I am holding me shares. But I really like to know when we start hashing? Next week? end of the month?
I think they said ship by end of month, so assume start of August! yeah I will just sit on the 5 shares as i am not sending in more money. I have a lot gear in house. maybe I get 300gh for 5 shares I don't know what they are giving. and maybe coins go to the moon. but This looks poor right now. |

What is going on with this? There has been no email or newsletter to my knowledge, well known sent to my email address. The old website no longer exists and new one doesn't have anything about the group buy? Do I have to troll through this thread and try to read between the lines of Thomas and Co who don't like communicating? frustrated   |

agreed with the frustration a little... I would like an update on the plan of attack here. I have several shares and have not heard anything from the guys running the GB in a while. I am all for trading in chips, using chips to pay for the trade and then mining with what is left... or selling the miners after then have been upgraded... which ever looks to have the best return at the current bitcoin prices. It would great if there were some kind of vote or list of options that we could indicate we want to do (something more offical then the post a few days back that indicated minions for shares or new boards for more investment or new boards with services payed by minions, etc...
What are my options -

There are currently two options trade shares for chips and get them assembled yourself or join the group buy for technobit assembly at a 20% discount Or Wait for the X3 s to be delivered and for r17 to begin. The chip option pulls you out of this group buy the chips / assembled boards are yours and will be shipped to you unless miner hosting has a colocation plan up which should happen. PMs sent to me will more than likely not be answered for 48-72 hours as I'm traveling and not near a computer, this applies to them being read also. |

That is: a) R17 was a setup, they (DZ people) didn't give our money directly to Black Arrow, instead it went to their 'mate' a newly signed up Black Arrow reseller called minersource known here as bobsag3. b) When things started going tits up, minersource did provide bitcoin (not fiat) refunds to those that asked a few month ago. Since most of us paid when BTC was > $800 that was a tidy profit for them! c) In mean time, minersource have now 'employed' the DZ person that was supposed to be looking after our interests thomas_s. d) As time has progressed and things have gotten worse, any new requests for refunds have been refused by minersource. There is of course nobody left in DZ to fight our corner. e) BA expect to ship at end of this month, but have openly admitted the X3 is nolonger competitive but have failed to up the compensation, so instead they are offering raw asics as an alternative to taking delivery of X3's as an option. The three main problems with that deal are: 1. Only one company can do anything with those asics in terms of wiring them into a hashing board, in Bulgaria, with at least two weeks lead time. + shipping times! 2. You need to shell out more money to do this or give up half your chips as payment! 3. By the time all the above is done you will be lucky to get your money back hashing. f) Those that stick with R17 will have to wait till August to see X3's hashing (maybe!) and even then we will be very lucky to see more than $1 in 3 of our investment back! So we are royally up the keiber without a paddle!! |

I feel truly let down. Not only by BA and their failure with hardware etc (thats somewhat expected in this new industry) but more so in the DZ mining Co Op as a whole. All this time I have had the impression that DZ, Thomas and Bobsag3 are really good guys and do their utmost to help and assist, however of late my feelings about this have changed.
They know things have gone horribly wrong, and yet although they have put some things in place, their customer service has gone down the toilet. In my eyes, some companies have to take a financial hit in order continue with their good name and reputation intact. The problem being that the hobby/business we are in is really about money and is reliant on things going to plan 1st time. Not only for businesses, but for customers.
Going very quiet when things go down the shitter and not honouring refunds upto the shipping date (even if that means your co op loses money) is just not on.
Thats three members of our community I hope to not have dealings with again. A refund really should be honoured, because what you promised has not happened. Whether thats your fault or not, DZ et al. I don`t care.
Get it done. Surely your other rounds have achieved enough money to enable at least partial refund?

DZ had nothing to do with that, and any shares we kept, with the hope of compensation, are going to be worth very little... that is the nature of pre-orders and it sucks!!! That said there are some options, and I think the chip option with using chips to pay for having them put on a board is the best option at this point... It will increase our total hashing by quite a bit, and likely be completed prior to the shipping of the x-3's. By the BA press release they only have the ability to make 10% of the X3s because they don't have any more money to build backplanes. The evidence I have for this is that they won't give refunds until after all units ship. They need all X3s to mine with to generate income. They will mine until they have the BTC to pay for refunds, LCDs, and backplanes. If they had the funds they would have built 100% of the backplanes. They claim a problem with the LCD manufacturer that is why no LCD. But could it be that they ran out of funds so they couldn't purchase LCDs for their units? They used up all of their funds for the chip build. They can offer conversions to chips because that is what they mostly have. There will be a PR today or tomorrow with some sort of excuse for why they aren't shipping X1 in quantities but they are still on schedule to ship X3 by end of month. This is all a smoke screen. IMHO the only solution to this mess is chip conversion and having Technobit build a miner. I see no other hope. |

How about those who want to, pool their X3-mined coins (assumptions apart  ) till they get this ten grand? Could we get up to ~16 coins? With how many shares/holders? Then we sue and pass the lube back to ba.  I'm in. |
