Maybe freebitco.in can reduce house edge every weekend, combine with RP weekends to attract more player
I think that the influence of house edge is given great importance on the gambling board of Bitcointalk.org but doesn't extend much further. In the fiat gambling industry the sites and physical casinos don't compete on house edge, they compete to have the best promotions and comps.

He will not get anything from FreeBitco. The people invent these games to make you belief that you will win. But unfortunately you will loose at the end.
Unfortunately you are wrong, because there are proof that people have been winning money from this faucet for years. There are even a thread dedicated to these winnings, where people are encouraged by the faucet owner to report their winnings. Just browse on over to this thread, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1850855.0 and see for yourself. This guy won $200 --> http://prntscr.com/jpuhuxI have also won some of the smaller prizes on a regular basis, so I can vouch for that.

If you think this is any different from other gambling sites, or the idea of gambling itself, then you are completely deluded. That's what the whole concept of gambling is, a game of chance, and an attempt to make it out of the game despite odds being stacked against you. I don't play at this site much anymore since I no longer do faucets but I actually made successful withdrawals in the past - without ever spending a single cent or satoshi there. Of course you eventually lose if you gamble. That... is... the... point.

The rewards are only reduced for accounts that don't do at least a little gambling, buying lottery tickets or deposit to keep a higher balance. The bots pay for captcha solves and when we reduced the reward for those accounts last time those botnets stopped briefly and weren't buying captchas. So the sites that sell captcha solves reduced their prices so the botnets were profitable again. This latest reduction really is the only thing we can do. It is targetted at accounts that really do nothing or very little other than draining the faucet. It is a gradual reduction by a very small % per day.
Whatever move you do, those botnets will keep adapting and finding ways to drain the faucet. I think the only thing you can do is lower the base reward even more for such accounts so that it isn't profitable anymore. Which makes the faucet basically useless for real people like me. And no, I'm not going to deposit $50 I don't have to a site run by people I don't know.

The higher rewards are there to reward people that gamble. The $50 balance option gives an alternative to those that don't want to gamble. If you do neither then you'll probably get more from getting paid to click on adverts elsewhere.

You could argue gambling is not a productive activity for you, but it is optional and if you have gifts elsewhere then go that way and hopefully you will do well. But nothing is certain in life ? If the faucet was free to begin with, there is not much to complain about. Would be nice to have caught those faucets in the early days paying out 5 bitcoins a time :O but lack of foresight in taking that up myself is my own fault. This place being around a long time is great for the little person because they will take a long time to get alot of BTC or have to wait a long time for BTC price to rise alot and it becomes a nice figure. I'd rather see a site like this around forever then a newer site pop up and disappear with peoples free balances also no longer available

I don't think so. You should be able to pm him now again anyway.
@TheQuin, is Myfe still working from freebitco.in here or not (just curious since you also appear to be helping freebitco.in).

The faucet gets you a lottery ticket each time too so you could get quite a bit. I remember having quite a hefty amount of bitcoin there once and earning the nice interest they pay there. And it's true that if we'd have got in sooner, we might have a lot more Bitcoin, it's also true that we would either have sold it, or regretted selling it when we got up to 20k and then are now slumped at around ~10k for the forceable.

Yes, @TheQuin, took over from Myfe and he is now the official support person for the Freebitco.in thread on this forum. In my opinion he is doing a fine job. || Also, I think people that join this faucet 10 years from now, will say that they wish that they joined this site when it paid out 20+ Satoshi per hour. If all goes well, even Satoshi's will be worth a lot by then.

You are saying a general statement, not only for freebitcoin. Most gamblers will lose at the end if they do not know how to manage their gambling habit. No one is forced to gamble, it is our own preferences whether to gamble or not. Here in freebitcoin, there is a chance to win huge amount for free that you cant find at other places. It is from the lottery game because you cant use the free tickets to join the lottery game. Use it all the time wont make you lose at the end.

1 satoshi = 1 dollar would seem impossible but I would rate it far more likely then that for a variety of reasons, ask me if you are not aware of how that happens. Do not limit your horizons and believe its impossible, we are all sitting at the tail end of a generational change to the dollar reserve system. Its very possible for crypto to be part of that and if you aint got much to your name by way of cash dollar money then the wisest thing to do is follow opportunity and possible growth. You know already crypto can grow a hell of alot and I do not think the story is over.

@TheQuin, is Myfe still working from freebitco.in here or not (just curious since you also appear to be helping freebitco.in).
A couple of months ago when wetsuit made some changes there were a lot of complaints in these threads. Myfe wasn't online for a long time and I ended up giving the trolls a hard time. Then wetsuit offered me his job. I'm assuming those facts are related. The faucet gets you a lottery ticket each time too so you could get quite a bit. I remember having quite a hefty amount of bitcoin there once and earning the nice interest they pay there.
Have a look at round 126. A brand new account won the 5th prize of 0.11908959 BTC with 2 tickets. They only had one free spin and got all that. Anything can and does happen in games of chance. And it's true that if we'd have got in sooner, we might have a lot more Bitcoin, it's also true that we would either have sold it, or regretted selling it when we got up to 20k and then are now slumped at around ~10k for the forceable.
I do so remember back in 2012 thinking if only I'd got in sooner. I'm pretty sure that everyone starting today is still an early adopter. Most of them will make the mistake you are talking about and sell out too soon. HODL, you know it makes sense.

Then wetsuit offered me his job. I'm assuming those facts are related. Ah right, that's a bit sad. Yeah, myfe used to come online once a day or so on the forum for quite a short amount of time. He'd only pick certain messages to reply to quite a lot as well when people had issues (mine was one of them though so that wans't too bad). The faucet gets you a lottery ticket each time too so you could get quite a bit. I remember having quite a hefty amount of bitcoin there once and earning the nice interest they pay there.

Yeah there are always those lucky people. I haven't got that lucky ever, doubt I've ever won the lottery actually. And it's true that if we'd have got in sooner, we might have a lot more Bitcoin, it's also true that we would either have sold it, or regretted selling it when we got up to 20k and then are now slumped at around ~10k for the forceable.

Most of them will make the mistake you are talking about and sell out too soon. HODL, you know it makes sense. Hodl seems like a great option since I've lost near enough to 2 BTC in the past two years by doing certain things like trading (cryptocurrency and cloud mining). I should put all my coins into an encrypted paper wallet in a vault where I'm not as happy to go and collect it every time I have an idea... (that'd keep everything healthy). 1 satoshi = 1 dollar would seem impossible but I would rate it far more likely then that for a variety of reasons, ask me if you are not aware of how that happens.
Yes, so many lost coins will mean that could be possible one day. I have to admit, when I started, 1mbtc = 1$ seemed improbable, and we're currently at around 1mbtc = 10$!

I don't think there's any rule about selling or giving away an account but having more than one account is not allowed. IMO it wouldn't be attractive to buy accounts. If it is just to get full base reward you can just deposit $50 so that sets a price cap. The calculation is a ratio of free roll winnings against amount wagered with balance factored in as well. So any bought account just used for free rolls would end up going back to reduced rewards anyway. Brand new accounts are exempted from having that algorithm applied to them for the first 100 free rolls to help people get started.

Ok, so give me some examples of businesses that are operating without overheads and expenses? Why would a profit driven business want to operate at a loss? Freebitco.in started out as a Faucet and they paid the faucet payouts from the advertisement income. Since these Ad companies started to deny payment for faucet traffic, they had to source income from other sources to survive. They started to offer Gambling & Lottery services and they also started mining to cover their expenses and to make some profits. Most of their income are paid back to users via the faucet and gambling wins and Lottery payouts and interest received from the deposits.

Yeah, I don't think it's worth it to buy an account, if the $50 fee is too high for you, why would you want to pay say half of that for someone else's account anyway unless they've wagered a lot (which is unlikely to be sold). I have an old account for which I don't play much any more, but out of curiosity I saw that I already lost 0.0025 from wagering, can't seem to find history of how much I actually wagered though, just that I played 8k rolls. Is there a way to find these stats?

Not at the moment. Improved stats is definitely one the things I'm hoping to see on the new site. wetsuit is very receptive to any suggestions, most of what I've suggested to him so far he's either already done or put on the list for when he starts the rebranding.

~ Have a look at round 126. A brand new account won the 5th prize of 0.11908959 BTC with 2 tickets. They only had one free spin and got all that. Anything can and does happen in games of chance. ~
This is really amazing. They won much more than one can win rolling 10000 on free spins (which all of us so eagerly desire). Here's the top prizes for LOTTERY ROUND 126: Just imagine, you register, do just one roll and win 0.119 BTC with that. Hopefully they haven't forgot their login credentials, which happens frequently when we create new accounts. Anyway it's nice to see that such lucky strikes do happen in real life.
