Yes. I'm trying to ask directly, and also seek permission for this kind of thing. It's much better if it's site supported rather than trying to scrape the data from the screen (it can be done) or packet sniffing.

If x supplies the network data, that would be better. While I haven't looked at it, this kind of data should somehow be encrypted, if it isn't already.

I'm counting on Seals not being like Stars and being "friendlier" with their poker players. It's not like I can see what the other players are holding.

Dabs hit me up micon@sealswithclubs.eu / let me forward you to some boys that may be able to help.

Anther reason why many folks distaste having to wait up to a day to get paid as the chance of a compromise. I keep turning this particular wheel with ya Micon but not sure how far it if any at all for convincing to do such. If anything surely members who have been depositing and withdrawing since the beginning should have the auto pay option but assume this would require more technical work that is all tied up from the new proprietary software getting built. (PS are payouts a tad delayed today?)

Right now we don't want any money going out automatically. Everything gets human eyes on it.

Later it may be possible to have people checking 24 hours per day for near instant cashouts.

Cashouts are within 12 hours, including today.

I'm only asking for what you, as the player, can already see. Your hole or pocket cards, and the flop, turn, river. I only see others if it goes to a show down. I think it's better to ask nicely, because as it is, anyone can just scrape and/or packet sniff.

My guess is this is all manual, and this is all cold storage. No chance of getting compromised.

Coming from the traditional sites, even pre-Black Friday, cashouts in under 12 hours seems instant to me.

And I'm actually glad you process them manually.  That makes me feel better about the safety of both my account and the site as a whole.

he is simply looking for his personal hole card info, i.e. an easy way to read his hand into some program he will build - just his 2 hole cards that he can see on his screen - i.e. instead of typing them into his program each time.  I don't find anything wrong with this morally, but it looks like it's tough to do / we can't help him do it anyway.   Like Freemo said up there the info is out there, you have access to it, it will up to a coder if they want to do anything with it, as we don't have any user-api or something.  Although that would be cool.

The only problem with an open API for a poker site is that it makes it a lot easier for bad guys to write malware.  Bots are one thing, but so are programs to make collusion software really easy, i.e. rather than having to exchange it on some third-party chat program, they can actually write their own client to display each other's hole cards in real time.

Not sure how much of an issue this is, as it only makes more convenient what is already entirely possible to do without too much difficulty, i.e. sharing hole cards, and I frankly haven't seen many bots (yet) worth being concerned with outside of a few limited sets of circumstances.

They have anti-collusion measures, although the perfect scam would not be obvious. Still ... every poker site has that problem.

There is even a poker bot competition somewhere, where the only players are bots. Universities join with their team of poker programming nerds. It's similar to chess computers playing vs each other.

But poker bots lack the human factor. They don't know how to psychologize or interact with people, they can't bluff (maybe randomly?) and if you involve real money, they stand a chance of being discovered by real human players and taken advantage of, unless the bot plays extremely tight.

The only advantage of bots? They don't eat or sleep.

Disadvantage? They might fold everything except AA. dunno. depends on the logic.

We all know what "Prohibition" does.

And ... I have 6 chips now. If you think I'm a threat ... you've got issues.

Didn't think it was cool to post outstanding loans here, but here are mine:

DOOM - 3.6 BTCs - hasn't been on Seal for many months

donkwins - In Romania and apparently can't find a way to buy bitcoins, and I don't want to give him info to send me a wire transfer...

otown420 - 1.2 BTCs - been several months

itai3856 - 0.26 BTCs - been several months

upay4mytreez - 3.3 BTCs  - been several months

So you can see why I shut down my loan business... once these people pay me back, I can open up again...

Loan sharking is tough work... and not very rewarding...

EDIT: removed loans that were paid (sorry if this post caused you any grief)

I don't believe any of those people regularly refer to their "rating" on SwC though like KoS did.

Fair enough.  I never dealt with KoS, but I'm guessing life got in the way and he'll be back.  You may need to wait a little while, but I'm guessing he'll be back.

Time will tell...

I have. He's not been on SwC in a long time. He's not been on IRC in a long time and he hasn't been on the forum.

Sure - maybe he has real life stuff. I'm happy to remove any negative feedback when he pays up.

Speaking of disconnects and crashes seals should really be commended for the work it has done to keep the site up and relatively crash and disconnect free since moving servers. There are  a couple of bigger sites who can't fix their problems despite having more financial resources then seals. Bovada and blackchip (winningpoker network).

What a scumbag list of players who owe money tossupking, upay4mytrees etc. Everyone said King of Sports was going to do a scam looks like they were right.  Kilo put up a sick list of debts shame a few degens had to ruin it for the honest reputable players.

So many other scumbag degen deadbeats who scam on seals like mathkid who took bets and then gambled away bets he was holding in escrow . I still see him playing ring games along with tossup who I see during the krillrolls.
