few. But when you are selecting coins, do your own research. Because there are a lot of scam coins in crypto space. I suggest choosing coins from top 100 coins. it safe. Low market capital coins are riskier but if its success you can get high profit than other coins.

Most of them buy altcoins too with bitcoin investment.Mostly, people get into altcoins as a way to hedge against Bitcoin. Here are some common reasons for someone to hedge with altcoins:
1,Bitcoin may have some catastrophic failing that the altcoin is not subject to.
2,An altcoin may have some future utility that is significantly better than Bitcoin allowing the altcoin to overtake Bitcoin.
3,Even if Bitcoin continues to be the most valuable cryptocurrency, there may be room for altcoins to serve some other niche and hence             may not be bad bets in their own right.

As long the projects are valuable I don't see any problem to own multiple altcoins. But considering all the shitcoins we have it's better to select just a few of them. Personally, I stick with Bitcoin and Zencash that I discovered some months ago. Both are good and I am fine just with 2.

I think that you should not take too many coins, because you will not keep track of them. It is better to analyze a small amount and choose the strongest coins. Personally, I do so.
