New coins are released every day. Why? Everyone is trying to "one-up" the other with new features and gizmos and widgets. Or they're simple copies with a few parameters tweaked. They're trying to attract miners and investors to become the next big thing.[...]So how does a coin and a community pull more devs? So we include more features? Backporting from HyperStake is one way. Presstab is adding a lot of features. Disclosure: I'm "co-dev" on HyperStake.

I admit I'm in the top ten holders of TEK. I never want to dump, but I would like to see profits. If anyone is ever interested in buying large amounts of TEK (1000+) in one shot, just PM me. We'll set up an escrow and get it done.

The idea is to get back some of the BTC back into the market . If you sold 0.1 BTC worth of TEK ...why not put a low order to buy back 0.01 BTC of TEK if you are a lower investor . And so on . But the greediness its big . Also if you don't want to buy back we should make a donation fund to be used in the good of TEK . To reward people and help and get more PR more people to support and TEK in more HANDS . To raise awarness about it . We can use that 40% we all get and put 5% for development and support and that would be so beautiful .

I am still buying, but the hashrate is almost low enough I may restart mining.
I prefer to buy because I MAY be buying 29 day old coins and preventing them from staking.
Mining always gets me 0 day old coins.

Has anybody had a problem where the wallet just stops staking?

I checked the log and it appears to be hashing. Is there away to tell if the wallet is mining properly by looking at the log?

yes the rich list takes a dump everyday. This makes the coin look bad. I would be willing to take the website over if i could get access to api or the site code. We need to to a better job maintaining block explorer and richlist.
As for the staking. Now that some of you have confirmed problem with staking i think i know what might be wrong. I am guessing the staking difficulty has risen. Thundertoe am I right?

I got one on day three right now myself. I think it's just more people staking. Can't pull the stats right now, on the wrong computer..

I sent thundertoe a PM 8 hours ago when I noticed his account was online. Since I wasn't the only one addressing questions to him I was surprised to find out he didn't respond to any of us. Hopefully he can help explain the issue, if there is one. I just find it odd that PoS doesn't seem to be working for some of us, possibly everyone. Also, I agree that we need someone else to better manage the block explorer and richlist. I don't understand why it it seems to go down within 24 hours every time it gets put back online.

Depends what 'recently' is... Last time I staked was on the 29th... I have a block that I'm waiting for now, but so far it's less than a whole day beyond the 30 day period...

I am working on my new coin HyperStake, but I was prompted by a few members of the TEK community to come over and help figure out what is going on. Mr. Toe might have a better perspective because he watches the coin more, but my guess is that either there is a hard kernel to solve or that the PoS side of the coin was attacked. It is hard to tell either way without a block explorer or knowing the last PoS block.
