I think theres something wrong in the asset exchange test system  I issued 2 assets some time ago and they arent showing up, though I did get Ids for them:

# ncli placeAskOrder holms.cloudapp.net PASSPHRASE 15328485893864579482 100000 2 1 100

    transaction: 11152796696257253233
#

# ncli issueAsset holms.cloudapp.net PASSPHRASE Widget Thingamabobdoohickey 1000 1000

    transaction: 11636237124380534441

#

I noticed the test system doesnt seem to respond to most API commands either;  Ive never been able to getBalance to getState or anything like that, or to send NXT to another account.

seems to work fine for me  - created asset, sent asset, placed asm order, sent money, get transactions etc

please check this
http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=3000&acc=6635869272840226493

While I am writing, recent transfers for the account are all transfer in, the transfer amount is more than 6M, while the balance of the account is less than 3M, how could this happen?

there are more pages
(that's dgex account btw)

Page 1 is the most recent records, right?  The balance is less than the recent transfer amount (which all are transfer in),  doesn't that mean the balance is negative before those transfers?

Something is wrong with the site, on the blockchain in my local client I'm seeing 213 confirmations on that transaction - while on the site, it says 3

http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=2000&tra=10556286089892141388

Also see here

http://www.mynxt.info/blockexplorer/details.php?action=ac&ac=6635869272840226493

I believe those other transactions came after the 5 M, not sure why the other blockchain site has the order messed up.

agree with relm9

you can check with http://localhost:7874/nxt?requestType=getTransaction&transaction=10556286089892141388

JL, could you please explain in simple Joe words what causes "generating an incorrect block..." error? In one month of using NRS of newest version, I get only these errors.
Maybe this?

Announcement

http://holms.cloudapp.net:6874/ hosts test version of NRS with enabled Asset Exchange. U can play with APIs here. PM me if u find any bugs, plz.

NB: Don't use ur real account on the testnet. If u need some test coins then ask Klee for that, he is supposed to send the coin coz this server is provided by him me to send u some coins.

oops - is the testnet down, or is it just me bumbling around with the cloudapp link? Had my computer on standby overnight, but I don't seem to be able to re-establish connection to http://[Suspicious link removed]/3B0Z0U0C2n0D / http://holms.cloudapp.net:6874/

It seems that Jaguar's implementation is the only one that achieved the 100TPS. Is this true? No offense to the others, but would there be a reason for people to use the slower versions?
I might have misunderstood the benchmarks in that thread as I didn't find any benchmarks of all four on the same computer

What you don't see in the scores, is that there was both rivalry and cooperation.
I think hoax was the first one to have fastest implementation.
Jaguar's initial trials were quite slow, and his approach changed after tips from both hoax (drop long) and BloodyRookie (switch to 16bit math).
Also BloodyRookie probably nailed down the problem in math behind Curve.sign, which probably deserves separte credit itself: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=397183.msg4645132#msg4645132

I was bit late t the party, I joined when I've seen info in "flaws" thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=397183.1080
The only credit I think I can give to myself is "hinting", what's up with magic is_negative...

Still, we all have spent fair amount of time working on this

Seems like they are scamming people.

Edit: my deposit that I sent about 9 hours ago just came through.

first of all id like to report that i have been forging with 5.5 client for a week now and no errors and no restart was needed but no blocks were generated with about 150k. normal ?

No one should be using anything but 0.5.9 now!

The Transparent Forging phase 2 will be activated at block 47000 which is approaching. Those still using older versions will be left out on a fork. Those using 0.5.7 are broadcasting malformed blocks and transactions and will be blacklisted. 0.5.8 is ok, but 0.5.9 is much more stable, there is no excuse not to upgrade.

I reserve the right to run 0.6.0 myself.

the excuse is that we have a life too and work and families and we can't log every 2h to update the client that is not backwards compatible.
this only happens with nxt almost all other clients and software for that matter can "last" more than 2 weeks without "urgent need to upgrade otherwise you get blacklisted and forked".

I dont seem to see any APIs (at least not listed in the wiki) regarding queries on which assets an account owns, or how many of them your account owns.  Have these just not been documented yet, or are they not in the software?

I think they r not implemented, post in Nxt API thread what requests u need.

- an API which by passing an asset id to show all accounts owning qtys of the asset
- an API which by passing an asset id to show all bid_ask orders for them including account IDs maybe so we can build order book. Maybe to show accout id so one day we can send message to an account an offer some bargain Smiley Also with account id maybe the exchange will be more transperant
- an API which by passing an account id shows all the assets owned by the account

Also unsure if thats doable but could the BID_ASK order has a little Comment? Unsure what it be used for hahah but sounds coool:)

Hey, they are accepting alts :

The company is also announcing the addition of three more altcoins to its exchange: Megacoin (MEC), Worldcoin (WDC) and Quark Coin (QRK)

We should push Nxt to this exchange ! It would be much better for them to add Nxt than shitty coins.

Just like DGEX, Bter wanna hold as much NXT as they can get for (very) long period of time to earn money on transaction fees.

Having a normal life and participating in a groundbreaking almost alpha-stage (something) never worked well and it never will.

0.5.9 is available since 19-Jan-2014 11:05, 0.5.8 is available since 16-Jan-2014 20:06. It is nowhere near "every 2h to update".

theres nothing here. message me if you want to put something here.
