Just downloaded newest Pennies wallet of 0.10.2.1 and started to syn without pennies.conf file and just deleted all others file except wallet.dat, now, my wallet shows up of current number blocks: 294299 and my deposits getting instantly to that exchange www.swisscex.com , ofcourse it shows unconfirmed first in the site, but after awhile it can be traded.

I just deleted everything from my client, it's syncing now but it only says downloaded 24000 of 288800 blocks, why is it not recognising or trying to download the 294299 blocks?

I was wondering the same thing.  It started out at 261000 and is now 288800.

Yep, it will update automatically, don't worry, mine showed up something like 26... too, this is by default I think.

You don't necessarily need to copy the private keys, you can recover from an existing wallet even if you switch chains.

For a start ignore the block crawler at http://altexplorer.info/chains/CENT/block_crawler.php because they're not even synced and using an outdated version which makes it impossible to sync from scratch. You need to be using Pennies 0.10.2.1.abe which can be downloaded here

You should instead use my block crawler here as a point of reference:

Ensure your Pennies client is closed and then Delete everything from %Appdata%\Pennies except for wallet.dat and pennies.conf and then download this archive and extract the contents into %Appdata%\Pennies.

Next open up pennies.conf in a text editor and remove any nodes you may already have in there and replace with the peers listed here. Also add this line:

rescan=1

Save the file and exit then load up Pennies 0.10.2.1, as your client will be rescanning the blockchain it will take longer to start up than it normally does so give it time.

Wait until you're fully synced, you should only be 24 hours behind at most and you can check the state of synchronization by comparing against my block crawler. Once you're sure you're fully synced click on the Command Line Banking button and type:

repairwallet

This will reclaim any transactions that didn't make it onto the fork such as blocks you may have staked on another fork. You will then be able to restake them on this fork.

EDIT: You can remove rescan=1 from pennies.conf once it's started up initially.

I have been waiting about 12 hours to sync.  Can I please ask you a question concerning the contents of your pennies.config file?

Did you use ONLY the peers provided and the rescan=1 line?  Or is there some other code in your pennies.config file that I'm missing?  Thank you

I tried few inputs and it worked for 2 of them. Those cents are now on swisscex its almost good but... Swisscex still shows them as pending with 0 confirmations from almost an hour but pennies.kicks-ass.net/block_crawler.php shows many confirmations. Can someone explain what to do in this situation? How to unify all my inputs to be in compatibility with swisscex? Maybe I should dump private key and import it on different pennies address?

How do you got this "coin control feature"? I'm using 0.10.2.1.abe and there isn't anything like this.

You need to go to "Actions -> Options -> Display -> Coin Control" and enable the option

Can someone pm me with a barney style tutorial breakdown of how to fix my cent wallet it has been broke since block 242998 for about 35 days. Where to find files to delete, save, or replace. I made the mistake of sending 50,000,100 cent from cryptsy to my wallet and I really want to recover my cent. The cent that I have lost has not appeared back in my cryptsy wallet and it is out there in the abyss. Hopefully if I can fix my wallet I'll get it back. Much appreciated. Thank you.

Cryptsy was on this chain up until a couple of weeks ago. Not sure what chain they're on now but the fact that Mullick's altchain explorer is currently resyncing is promising.

I got the same problem, 0 confirmations on the SwissCex website but 12 on the explorer, I also resynced my wallet same way you did except I didn't need to add any inputs

It's taking forever to download the chain. it took 12 hours to download a little over 500 blocks.
Is this normal?

Well yeah, probably your peers are long distance from you, so it go slower, like if you are from EU and peers are from US , or something like that, it will go much slower than from peers near you.
I'm going to redownload blockchain too, because I think I f*cked up with wrong blockchain and send all my CENTS in the wrong one, so now I will use private keys to move to the hopefully right chain.

It took less than 7 hours for me to download it yesterday. When my wallet stucked few times for a longer time i restarted it and it helped because after this download speed was good. Dont know if its a solution but its Worth considrring, i think because you never know for how long it stucked

We're on a dead fork so transactions are not being confirmed.

Someone should inform them to follow the instructions here and get on the longest fork which is still growing. The number of peers on this chain is growing and even Mullick's block crawler is synced to it now.
