Qtum have been a huge success now!One of the Skycoin devs, told people to buy Byteballs when it was at $0.10 and its at $700 or $900 dollars now too. There are only four or five coins who have solid teams, who are able to execute and who are making technical innovations. Every single one of those coins have appreciated hundreds of times in value. There used to be a multiple year buffer period between technical innovation, userbase growth and the price increase, but because of index traded funds the window to buy the non-shit coins has decreased from years to less than three months. Once a large fund decides to allocate 2% of its holding into a particular coin, the prices can go from $0.10 to $900 in weeks. |

The CX programming language already has genetic algorithms demos, where programs can be evolved in 2000 generation for polynomial fitting. It is an abstract syntax tree (AST) based language, based around "affordances". - It is mathematically deterministic by design. - It uses COLA (combined object lambda architecture) (by Alan Kay) - It is neither functional nor procedural, but is based upon category theory - CX programs are CX program objects - A CX program object is interpreted by another program object - the language only has a representation as an abstract syntax tree because it cannot be represented in a fixed syntax (but to programmer will look like golang) - the kernel of the language is very small and is simpler than LISP. - the language allows declarations of predicates over processes and unifies by the pi calculus (calculus of processes and predicates over processes) and lambda calculus (calculus of computations). - the language is determined by the requirements of being closed under the transitive closure of certain mathematical operations and types of reflections - programs can be stopped mid execution, serialized into byte strings and deserialized and execution continuing on another computer. This is a "cloud native" programming language for building decentralized systems. - It is very similar to and heavily inspired by Urbit and the source independent networking concept in Urbit - The performance will be higher than C and the battery usage on mobile will also be lower compared to C. CX is a long term research project. CX can be used for "Smart Contracts", but that is not what it is for. It is truely throwing the pearls in front of the swine if the only use for CX ends up being used to make online prediction market for sports betting. |

Maybe because you are doxing him? There are over 80 developers, publicly on github and then a lot of people who are not public. You chose an absolutely random one and just started stalking him and doxing a kid who is two years out of college. lol While ignoring the higher profile people. None of the crypto people have facebooks, twitters or public profiles. They are not on telegram and you cannot talk to them unless you are on cjdns. Keep digging. Linux+VPN+TOX is the minimum security level for just the second tier of developers. Maybe you will find the invite only darknets if you look hard enough. The ones that do not compile on windows. And then when you get that far, to the ones that require physical hardware to even connect to the network. To keep out people who cannot follow instructions and the people who cannot solder. Then maybe you will find the people arguing about whether the TPW P4-15 is safe for bitcoin or whether its a honey pot or whether its safer to compile your own CPU on an FPGA and somewhere in there, you will probably find some of the skycoin developers. If the government cannot figure out what you are doing, they cannot harass you. It is also good to leave some honey pots out, use cutouts, plausible deniability, delegate, cause confusion and then have enough blackmail material that it is not worth bothering you. As you go up the pyramid there is less and less information. More confusion and uncertainty. If you are querying the unspent outputs for an address, you should obviously be doing it asynchronously through a remailer network and mix-net and you should be injecting all your transactions over the mixnet, but who does that? Isnt it valuable metadata and makes you a target, just for someone to know that you are running a node for a particular coin? Is there anything that the conmen who own the world do not endeavor to steal? The Skycoin project is structured in a really good way, for safety and continuity. --- One of the reasons it is also so difficult to do Skycoin distribution is because of the way the coins are locked and that it requires unanimous consent and is a shared secret protocol. It guarantees the remainder of coins will never be dumped, but it makes distribution difficult because it requires unanimous consent to the distribution plan. We have an agreement now, to get to 30% distribution and then to time lock the rest of the coins with a maximum distribution of 5% per year, meaning a distribution over at least 14 years. Going from 10% to 30% will be through node incentives and may take atleast five years, based upon userbase growth and how quickly a physical network can be built out. Everyone agrees the rate of monetary inflation cannot be allowed to exceed the rate of user-base growth (in order to maximize the price per coin). So people are still fighting about that. |

Too many things to list.
- New website
- New wallet build

- Sky messenger done (its skycoin's TOX like messanger and used internally for machine to machine communication), github.com/skycoin/net
- ICO in two days for 1% of Skycoin, 1 million coins, 500 SKY/BTC
- Skycoin now has an ETH and BTC order book on C2CX
- C2CX is adding crypto only trading accounts that have less KYC requirements for deposits/withdrawls
- skycoin mobile wallet is done, I do not know the github yet
- skycoin networking framework and factories are done github.com/skycoin/net
- genetic algorithms for polynomial fitting are done in CX github.com/skycoin/cx . This is a major milestone for the CX programming language
- the meshnet has been refactored so the Skywire node connects to the command server over sky-messanger instead of TCP
- the Skycoin wallet is being rewritten from scratch (will be upgraded from angular 2.0 to angular 4.0)
- BBS has been upgraded from angular 2.0 to angular 4.0
- Skycoin now has an official logo, color schemes and branding guide

This is probably 50% of the things since the last update, but is all I can remember right now.
Sky Ledger:
Also, people are starting to ask questions about Skyledger, which we have not talked about at all.
Skyledger is Skycoin's ERC20 standard, for corporations to create coins (like Suncoin, Shellcoin, Aydrand Coin, etc) on the Skycoin platform (except that each coin is on its own blockchain and we do not believe in putting every token on a single blockchain like Ethereum does). Skyledger is sort of like Skycoin's Bancor. There are already so many coins in development on the platform, that I cannot keep track of them and have no idea what they are for.
We have a blockchain bubble going on right now and we have been asked by a small government if we can put their currency on the blockchain and people are talking about blockchain traded real estate and a lot of very large companies are doing pilots on every blockchain platform they can get into.
One of the Skyledger coins is going to be coin for a physical infrastructure investment fund, investing in solar power projects. The company has a diffraction grating film to increase power generation per meter of solar panel by 3x. So will see what they do with this.
The idea behind Skyledger is there will be millions or hundreds of millions of cryto assets in the future and that moving these assets through Skycoin, we can increase the liquidity of Skycoin (by automatically having exchange pairs against Skycoin for each of the Sky-ledger coins).
The most important thing, is that since these coins and experiments are on separate blockchains (unlike Ethereum ERC20 tokens), they will not slow down or bloat the Skycoin blockchain. We believe that micro-blockchains and "personal blockchains" are the future. We do not believe in putting all the data in the world, onto one blockchain Ethereum style, because of the problems it causes.
However we cannot guarantee the quality of the coins or control what people are doing with them. Hopefully there will eventually be a few good coins with large market caps and real economic activity in there.
Sky-ledger is also bringing in a lot of corporate clients, that are helping fund development and the Skycoin Consortium is expanding rapidly.
However, Sky-ledger is separate from Skycoin and the Skycoin Project is much larger and more expansive than any of the other coins. And is more complex and has more components and pieces of infrastructure.
Skycoin is part of the Skycoin Project including CXO and Skywire, then the Sky-Ledger coins run on top of CXO, inside of the network created and powered by Skycoin+CXO+Skywire+Hardware. So these coins will indirectly drive the Skycoin price up, but mostly will create liquidity and network activity.

Its very confusing and complex. There are multiple overlapping groups and none of them are doing it for the money. We have group using Skycoin to fund their meshnet dream. We have group using Skycoin to fund their hardware projects. We have group using Skycoin to fund related immutable data structure research (urbit stuff and stuff used in consensus) We have small group using Skycoin for consensus research and to do a next generation consensus algorithm (see the white papers) We have multiple cipher punk groups working on different thing they want. We have group doing fundamental programming language research and CX. Who just happen to be genetic algorithm and multi-agent simulation people. So the first thing that was implemented on this was genetic algorithm and linear genetic programming and Cartesian genetic algorithms. We have group doing decentralized social media and pilot applications on the immutable data structure libraries (which is what they build the libraries for). They are building it, because they know it can be done, therefore it must be done. It feels a lot like the community did in the early days of Bitcoin and Ethereum. |

IMHO- An ICO offers the advantage of - 1) anonymity, and 2) acquiring large bulks of coins. Hence it is more favorable by whales (I.e. no need to identity to the exchange, no restrictions or limits on coin withdrawn from exchanges, not needing to put trust in 3rd party). Another important aspect of ICO is all the classical short-term flippers who buy in ICOs and dump right after to secure gains. Assuming my assessment is proven correct and this ICO will be pursued by whales, AND at higher prices, then there probably will be no flippers' dumping. On one hand this is good because you have strong long-term hands. But on the other hand, it means very low trading volume and liquidity. Bottom line - an ICO is not an investment decision. It is a distribution mechanism. If you can buy cheaper, and want to own SKY - buy cheaper. |

With advancements in Deep Learning AI based on machine learning developed by the European Commision, how will skycoin avoid integration into Googles SkyCloud once it is fully developed? The reason I ask is Deep Learning is spreading like a cancer among open source software developers and will soon infect all major platforms not just the giants like Microsoft. At some point skycoin would need to develop its own user based software to stay fully decentralized. With the integration of intelligence programs such as stellar winds, prism and weeping angel data collection through ISP, social media providers, search engines etc.. im not sure governments will allow a fully decentralized internet to gain traction. |
