Just like Black Arrow, he too is absolutely swamped at the moment. He's getting ready for our move to our second facility, a 6300 sq. foot warehouse, on top of the usual running of the miners, Miner Hosting LLC, and Minersource.net. He is under a bit of time pressure because the move date is getting close, so please go easy on him if you can.

I can pass something on if you'd like for him to get to when he has time. Please keep in mind, we're a really small team right now but there are 6 paid employees enroute to facility #2 that will be able to handle order processing, question handling, and simple babysitting of BTC/ALT miners. Just recently, I was several days behind on PMs myself, thanks to everything going on with GBs, site tickets, investor meetings, planning other cryptoventures and the business formation itself, and...life (esp. during the holiday season), so I know what he's going through.

The community of miners that have formed to pool BTC funds with the DZ MC and Miner Hosting LLC essentially willed these jobs into existence via bobsag3.

Just like at Black arrow, everything is being done manually at this time as far as final processing of orders. If you didn't get your order seen to yet, whether it's Thomas, bobsag3, or myself, it's usually because we're behind. As Bitcoin mining has become more expensive, and interest in BTC mining itself has exploded, sometimes ASIC mfgs and resellers get behind.

Not sure if this is related to payments: but if your payment(s) for an order appear to have made it through the blockchain then there shouldn't be any problem on our end.

==

Some good news though: bobsag3 hasn't been idle, he's also paid for designing and developing *good* Free Open Source Software (FOSS) for Remote Monitoring of miners regardless of the type of miner, built to his specs.

This software is in Alpha and he is releasing this *free* to the community when this is ready.  Smiley

I want me a fancy club card.  I have got to get me a few more shares. I am waiting on a cube deal.  If it works out I will get 2 or 3 more  here.  bringing me to 12 or 13  total.

If we could still change our avatars, or atavar as I'm fond of calling the movie, I was going to make a DZ MC Jupiter avatar for those that had at least 600 GH/s involved with the DZ MC.

You will get an email, asking for that information.
Maybe you already had, check your spam folder.

No, thank you! We wouldn't be here bursting at the seams of facility #1, and moving on to facility #2, without the support of our co-op members.

Our new site: which was re-designed, but is being re-designed again in conjunction with Minersource.net owned by my business partner bobsag3 (and investors) is going to begin re-redesign this next week.  Tongue

An aim of our Version 2.1 site is to include this payout wallet address as a mandatory field for GBs and mining contracts.

OT: but *another* aim of our Version 2.1 would be to provide a way for users to trade each other both future and current GBs hosted by the DZ MC without having to have the co-op leaders/operators involved. This will help deal with the eternal, difficult issue that all GBCs have to deal with, WRT refunds.

We are essentially aiming to be an amateur team that will soon take on cex.io on their home field. This *should* be in place sometime in January, well before R17x ships.  Smiley

==

Now, after that long OT: please open a co-op site support ticket if you didn't get your email asking for this info. It may take a few days to get to your ticket or PM, but Thomas will update your records when he gets to spreadsheet consolidation.

Cheers,
DZ

Okay so I'm very interested in getting up to 20 or 25 of these machines. I just have some questions that need to be answered.
  • Is this a physical machine that will be shipped to me or is it a mining contract
  • If it is a physical machine what is the power consumption per machine

If the 2 can be answered then I am game.

Buying thru the GB gets you a hosted machine - the hosting and management fees- you get a payout every 15 days.
If you buy them thru my site, you can buy them with or without hosting, and I can ship them to you. Power consumption is 1500w/machine.

So if I choose to have it hosted by you and plan to go with 25. It will only cost me $100 a month? Will the Minders be pointed towards my mining pools so I can watch the work being done? Or are they only going to be mining from your pool? Have you come up with a date or week in feb when it will be up and running?

Its $100 per 2 week period, per unit.
Miners would be pointer to a pool of your choice, but we have a in house pooling coming in soon.
Any units ordered from here on out would be delivered Mid March.

So if I got this right to purchase 1Ths is going to be $3250 then it will not start till March. Then on top of the purchase there is a $200 fee per month to get it hosted. So it will cost $5000 a month to keep the 25 machines running? I just want to make sure I'm getting this right. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Correct.

So if that is the case how do you make money with this equation? I guess I'm just very lost I don't see how you can get a return?

I make money off the hosting, and the reseller fees on the unit. Trust me- nothing is done for free Smiley

Let me restate that my comment. With the investment plus the monthly fees how much would a person be seeing in return. It seems that everything I mine will be going straight to the hosting fee. For some reason I can't see myself making anything substantial for it to make sense.
The hosting fee is a tiny tiny fraction of the units income... $5000/month for 50Thash is a pretty good deal. As for expected returns... we cant offer any sort of investment advice.

Have a look here, if you haven't already.

Remember it's just a prediction, it's hard to tell what the difficulty will be in March.  You are correct, it's hard to anticipate coming out ahead.  Invest wisely.

M

At some point the prediction of 100% increase in difficulty per month is going to be wrong. That is a certainty. Whether that happens by March I don't know (and neither, I suspect, does anyone else).

That (and really only that) is the key question here. If you plug in 50% difficulty growth per month these come out wildly ahead.  If you stick with 100% they come out behind.

I agree the hosting costs are pretty reasonable.  At 1500W that's $162 just for electricity at 0.15 kWh.

Mining hardware is (as any other electronic prized in $), so the dollar prize for the hardware is pretty much fixed no matter what the BTC exchange rate is.

Cryptography is one of the few things you can truly trust.

yeah and btc has had predictions of 40000 usd a coin

http://mashable.com/2013/12/16/cameron-winklevoss-bitcoin/

so place your bets.

Buying in on r17 means you hope diff is not insane  it is 1180 mill  and you hope btc shoots up. it is 620 usd.

Frankly a roi in btc means nothing . case in point btc was 105 in sept I grabbed 1 coin.  it is now worth 605.  1 btc in 1 btc out.  105 usd in 605 usd out.
I grabbed a coin on NOV 28th  1152.. so 1 btc in 1 btc back.  1152 usd in and 605 usd out.

so playing this r17 is a guess at   diff vs btc price.
we all know diff will rise we do not know what btc price will do.

1)if we get miner in late feb
2)if they work
3) if the coop is honest
4) if the place does not get robbed or burn or flood earthquake yada yada yada
5) if diff is okay and not endless streak of 30-40%
6)  and if we move closer to the high end number of 40,000 a coin
7) if what ever I missed does not jump up and fuck the coop.

For me I have   10 shares of this and may buy some more.
