question about the "market BTC->USD" conversion for WPN tournaments... If I cash in a tournament I play, do I get the price when the tournament started or when I bust/win? (seeing as late reg. is ridiculously long on many) Any information is appreciated.
I think it would have to be the price when you get paid. Suppose you buy in to a big tournament for $500 and end up winning $100k. WPN are going to pay betcoin in US dollars, not Bitcoin, and so betcoin are going to have to buy $100k worth of Bitcoin on an exchange. What if the price of Bitcoin had doubled since you bought in to the tournament? They're going to have to spend $200k to get you $100k worth of BTC at your buy-in price. It's not like they're going to buy the $100k worth when you buy in, just in case you win. Because if you don't, and the price of Bitcoin halves while you're playing, they've lost $50k on the deal. I don't know though - maybe they're happy to eat such losses. I think you get the same conversion rate...I don't think the btc/usd rate changes that often here that it would change within the span of a tournament. wwwin, though it is possible that this could happen, you get the real time value of the btc at the current btc/usd rate. The main issue arises if you buyin to a tournament in advance let's say 2 weeks into the million and then there is some fluctuation. But in this situation the buyin amount is a fixed number and that number is refunded when you unregister. We hope this makes sense and thank you for the responses.

Why do you keep telling me (and others) that I am welcome back and that you want to give me bonuses and answer my questions...then you just ignore me and leave account banned/ip blocked. We would like to provide a bonus for you to come back in and enjoy the great community, but I guess we need to answer some questions you have?

A scam? One thing we always see is the word scam being used very freely here at Bitcointalk. We can't control if some bitcointalk members think other bitcointalk members are trolling or not. You are addressing a player on our website and Betcoin at the same time with these comments and the player certainly doesn't speak for Betcoin.
Dooglus, we have close to 1,000 players daily on Betcoin, over 100 tickets and 50-100 live chat customer support tickets daily. Our parent company and owners overlap with BetCris and the WPN and have been in business over 16 years. Customer service can always be improved and will continue to be improved, but we are surprised by your use of the word scam.
With that said, we are reviewing your particular ticket in detail still and as stated would have the resolution in full by Monday at the latest. On another note, the traffic and player volume has increased to its highest point over the last 2 weeks, which we are very happy to report.
" Our parent company and owners overlap with BetCris...". Could you please elaborate on this. What is your parent company's name? How do the owners overlap with BetCris? BetCris is an established and honorable brand. But " Our parent company and owners overlap with BetCris..." is a vague statement that could be anything. Or nothing, as I could state I overlap with PinnacleSports. What do you mean by "overlap"? If I was in conversation with one of the principals of BetCris, would that person vouch for your company? Or does this "overlap" only mean you rent offices and internet lines from them, or something similar? Bump. " " Our parent company and owners overlap with BetCris...". Throwing around an established honorable company's name as if they have a meaningful connection/business relationship with Betcoin is fine - if it's true. If it's not true, it's at best deceptive, and indicates that statements made by Betcoin are purposely misleading and not to be trusted.. So I'd appreciate it if you would clarify and answer my questions above.

why would you want to come back if you continue to post that Betcoin is dishonest? I don't. I never said I did. I've barely played since mid october after I provided evidence that I was not receiving the rakeback I was entitled to. You've ignored the issue ever since (other than Betcoin William fucking with me) Why would you want to play on a dishonest website? Well, there are reasons to play on a dishonest site. (like fast withdraws, low rake and limited alternatives) This is why I played on Betcoin as long as I did, and it's why some regulars have stuck around. Also, your spam on Betcoin, in the forums, in player chat was excessive and distracting taking away from our focus of continuing to build a better community for our great players. When you choose to ignore me, you leave me only two options. A -Give up asking and go away B- Repeat myself, maybe a little "louder" I will continue to choose the second option. Here are a couple examples of what I consider spam: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=281850.msg13123978#msg13123978https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=386266.msg13126816#msg13126816we know you really don't think Betcoin is dishonesty and actually enjoy the Betcoin community and playing at Betcoin, your desire to comeback and your passionate posts show that. Ummm, yeah. I do think you guys run things very dishonestly. Remember this lie? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=386266.msg13028361#msg13028361Do not confuse my passion for poker with passion for your dishonest site. Anyway, as soon as you are able to answer the one question above about telling me and others I'm welcome back while I'm still banned - we can move on to another question. If the only way you will respond is one single simple thought at a time, that's fine. Edit: GoGo has an excellent question as well. I'm hoping this isn't overwhelming having two questions to answer though. Remember, they are questions...not spam.

It would be much better if Betcoin had one thread to include poker/sports/casino as almost all the other gambling companies at this forum do, instead of separate threads for each, as a problem in one of these divisions could be a problem for all.
Sportsbook problems reported also. This post - as far as I can tell - has been deleted from Betcoin's sports thread (can someone tell me how I can tell if a thread is moderated or not?):

Ignore Re: BetcoinSports.com Betcoin.ag-LIVE-Football Soccer eSports-#1 Casino Poker Sports Today at 06:54:33 AM #1212 Long time player at Betcoin on the sportsbook, and I have always recommended them, however given some recent events, I would avoid the Sports book. They are still highly reputable, but they are experiencing some issues that have been very cumbersome for anyone betting sports there.
They are still very good at quick withdrawals, but their Sportsbook has been on a steady decline, all while they are "improving it". I imagine it's growing pains, but just some recent problems:
- Very slow grading of bets - 1pm NFL games not paid until after 4pm games end in most cases this season - Constant glitches in book, just this past Sunday, bets all stated that they were not accepted, but they actually were. Many people placed duplicate bets due to this error - This past Sunday the NFL bets were graded as wins, but money appeared in accounts, and then disappeared from accounts (impacted all customers) - On same day with glitch and disappearing money, made bets that came up with error (similar to errors when bets were accepted) and after trying to make bet 5 times (I have full record from their site), the amount I bet disappeared from my account, so I assumed it was bet. Checked my log, and nothing was there. Immediately before games begun, sent a support ticket asking to make sure they honored the bet, they did not get back for hours, and ultimately they did not honor the bet, even though I asked multiple times prior to games beginning, and I did not have my balance available in my account anymore due to their issues
Approximately 30+ hours later they finally did return the entire proper balance, minus honoring the bet that ultimately won. So, to summarize of late:
- Frequent glitches / problems with betting site - Slow grading of bets - Diminishing level of customer service (I have had them honor bets before that were put through support tickets when the book had issues, but they would not this time, even after not making funds available in accounts for winning bets for 30+ hours)
I'm done with them for now until they get their act together, I am primarily just an NFL season bettor, and it's not worth the hassle when I can't put bets down that I want to play without issues."

You seemed to post 5 spam/bump posts, and have answer a question from a fan, but seemed to have overlooked a couple of more important questions. Here they are: " " Our parent company and owners overlap with BetCris...".

There is excellent value on this tournament with only a 10+1 mbtc buyin. Join our growing player base that continues to provide more and more opportunities everyday to earn life changing bitcoin! Great to see this tournament will continue. Is OshiMike still involved and updating the leaderboard anytime soon? Where can we see the updated leaderboard and standings? Any bounties this week? OishiMike is still involved and should be updating the leaderboard shortly. We certainly apologize for any delay and look forward to announcing the bounties by Friday. Please note the tournament is on Saturday this week. Why did you change the schedule?? In this tourney official thread it was moved to Sunday (after its first edition held on Saturday) after talking about it and general consensus was for Sundays: now you moved tourney back to Saturday but can't find any discussion about it May I know why you took this (bad in my opinion) decision?
