There are quite many "generated an incorrect block" issues. Cfb, are we under attacks right now ?

this file doesnt have all .nxt files. should we delete all our curren .nxt files in our existing nxt folder before copying the 3 files in this new nxtfiles.zip file to our existing nxt folder? Overwriting does the same thing as first deleting these 3 files and copying new ones. Ergo - just overwrite. You don't actually need these 3 files from "nxtfiles.zip". You need the client (0.4.2) from the first page. false statement - if you just copy those new files, the old ones that dont have updates stay where they are. I remember in the past that CfB would tell us to not do this - to keep all .nxt files synced when you write them. But he didnt give any guidance here one deleting the old ones am I on ann invalid chains? my last block I see is 22425 at 11712% and Im forging quite a few blocks in a shorrt period of time Did you even read fully what I said? If you copy the new files where there are none (because you deleted them, you will have the new files). I said the same thing as you did, rephrased. If you overwrite over the old one with the same name.ext, you will have the new file.

Yes, I see it. I set hallmark requirement for incoming requests and cut all zombies at once. Keep forging, tomorrow I'll release new version. That will be interesting to count number of forks.

I don't know how but it happened... my first block mined. Very exciting... 5 nxt reward not bad!
[EDIT] Two blocks... in few minutes, i have no words!
well, just hope you arent forging on the invalid forkedchain or you wont get to keep it I don't think so... i just ugraded to 0.4.2, copied all nxt and nxtfiles zip in nxt directory and restarted. This time i'm 4 blocks mined. 22451 3231774856984709013 domenica 22 dicembre 2013 23:12:23 0 0 + 0 0 B 1 18039927352306019470 404943 % you're right this is from CfB nxtfilez.zip 22451 2584657662098653454 domenica 22 dicembre 2013 23:11:28 8 176'000 + 8 1'205 B 1 17206535497525901438 8909 % quite different .... my balance has been corrected

This was a nono in the past, but we werent given any direction of deleting anything. Its just odd that there are only 3 files in that nxtfiles.zip

Hey guys, I'm am new to NXT but the whole thing intrigues me quite a bit. I have started the java application and opened the browser window. Account is unlocked ATM. From this point on I don't really know what to do. I have read through several topics now but it's still not entirely clear to me how this works. 1. I understand I need at least 1 NXT in order to generate/forge more NXT when I'm not buying them, correct? 2. Is there any setting I can alter to increase the amount of NXT I earn (RAM maybe?) 3. How can I estimate my profits? 4. If I want to continue forging, do I have to leave the cmd line running while I close my browser window and should I or should I not lock my account? Maybe these questions have been answered somewhere already, but please don't hate me for not reading 200+ pages in this topic alone. I did read quite a lot of them though. Last but not least, if anyone cares to get me started with NXT please consider a donation: NXT: 9072829419664063131 Thank you!

PSA: there are a lot of newbies here asking very good but very common questions. Please look at the Nxt Wiki for basic information. There is a description of Nxt, a Getting Started guide, an FAQ, and more. Some of the issues that are occuring now, due to DDOS etc., are not addressed on the wiki yet -- I'm hopeful they're resolve themselves with a bit of time and effort from CfB anyway. But all the other basics are there. Instead of posting beginner questions here, read the wiki.

No actually they are at the same branch. They just catch up with each other now one at 22490 and one at 22492 Is that normal ?
