ChuckOne, hope you don't mind, but I added your name for Nxt Technical Committee for unreleased funds.

I do not mind. Smiley

I am not sure how this committee will work, though. Let us see.

why shouldnt it work?

Would be better with 3 subforums, and 1 thread per suggested project. Too much in 1 thread now (like here).

can be arranged... working on it.

It's an Amazon AWS EC2, I have a lot of experience working with AWS.

Great. Smiley That should be it.

Regardless of the issues presented above. I think you did a great service to NXT. Have you already been supported/funded by some of these committees?

For the online wallet - no.

QUICK UPDATE

Atomic-Trade will be adding Nxt.  I'm paying for integration with my own funds since AT agreed to add USD/Nxt trade abilities.  This will allow any users to buy Nxt with USD directly.  Currently AT only offers USD/BTC trading, so we will have an advantage over other alts on the exchange. Also, when I get home this evening, expect Nxt to lead the voting in Mintpal Wink

Just a quick update for those not following the other thread: Nxtopia bounty has broken the 20,000 NXT mark after receiving our latest donation from msin.

--

Nxtopia -- MMORPG built on-top of the NXT network

current bounty: 20,500 NXT

5000 - jl777
1000 - swartzfeger (Transaction id: 12550164158045962834)
3000 - chanc3r (Transaction id: 5658009271669858297)
1000 - MyZhre (Transaction id: 8826881503135433086)
3000 - Damelon (Transaction id: 17094914052077797717)
1000 - DrearyUrbanite (Transaction id: 5539495976647418930)
1000 - brooklynbtc (Transaction id:   )
0500 - rdanneskjoldr (Transaction id: 91193539943795488)
5000 - msin (Transaction id:   )

This is an opportunity to support an online game that leverages many of Nxt's advanced features, one of the highlights being a user-driven crafting economy.

Donations can be sent to 13776816462073143763; please include tx id so I can include it when updating this post and making it easier for James to keep track of incoming transactions.

We're also considering implementing a kickstarter-style tier system for bounty donators. These would be cosmetic rewards that wouldn't be available after game launch. Something like:

10 NXT - badge
100 NXT - cap
1000 NXT - cape
10000 NXT - beta access (?)

Depending on how we handle character death/respawning, these items may be also confer a quicker resurrection.

How about an ingame auction house like WOW, but the ingame(atleaset in the auction house) currency is milli NXT or something?

Question:

How much do you think would a java based blockchain.info-like wallet for NXT cost to program? Do you think it would be worth to start a bounty for that?

Guys I have been thinking (<- typical  Roll Eyes).

If I am mining with alot of nxt and I wasn to send a transaction but I am okay if it takes the whole day to include, How about I DONT broadcast my transactions and just try to generate a block with my transactions + others. So whenever I find a block I will actually be sending NXT for free.

Is there any major flaws in this logic, I mean can anyone here point them out because sure there are plenty Tongue.

- Lophie

No flaw, that's fine. U have to choose between get 1000 NXT fee and pay 10 NXT fee for ur transactions OR get 990 NXT fee and pay 0 NXT fee for ur transactions. The former is better coz ur transactions r processed earlier.

Hey guys i need some help!

The reddit-tip-bot went opensource now and i need someone to check the code before i release the Bounty to the dev. Can someone please do this?

Please please Smiley

Quote

The source code resides in https://github.com/nxtip/nxtip and is GPLv2 licensed!

The bot is based on ALTCoinTip, with some extra files that emulate the bitcoind daemon behavior as far as ALTCoinTip is concerned, plus handle the deposits. See the src/ctb/nxtip* files.

Please contact me, there is a bounty for the code checking!

Again PUSH

is there an api call that returns all api calls, or is it possible to access the javadoc @ https://nxt.airdns.org:7875/doc/ to get a list of all api calls? I am a bit panicky on missing out on important things, e.g. as with the vote thingy, which I only just picked up en passant
There is no API to get them all, but in the javadoc each class under the nxt.http package handles exactly one API call. Unfortunately I haven't had the time to document their parameters and return values in the javadoc itself.
The javadoc is also available on your local node under webapps/root/doc.
It was CfB who added the voting system, and it is not enabled yet, so I didn't have much to say about it in the changelog.

Thanks, that is a nice pointer to know where to look!
Getting the params and return values is not a big problem, it ain't like there'd be hundreds or so added each week  Grin

Yes well that's what my wallet will do (it will be downloadable, not just on the web)

very cool.  A system that does not have to maintain complete blockchain and can just send transactions to public nodes and query for inbound transactions will be tremendous for NXT and its adoption

The part where blockchain.info works within you browser and no information leaves your browers, only the encrypted backup on your server. As i understand, we can now sign transactions without the client?

We basically need an online wallet WITHOUT trust.

real cash to items is banable in most of games expetialy in Blizzard games.
Every game have their own "Gold"  "damonts" economy there is no need for NXT version of it inside.
But good luck. Game where you can trade for real cash are paid for win all players almost avoided it.
Its like playing with cheats.

this is laggy, wait for some time, if nothing changes, just contact the support. We should even be at 20.0000!

Can someone send me links to any secure online Nxt wallets available?  Working with a couple exchanges to add Nxt and want to make it easy for their end users.  Thanks.

Don't trust online wallets.

Just implement your own wallet app and make it opensource to let other contribute and audit the code base.

please define secure Grin in online.

maybe: https://wallet.mynxt.info/

Still beta, i think.

No online secure wallet is possible until Nxt implements local signing.

CFB mentioned that he is working on that.
