i5 3470k
HD 7870
4GB RAM

Was mining for an hour well trying to. Have yet to get anything :/
Sitting at 50-70 KH's, my cooling is not great so don't really want to push my GPU to much, can't get another one if it dies

I'm about to send you some coin but seeing that your rig is faster than mine... Go mine.

I have an old cpu and an HD7770, with intensity set to 12, I can do other stuff while my gpu mine.
I use GPU for mining and I get ~120KH/s at intensity 12 and ~150KH/s at intensity 13. Can go faster if I set the intensity higher but I love my GPU.
I use GUIminer scrypt (same miner I use for mining litecoins) http://guiminer.org/guiminer-scrypt.html

It's going to 10 satoshi.... watch.

The miner's will crush it today. The Cryptsy bump is over and now the instamine factor is kicking in.
It's approaching having lost 90% of it's value if it hits 25.

I'm not saying it will not work out long long term. But the next 2 months will be brutal with 800 mil coins a day coming down.
The volume is mostly sells for awhile now.

Bad blood must be cleared. It's getting ugly now.
The number of new coins/day will steadily and rapidly decrease with the difficulty going up.

Thing is they can hardly be making anything off it. Infact its probably more profitable mining something else right now. My miners pulled in a measly 13k over night in 12 hours, Down from 70k day before, 120k day before that. Ive not checked the pool luck maybe its a bit out.
So if i mined 26k all day today and sell at 64 satoshi where it is now on cryptsy it makes me .01 BTC for the day- WTF. I can make that and more on almost any coin heh. its beyond retarded now and i really feel sorry for anyone selling because theyve lost the plot.

coins dont decrease til block halving. But if the difficulty goes up it means more miners - so more dispersed.

That's because people are leaving Cryptsy enmasse.  They're more worried about getting charts fixed on the site than resolving the deposit issue.  Look at coins-e or vircurex, screw Cryptsy.

Difficulty goes up so it means LESS miners.  Those with lower end rigs will drop out so less miners not more for the reason you stated.

I don't know how many have noticed but Coins-E has put a false buy order of .00000145 on the order book.
And it will not go away. It's stuck there. hmm.

Not sure if that is intentional but it has the effect of tricking coinwarz script into thinking
the coin is 2-3x more profitable to mine that it actually is today.

http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency
63,607.6904 /
59,456.5208
0.00000145 (Coins-E)
+24.03 %
   43,562,212.12    $57.75 PER DAY !! Not today.

I saw this coming 36 hours ago.. watch out guys. Miner's about to dump again.

Miners are fooled by the coinwarz and multipools - the price and profitability shown there is not the real one. So they will be really sorry for their lost time/power in digging not the best profitable coin and maybe they will keep away from such multipools in future. Not too bad at all.

That's not what happened to litecoin.

Whenever the asics miners for scrypts arrives, whatever the gpu miners choose to use will see their price skyrocket in value.

So what's #2 for scrypt behind litecoin? :|

Did anyone actually red coinwarz FAQ?

Quote
How is the Bitcoin exchange rate calculated for a given crypto currency?

The exchange rate displayed is based on a weighted arithmetic mean (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weighted_arithmetic_mean) calculation using the open bids to total minimum BTC depth of 0.1 BTC.

In other words, we take all the open bids (in BTC) from highest to lowest that add up to at least 0.1 BTC, and then using these bids, we calculate the exchange rate using some simple math.

So to hide it from coinwarz we have to REMOVE all the bids we made HIGHER then current price an ADD a lot of bids at the LOWEST possible price. Am I right or am I missing something?

Surely this depends on the makeup of the miners? If its ALL 100,000 Khash big boys they yes i can see that, but like the other poster said thats not what happened to LTC.
On a side not looks like difficulty just dropped a tad. Not that it really makes much difference :p

Forgot about the asic miners for scrypt.  Point taken.  There's still about 6 months before they arrive though.

EDIT:  Just checked and pre-orders are right around the corner Undecided
