The minimum fee should be set at 0.01 fast. What happens if NXT rises 10x in the next week? A $1 minimum fee? Ridiculous. It will be almost impossible to shake the relation nxt = very expensive transaction fees after that.
I'm sure the dev's understand this.

well...DOGE has passed BTC in 24 HOUR Volume per CMC...is this the first time ever that has happened? (sorry only joined cryptos last november...) Hopefully NXT get's there in the future until recently LTC was the only thing that even came close. Maybe during some LTC frenzy it did, but I seriously doubt it as all the LTC frenzies were during BTC frenzies. This is definitely historic moment. DOGE is proving that BTC is vulnerable. If DOGE can unseat BTC's trading volume, then it isn't so crazy for people to accept NXT unseating BTC market cap. I would much rather have BTC marketcap for NXT than BTC trading volumes. James What looks odd for the past days - DOGE turnover is 1/3 of its supply. How is that possible?

I really wonder how to participate in writing a NXT white paper amid such a clandestine environment..
Well, looks like I told too much... Think of such a hint: Why BCNext chose "Nxt" as the name of the project. This hint should make u busy until u get all 3 pieces of the puzzle. Hmmmm... the riddle is intriguing. I bet more will become clear when it is revealed WHO or WHAT registered the *.nxt gTLD. WTF! This is not only a coin currency transaction processor! This is also a SCI-FI movie!

All you have to do to make it go away is to tell me a valid reason why you can't add 3 bytes per transaction, while simultaneously adding 1000-byte arbitrary messages I don't want them to go away. It's very insteresting to watch their reaction when I reply with "Your bitcoins lost forever, sorry for that. Don't invest more than u can afford to lose."

Re-posting my Public Service Announcement:If you are new to Nxt and don't want to read through 1131 pages of posts, come to the wiki: - Learn about Nxt- Get started- get basic questions answered in the FAQ and common problems pages - Learn how to set up a public node on a VPS, using laowai80's steps- read up on the Nxt high-level API, which you can use to build apps, games, clients, utilities, and more - find additional resources for programmers, including suggested methods for handling transactions, a PHP library, and more.- check out the current draft version of the Nxt whitepaper, which is being built and refined by top community contributors (it's still rough, but there's lots of great content already) Also remember there are great forums with lots of info and support for beginners. Many of the best Nxt wiki articles are based on information originally contributed here: - The nxtcrypto.org forum- The nextcoin.org forumWiki contributors pull information from these threads every day to keep the wiki up to date. You can also help contribute, or translate. This thread is long and daunting for new folks, and most of the conversation here is not helpful for beginners. So don't get frustrated -- come to the places where new folks are welcomed and pampered! LOTS of little updates were made tonight, including newly-added gaming sites, exchanges, programming tips, feature descriptions, and more

Re: Voting...
Why are we still having this discussion?
Nxt is PoS, voting should be based upon stake: 1 NXT == 1 Vote.
It's the only fair way.
This seems obvious to me but maybe I'm missing something. Are small stakeholders afraid that large stakeholders will band together and vote to take away their money or something? Is something nefarious like that even possible? What mechanism is in place to enforce voting results? Big stakeholders could do that, but exactly after total value of NXT will become $0. Why they would do something like that?

Not bad for a second tier exchange! My guess is all the other second tier exchanges and some first tier ones will start seriously looking at adding NXT this month $100,000 per month in commissions is nothing to sneeze at. James

I only speak from conjecture, not knowledge. For a moment there, I thought my dotNxt.org registration was done for naught. (I have plans. Much technical reading to do still. I'll shut up and code now.)

WTF! This is not only a coin currency transaction processor! This is also a SCI-FI movie!
Real life applications of Artificial Neural Nets Function approximation, or regression analysis, including time series prediction, fitness approximation and modeling. Used to determine next account to forge and to speed up transaction times? Data processing, including filtering, clustering, blind source separation and compression. Obvious applications. Classification, including pattern and sequence recognition, novelty detection and sequential decision making. I think that's why it's written in java and uses base64/hex extensively ...

I use them. 5 pages of complaints (in 2 months) for an exchange that deals with dozens of altcoins and thousands of customers is not bad, especially considering the language barrier. I've never had a problem with either deposit or withdraw, but I am sure it is possible for some problems. If you run into a problem, make sure to send email translated into Chinese along with original English. Also, send deposits in increments, there is no fee for deposits. any problems bter has I would consider minor considering the alternatives James
