I agree with BCNext. NXT's core shouldn't rely on trust.
+1 Right, we have different options and ideas, what we can do with Nxt, AE and Coins-on-Top. Could we keep this in mind when we discuss game tokens, loans, trust-api, ... Maybe it is crystal clear for the smart ones but I want to be sure that everyone is on the same track.

I'm still on a steep learning curve but would be happy to help as a tester provided inexperience no barrier. Assuming it isn't, how do I participate?

NxtopiaEzravdb, Damelon, EvilDave, Uniqueorn, and all other geeks/gamers -- let's do this! Nxtopia is just a working title. I'm off for a little bit to go pick up my fiancé, but hopefully there will be other enthusiastic gamers here so we can start bringing a manageable shape to this idea. I think this is a great idea and would like to start a directed bounty fund for it. I will start with 5000 NXT bounty for a working game. I hope others will also support this. In game currency is very valuable to the gamers and with NXT as the in game currency and millions upon millions of gamers, well that is a good combination. It also gives a direct use scenario for NXT. Very good idea! Just need to refine it more. I bet once it has a monetization plan, you will find NXT investors to fund the development. James Salsa, James -- thank you for the huntercoin tip! With our community, and the AE, I have no doubt at all that a Nxt-based MMORPG will be a 'massive' 'game' changer (did you see what I did there?) James, I have limited funds but I will match 10% of your bounty and put up 500 NXT. Does it go to the community fund address (13776816462073143763)? Will get caught up on the last two pages and start coalescing everything going on in my noggin. EvilDave -- yes, my gaming time has gone to *0* since Nxt. Yes, just post txid and denote it as a directed donation. You can then do what TwinWinNerD did with tipbot, eg. call for more donations and become the project evangelist. The more people that become actively involved in projects, the better. My charter as trustee is to listen to the community and what better way than to help enable projects from the community? This is something all of you that are lurking can do, even if you dont have the programming skills, all you need is to be able to know what you would like. Then if others also like it, donations come in and the bounty gets big enough until somebody that can do it and also likes the idea, does it. James

Do we have a "*cough* centralized *cough* spot where all the different designed logos, wallpapers and such are stored?
I've been thinking of designing a few clothing items with the logo on them. To start some simple sweaters, t-shirts and scarves.
My brother has an advertising agency and has been doing this (amongst other things) for 15 years. He could make some worthwhile stuff.

The game should be playable on mobile phones. It would appeal to the broadest range of users if the theme wasn't based on cryptocurrencies just the in-game credits.
Agreed. In-game currency wouldn't have to be called NXT. In honor of CfB, we could call them 'Roobles' and they could look like rubies. You can issue an Asset for the ingame currency. NXT would be the largest denomination that would also be in the game for the big treasures, but for most common use it could just be the Roobles. If you want the Roobles to float in value against NXT, then just let the Asset Exchange do its thing. If you want it to be tied to NXT, you can just put bid/ask at a fixed exchange rate. Also, I dont see why to limit to a single game. Games are BIG! I suggest keeping track of all the ideas and start with the fastest to get working. Doing something simple is a great learning experience. Then the second game becomes more ambitious, etc. James P.S. Please keep track of all the donations that come in for this, I have a feeling the total will become quite large, especially if you offer ingame Vorpal swords to big donors

Come-from-Beyond, how difficult would it be to add a feature to the asset exchange allowing accounts to trust other accounts for a certain asset up to a specific amount? The system would have to be able to handle shifting debt balances.
Not very hard. but, but, this is essentially ripple. They have so many people working for so long and its "Not very hard." I knew there was a reason I divested myself of XRP and put it into NXT James

Unclaimed coins funds and committees... ... Three committees will be created:
NXTinfrastructurefund (more hardware related, VPS, clients)
- I think it is no need in NXTinfrastructurefund, because we can not fund hardware in order to keep Nxt network. That would be a centralisation. BCNext said he expected the community to pay for the servers. There are things like the community gateways that I want to get in place that offer at cost services to the community, eg. non-profit. For security, these will need to be hosted in Amazon secure servers, which are not cheap, but since they will be dealing with bitcoin transactions it is most important. Also, for achieving 1000TPS, especially at first, the community needs to subsidize. While this isnt totally decentralized, I am requiring at least 5 community gateways to provide multisig for each other. The lower the cost of the gateway into NXT economy, the bigger the NXT economy will get. James

Not very hard. I don't know ... is there any reason why the client should not be able to do this itself? Better not overload the backend with functionality that is not essential to the core btw, CfB: there seems to be something wrong with the 'sendMoney' function on the testnet, I have been trying browser, webwallet, and my client, but it seems to not work ...

I forgot my sarcasm tag Despite the fact i used " " in my post about subprime mortgages, we should think about some "wall street type guys"-functions. Just because something is not in the NXT core, doesnt mean we cant implement something on top of it. There are no restrictions that all NXT services have to be decentralized. the core must be, but I imagine the vast majority of end use services will have at least some part of it centralized. If you think about it each and every NXT Asset is centralized, eg. single point of failure at the Asset issuer. So, everyone can build whatever real world analogue they want, using the NXT infrastructure. That is what I did with nodecoin. It is totally centralized as I have it hardcoded reporting in to one of my servers, but I was able to create very coin-like functionality in one day. That is the power of NXT, with a little imagination, you can pretty much do anything. If anybody has something they want to see, but you dont know how it could be built on top of NXT, just ask! With AM, NXT is already "Turing complete" so basically anything can be implemented, just need some programming James

I forgot my sarcasm tag Despite the fact i used " " in my post about subprime mortgages, we should think about some "wall street type guys"-functions. Maybe I shouldn’t have brought up Micro Loans and NXT may not want anything to do with them, but in 5 years I might want to help out the lady next door with her new small business by giving her a micro loan to buy a sewing machine, I wondered how the NXT platform could be used to both our advantages. Could NXT be the platform for micro loan contract/implementation/repayment rules etc, but then a different currency, lets call it DOSH or MicroNXT, which is built on NXT and my preferred day-to-day currency and which the sewing machine shop also accepts. So I can pay him but when she comes to pay me back, she still uses Bitcoin, so either she or I exchange that back to my preferred currency - DOSH. I'm just thinking of future real world applications and how this could play out using NXT features. If she splits with my Dosh, then that’s my bad debt and I adjust the contract accordingly and also write negative feedback in her NXT public profile. That’s the way of the world.

I want a discussion about possible services with AE or AM, api stuff and coins-on-top which could attract financial guys.
