I didn't mean it to be a reference to anything.  I was serious.

Sorry I thought you were making a joke. Yeah provenance works but it's not a very common word. I think for the moment I will stick with taint.

I need a way to exclude one specific adress in my wallet to NOT EVER be used as a change back / selfreferrential address.

You could archive it? Then it will never be used to spend or for change.

Whenever I go to send money-->custom--> choose wallet etc. when I click on "review transaction" the whole screen gets dark and the wallet freezes up. I can hit the "back" button on the browser, but that takes me out of the wallet and I have to log in again from there.

Thank you for the bug report. This issue with opera should now be fixed (refresh you page a few times). Thank you for the donation.

Some new features for advanced users

On the Receive Coins page:

Group Addresses group by Taint.

Address which can be linked together by taint are shown in the same groups. "Clean" addresses are shown in separate groups. Similar to the new coincontrol features that will be available in the mainline 0.7 release:

Chord Diagrams

View the linkages between your addresses. This is a screenshot of my test wallet, as you can see all addresses are linked apart from 136MHjWp61tZrrsYhdein22uuNchw7kDjr which is an unrelated watch only address.

Hover over an address label to show only those links:

Other Stuff

* Two factor authentication reset form
* You can now select multiple address in the custom send form.
* Change from transactions will now never be returned to an address which wasn't used as an input unless specifically chosen using the custom tx form.
* Reached over $5m total transacted.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Amazing! That took what..about 2 hours? Thanks so much for your work, not just on this bug but on a really great all around wallet interface. More donation money on the way...2.12 BTC ("BTC" = water's Boiling Temperature in Centigrade)

I think I will now go retest Opera's sending abilities.  Grin

Heh ... don't look now but SatoshiDICE just got even easier to use:

From your Blockchain.info wallet, click Send Money, then on the left is "Games - Satoshi Dice".

The balance will update with your win or loss, or you can click Transactions.  It will update in real-time.

I've refreshed & re-logged in to my wallet but can't see any games link on the Send Money page, just this as before...

Feature request: sending to P2SH-style addresses.

I've added it to the TDOD link. I'm not sure why they are not working already.

You *seriously* rock.  When I bet my BTC from father's day some of it is going your way!

Much appreciated Smiley

Sometimes the HTML5 offline cache is a Pain in the arse to clear. Keep refreshing and eventually it updates.

SMS Two Factor Authentication now available

Each wallet is limited to 10 SMS's per day and they are only 1p each. A paid service will be coming sometime next week, but all current features will remain free.

Nice!

On a related note, since the URL in the text acts as a "bearer code", and the data in SMS texts are accessible by many on the trip from sender (Blockchain.info) to recipient (edge device), then likely thefts of funds will start occurring, at some point, before the recipients get a chance to redeem (claim) the funds.  I posted on the topic here:

The MB metric for the blockchain chart appears off.

Another chart was created here:

Yes this is a concern and why transactions are limit to 10 BTC maximum. I don't consider it a genuine scalable solution for bitcoin transactions it is more of a gimmick to introduce new people to bitcoin. I could add password protection or a secret question but at that point you might as well just exchange bitcoin addresses. For small transactions the likelihood of a network provider defrauding you is probably pretty slim.

The MB metric for the blockchain chart appears off.

I think we are recording differently. the value shown on blockchain.info is the serialised network size, not the disk size. There maybe something amiss though as if I run the query:

Quote
select SUM(size) from bitcoin_tx

it reports 1,880 GB which is lower than the charted valued (and that doesn't include block headers).

I am getting an "invalid to address" error whenever I try to send bitcoins to a new address.  Addresses that have received bitcoins go through fine.

I have tried using addresses from different wallet clients and different computers and also one sent to me from someone else but I still get the same result.
