Trading is so interesting and exiting, as for holding - it is fully automated process, if can say that, so choose your, maybe trade some, hold others.

Me, I prefer to trade. Because in trading, I can gain a profit in a short period of time. I need to sell my coins for very important reason(financial problem). But I need to make sure that it is in a good price before selling it.
They say HODLing is more profitable than trading because there is a possibility that the coin they are holding were increase its value in the future. But cryptocurrencies are very volatile and unpredictable. The value will rise or fall. And that is the risk of HODLing.

of course I prefer to trade anytime I also have to divide my trading capital to buy as many coins as I can after that I take advantage of price movements to gain profit.

grasp or the merchant I think is equally good, for beginners if I prefer to invest by buying altcoin which I think will give a lot of profit, although I have to hold the coins a little longer, because I do not really understand how to trade, and I do not want to risk that much.

If you think this is good time to trade and learn how to do daily trading, then just do it, don't think to much, but you should remember that daily trading has bigger risk than long term investment. Just believe yourself and do what you want to learn.

I think that you need to be positive if you really wanted to excel or succeed in this market. I mean not just in crypto but in other aspects of our lives. So I would suggest that if you really wanted to learn then just do it and learn you dig your hands and make it dirty. But you will have a lot of struggles and challenges so be sure that you have that mental toughness and I'm sure that its going to be rewarding at the end. So for me, Trading or Holding has its advantages, its really up to you how to adjust and take advantage of every situation that will bring good fruits later.

if you want to get a profit and know how to trade well and profitable then it does not matter if you trade but if you are doubt it is better to hold because the trade can get a big profit but also can make you lose

Hi guys, I have a couple of alts in my wallet right now and I want to gain profit.

I want to earn a profit while waiting for a better market value. Should I enter trading(where I don't have an idea on how to and where to start) or should I stick on HODLing my coins?

Looking at the market movement, is it a good time to start trading?

Is it risky or not an ideal move if I start to study trading using some of my holdings/alts?

I am eager to learn how to do trading(short-term or day-trading).

Any thoughts? TIA

It depends on what you feel about it. If you want to gain a better profit our of your holdings , then hold but that is if you could wait longer. If you feel like you are in need to trade then just do trading. If I were you , I would prefer to hodl a little longer because the market could still recover soon.

It will always depend on what do you really want to do, you can not expect to make huge returns just for holding a single coin, that is the reason of why i prefer to trade, it  depends a lot too

You can do both but if you want a long term profits it's better to hold your altcoins, if they have a potential. Remember there's always a risks in trading, you should control your emotion.

for me you need to choose two types of investment to gain more money, first choose a wisely altcoins that for long term investment to hold. and second is a altcoins that you trade in everyday to sustain your daily needs.

I think that is really difficult to hold altcoin for me because it is really waste of time, if you have some altcoins, better to trade them as soon as you can, because most of them are not good to be held. Better to hold top coin or bitcoin that already prove the quality.

Do not trade right now, the market is not stable and maybe you get 5 percent of profit and at the next hour you have lost 20 percent. Trust me, this is not a good moment for doing it so

If you are going to use your ALTS to trade, now is not the right time since you are going to sell it for ETH/BTC to start trading. You are aware that the market is not in a good shape right now, and you have also said that you have no enough experience on trading. So, it is adviceable to just HODL your ALTS.

i think holding is the best way on this situation, because if we trade altcoin now, the risk to loss are bigger than profit, now the market are potentially down in price. That's why i tell you to hold your coins. Wait and be patient until the price getting stable or little bit higher to get some profit.

To be honest, i like to trade and to hold, both are good things to do.
But during a bear market, the best thing that you can do is just to do a 50 - 50 percent of each one. Trading is risky sometimes

Trading is more profitable but also riskier AMD needs more experience. Hodling is safer especially when it's an established currency.
For sure everything has some risk and nothing is that easy mate, so I think it is good to be ready for all kind of things such as falling price, dumping phase and etc those who will face all these with patience and will not sell at panic at all, so it is not the time to trade will be best for you hold and let the market be good, smooth rise is better than fast falling.

Trading is the best way to earn more profit in the market because there are a lot of people who are having a hard time to sustain their daily needs but with cryptocurrency, it will be easier since you can work at home.

Crypto trading consider as risky investment so if you try to trade in short term, you will experience more losses because it's value still volatile!

My suggestion is hold , just take a look on bitcoin over past 8 years, it's value continue uptrend , right ?
