At this rate (7,625,794,899 in 17 minutes), if it's real, it's over 500B a day or 1 trillion every two days.  I see that as a rapid growth.

Stop whining and start reading........the stake used to be 1000% that means after 9 days the 40 trillion would become 400 trillion. Please kindly, pull some of your head out of your ass and do some minor calculations.

I have read and understand fully.  If you think one trillion new coins every two days is fine, so be it.

My calculations since 00:00 on the 8th are as follows:

8 Jan 00:00:00 GMT
"blocks" : 256366,
"moneysupply" : 39677112066509.00000000,

17 Jan 20:40:00 GMT
"blocks" : 242824,
"moneysupply" : 39679526564987.00000000,

Total over the 236.67 hours tracked:
13,542 blocks
2,414,498,478 CENT

The difference between 2.5 billion in 9 days and 7.6 billion in 17 minutes is great and perhaps relevant, but if you're happy, I'm happy.

Where do we stand with max txfer amount?  I want to consolidate my wallet to a new one so I don't have 5-6k entries in my registry any more.

You need to average out the transactions over a 9 day period; come back with 9 days of data. The stake are not uniform, people have larger stake than others. Your head is still slightly stuck, keep pulling.

I took numbers over 8 days and 20 hours.  I'll wait 4 more hours and check again.

According to the announced changes per https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=359000.msg4009924#msg4009924
and supported by The_Catman in these comments https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=359000.msg4168033#msg4168033

Stake was reduced 10,000 times and, under the new stake, 100,000 Pennies would stake 900.

Even if we were to assume all 40 trillion were in wallets and receiving stake, it would only total 360 billion every 9 days.  And you think 1 trillion every 2 days is good?

@Everyone: The blockchain's still forked up. It's gonna take awhile (and probably a few more checkpoints) to get it all sorted out. And by "awhile" I mean awhile, not 5 minutes. This shit's gonna take time, lots of it.

I give up trying to help those that don't understand how cryptocurrency works, or in this case doesn't.

i have the same problem, that i had send 1 or 100 cent to cryptsy, its show up after a few min, but sent 10000 or 900,000,000 cent to cryptsy, there did not show up.
besides that, why there is shown different cents number when i use different wallet client(10.0 and 10.2), but same wallent.dat?

Seems no problem if you send CENTs from old transaction (before 8 Jan). But if you send new generated trans. (after 8 Jan) there is a problem. You can check that by choosing inputs before sending Cents to Cryptsy.

I'm also having issues with sending to a Cryptsy address (latest wallet), A small transfer worked perfectly (<100), but a larger one (approx 50k) dissappeared. Both did get thousands of confirmations, but the bigger one did not show up at Cryptsy.

Now what? Is there something I personally can do? Or do we need to wait for another wallet update?
I'm getting confused by the talks about forking, chains.. an address is an address, right?

Sorry, I switched the block numbers around, must have had my head stuck up my ass.  At 00:00:00 GMT on the 8th, there were 242,824 blocks.  Today at 20:40:00 GMT, there were 256,366.  According to my wallet, now at 18 JAN 00:20:24, there are 256,546 blocks and 39,679,550,635,893 coins.

Problem is other wallets are showing a much larger amount, and growing at a much faster rate.  Which is correct?  I don't think anyone can answer.

If you had actually read this page you would know where the -unk wallet comes from, and what -unk means.

Here is one difference:
"version" : "v0.10.2.0-abe",
"version" : "v0.10.2.0-unk-abe",

Yeah, -unk is just added when somebody compiles from source and the compiler can't find the origin. In other words, the compiler couldn't find the git metadata.

My v0.10.2.0-abe wallet is taking forever to start up and when it is it consumes 25% of my processor.....
Anyone with the same issue?

Probably almost everyone, the blockchain is huge so it takes to long to boot and the network is a mess so it eats up all your cpu. Can't do anything about that right now.

catman,The total is still in rapid growth!

[...]

22:35:54  "moneysupply" : 40549500191757.00000000,
22:52:02  "moneysupply" : 40557125986656.00000000,

Ahahah, that's hardly rapid growth. That's crawling compared to what it was previously.

Ok guys, how does everyone think that we can make this coin viable again? It would be nice to at least get back our initial investments...The longer we wait the more likely that this coin and others like it will become too obsolete to profit from...I really like pennies, I have 15 billion at the moment and I would invest more if we could develop a plan of action...

I couldn't really give a damn about your "investments", you were a fool to invest in pennies and I feel no obligation to assist any of you in that regards.

The future of pennies is simple, as it was always intended it will be a play money. Something for parents/teachers to use to teach their children about cryptocurrencies and economics. Perhaps also for use as a tipping currency when you give someone your "two cents" or a "penny for their thoughts". That's it, that's all. The value should stay exactly how it is, at most it could be allowed to reach 1satoshi LTC again, nothing more.

No, I am serious, I want to think about ways to improve its chances, not just assume it's a complete failure. Several people have talked about the possibility of this coin being used as a base currency like PrimeCoin...why would that not work? I really want to know, I am not joking or being sarcastic...

Why the fuck would you ever think a broken, worthless cryptocurrency could ever be used as a base trading currency? How could you even ask a question this fucking idiotic? It's clunky, slow, broken, worthless, and for fucks sake it uses proof of stake. No one who even thinks about running an exchange would even try to consider that that might be a good idea.

@Everyone: The blockchain's still forked up. It's gonna take awhile (and probably a few more checkpoints) to get it all sorted out. And by "awhile" I mean awhile, not 5 minutes. This shit's gonna take time, lots of it.

Hi Catman, I think there are still way too many cents around. Do you think it is better to recude the stake further due to the extremely large existence of cents.

Like I says:  CENT has straight up busted the ShitCoin yardstick and I done gone set that standard as low and as shitty as possible.

CENT has sunk lower than SHT (and CENT has real, multiple devs.  lol) and now appears to be circling the bowl.

Almost time to flush this Turd and crown ShitCoin as the champion over one more failed CrapCoin.

Hi,

The pricewall on Cryptsy is decreasing
Over the past week the pricewall of 1 NanoPRime has decreased from 13k Primecoins to 6k. People are buying this and it is probably related to Catman actively working on fixing this coin.

Since words don't work maybe pictures along with words will.

These were found here
Hey VLAD can you see your shitcoins selling on ebay?

EDIT:

Those sales above are not from me, I sold all but 3.3 trillion on Bter and a little on Cryptsy. I made much more than what the dude from Ireland is selling them for.

You can get them right now for 25% of the above listed sale prices.  Pennies on Crypsy, at 0.00000001 XPM equates to about 31,000,000 per $1.
