WTF Samsung is planning to run away with our 24 minutes of glory? And why the fuck are those Jamaica bobbers posing for pictures for this, did they sell us out?

IT sure Looks like Samsung saw a good thing and the Jamaicans got bought out!

People need to send this info to the news so we can get more coverage that Samsung is stealing the glory.

I'm not on redit so someone post that link there.

What? Stealing?
Do you guys understand difference between donating and sponzoring?  Shocked
Do you guys know that Jamaica bobsled raised 180 000 USD, so 150 000 USD are from another peoples not only Dogecoin?  Shocked
OMG. Some peoples here are really *beep*

BTW, dont worry. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-02-04/jamaican-bobsledders-ride-dogecoin-into-olympics.html

STOP GETTING SCAMMED BY BIG POOLS AND MINE IN THE CLOSEST (for ping) PEER TO PEER POOL (P2POOL)

Here is a list with pings.

http://p2pool.jir.dk/dogecoin/

I have yet to see more than a handful of doges from any p2pool. I understand why we should use it, but the results have been a joke for me so i wont be wasting any more time on that shit.

p2pool is great invention..its ddos protected..but its very bad for random coin couse its having small hashrate (1-1.5gh right now)

Tylerderden, i really dont understand what are you trying here.

I'm not trying anything. I have switched pools several times and wasted days of mining with minimal return, I just think that some current stats or something would serve everyone better than going to all the trouble to switch pools waiting a few days, getting very few coins, and then switching back only to find out you just wasted 2 days of mining. Don't you think that there has to be a better way than learning the hard way? that's all i'm getting at. I'm not trying to be a dick or siding with anybody. I would love to switch pools and be happy I did for once. I go into it with positive expectations and it doesn't ever seem to turn out. It wouldnt' be hard to show everybody some results instead of just spamming their pools every few days right?

Go here
http://doge.netcodepool.org/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks

see the no. of doges found by netcodepool in last 7 days i.e. 62159902.415107

now divide it by the total number of blocks found by netcodepool in last 7 days i.e 115

Therefore,  62159902.415107/115 = 540520 DOGEs per block (40,000 above the normal 500,000 due to good luck recently)

Average block sizes of bigger pools than us is 450,000-478,000.  How?    shady! that's how

But do you know that average revard per block till now is 498698.54992267 DOGE?  Wink

And please dont say shady.

I will ask you again: Is pool.dogechain.info shady too?

BTW, average revard for your pool in last 12 months is under global revard.  Wink  So are you shady too?  Grin

right on. So your pool is smaller also, so payout should be better? ok now, i may switch and give you guys a chance i may not, but if your stats are right and i get less payout, than where did all the doge's go if my payout was less? and that's my point, results man. If i get 1/4 less than where i'm at now and you guys mined more blocks, than the shady pool would be the one paying out less since they mined more blocks and payed out less right? or no?

Is anyone else a little upset/sketched out that there is no cap?  I thought 100,000,000 coins was a fuck ton, but I thought it would be cool that dogecoin was the first coin to cap out of them all.... well come to find out that isn't the case at all.  I feel like this needs to be capped @ what we all thought it was.  I believe the word capped was even used on the OP.

Edit:
I have sold my doges until this is figured out. Such profit!
it will take almost 200 years to reach a trillion dogecoins.

lol um... ok?
if it takes almost 200 years to reach a trillion dogecoins, it doesn't really make a difference if there is a hard limit or not.

bitcoin won't even reach 21 million until ~2140.  for your lifetime and my lifetime, that is a coin with no cap.  there will be no difference in what the coin is worth in our lifetime.

If anyone is looking for a good DOGE p2pool I have a node running in the Central US at http://doge.ogres.org:22550/static/

We have been operating at 105% efficiency over the last week and have plenty of bandwidth for more miners.

It is hosted on a dedicated server with a 1.6 Gb/s network connection (Central US).

Should be pretty low latency for anyone in the US:

Connection settings:
 cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://doge.ogres.org:22550 -u YourDogecoinAddress -p x --expiry 9 --scan-time 9 --queue 1
 cudaminer -o doge.ogres.org:22550 -O YourDogecoinAddress:x

As I said before if you are moving to a smaller pool like netcodepool, you will have to mine for atleast 24 hours (more if you have very low hash-power, like below 500)

Smaller pool = slower and larger payouts

Bigger pool = faster and smaller (shady) payouts, cuz they can easily tweak "numbers" in block page, among a large number of miners so its not noticeable to an average user.

nevertheless I always say, go to coinwarz, enter your hashes. Give 24 hours to a test pool. Another day > Coinwarz > 24 hours on another test pool > Compare results and keep mining on the pool that gets closer to the coins appearing on coinwarz.

As I said before if you are moving to a smaller pool like netcodepool, you will have to mine for atleast 24 hours (more if you have very low hash-power, like below 500)

Smaller pool = slower and larger payouts

Bigger pool = faster and smaller (shady) payouts, cuz they can easily tweak "numbers" in block page, among a large number of miners so its not noticeable to an average user.

cool. So I know i said i wouldn't switch again but i'm willing to donate a few days of mining just to be fair and see if your pool is any less shady  Wink. i'll point one of my 400 khs cards at you guys for a few days and give you a chance. If the results are shit for the second time then whatever, my loss. if they are better or at least close to equal i'll switch the rest of my shit over and everybody is happy. If the results are garbage than i'm not switching anymore. I think most people would rather not be part of the big mining pools but results are what matters in the end.
