We (players) are fine.  Thanks for keeping us updated and we will be back!

The web in general, and especially BTC-related operations, I just EXPECT that things are not always going to be available.

We are getting closer, but it will likely still be over 6 hours.

Have you considered establishing some kind of cartel of BTC gambling sites (or BTC sites in general)?  It seems like DDoS is going to continue to be a huge issue, and considering the high cost of mitigation, maybe you should try to pool resources?

It may be that it would be more cost-effective to establish some kind of in-house DDoS mitigation services within the BTC community than just paying these very high-priced commercial services most of your profits just to stay in existence.

There are a lot of smart people in the BTC community.

There may also be some advantage in pooling resources to track down this particular DDoS piece of shit, because it seems to be the same person/entity.  A very public revenge could be a salutary lesson to others considering the same thing.

Cloud flare is also a shit service that has constant issues. Any respectable host would have figured this out by now and had you back up.

Not necessarily, it really all depends on the severity of the attack.

im pretty sure the way cloud flare works isn't really helpful for running the protocols they are running, and even then it isn't hard to get around cloud flare >.<

I deal with people all day who come to us because their site is down and I see they are using cloudflare and can only say "if you had your DNS pointed to us you'd be back up by now".

Cloudflare is great.  It will protect you against anything.  Except an actual DDoS, then it's not worth shit.

Seals Team, great work on this. I'm sure it's been a couple of days/nights of pulling your hair out. I am fiendin' and missing the Saturday Guarantee, but I can live another day (or few hours, as the case may be).

I saw in another thread that BTContilt.com has a flashy website up and running. What's the deal there? The other thread talked about being scammed, in this thread somebody mentioned they shut down after a really bad DDoS attack - were they legit, or a shitty flash in the pan Seals competitor?

It would appear they are no longer working with cloudflare as now its just a dead link.

1)  Sorry for how long this is taking

2)  The boys continue work on the nerdery

3)  No major snags

4)  Things are still being uploaded, and as I understand it that process is most of the way complete but still at least an hr+ worth of uploading left to do

5)  upon kicking around the o/u of 4 hours, a member of ST6 said "we are going to beat that"

Getting it done right is far more important than getting it done quickly.

Especially if the two are incompatible.
