I did it mostly because I thought it'd be fun (and it was. ) In among all the bitcoin-grabbing anger on this forum, posts like this are why I love the Bitcoin community Amazing job, Stefan. I feel almost petty saying this after all that, but is the "Local Currency" option broken on the web wallet? I was expecting it to change the USD amount (e.g. to GBP) in the top-right, and the converted amount reported when sending money, but they seem stuck as USD whatever "Local Currency" is set to.

I suggest to replace this blue "i" icon on the left of addresses with a drop-down menu called "actions" on the far right of this table. this table contains those features that are listed when you click on the "i". Then, you can obviously scrap the "archive" icon on the right, too.
It is much cleaner like this. Thank you for the suggestion. Second, I suggest a new top-level page right next to "import / export", called "utilities" or something like that. That's the perfect place for this "verify" feature and probably some others.
I don't really want to add another tab button as the menu doesn't wrap well on smaller screens. Ideally I'd like to move the Import / Export button somewhere else. Several people who have recently installed the mobile app on the iphone have not been able to get it to send the confirmation code to their email.
This should be fixed now, thanks Roger. I feel almost petty saying this after all that, but is the "Local Currency" option broken on the web wallet? If you click the BTC amount in the top right it should alternate between your local currency and btc.

There is something wrong with my wallet. I tried to make a payment with the android blockchain wallet; after bugging me 15x that I had to supply private keys for my watch-only addresses, it told me my balance was insufficient. Now thats possible, most of the addresses in that wallet are "watch only" but I was fairly certain I had sufficient BTC in the blockchain wallet with private keys to make that payment. Its hard to tell them apart though, so I just paid it with the satoshi client. Now, the android wallet is showing my balance as too low, it seems to have subtracted my last payment twice (its only sent once according to the blockchain), while the online web wallet is showing too high a balance, as if I didnt make that payment. Im getting confused here. I get this error when I try to reload on the webpage: and charts arent working. edit: I tried on a different PC, and the online wallet is working fine, showing the correct balance and the transaction I did only once. Both PCs using firefox and ubuntu, the first PC has the blockchain plugin installed. android wallet is correct now too.

I've checked my addresses on the blockchain and everything looks ok - in fact even the site owner couldn't access these bitcoins. It's the safest online wallet there is. Assuming you backed it up then you still have access to these bitcoins even if the site is down. You can import the wallet directly into multibit if necessary - http://multibit.org/index.htmlThough I suspect it will be up and running again soon.

Apologies everyone, the database crashed while I was asleep.
With Ndb cluster your supposed to be able to lose one or more data nodes and the database continues running however as we only have 2 servers HA doesn't function properly (If one node crashes the other dies as well). On Friday the Site will be moving over to a new 4 server cluster which should made it much more resilient to crashes. The new server is 32 cores and 96GB RAM in total so the site should get a nice speedup as well.

The wallet should be the same set of keys. I think blockchain wallet automatically updates to dropbox if you add a new address. If you lose your house keys, but made a copy 2 years ago they will still open the door. The contents of your house may have changed in that time but the key will still work.

There is something wrong with my wallet.
I fixed it by clearing the application cache in firefox. In case anyone else has similar issues: edit>preferences> advanced > network > offline web content > clear now

+1 The same problem same here +1 I'm having this problem too today. Not yesterday. I was like moving some addresses to blockchain.info. But every time I used, it has any problem. So, I think I'm not going to move my addresses... :-(

labeling works for me (at least, yesterday) ....
now i have another problem. this two-way authentication doesn't work. i had it enabled for email months ago and everytime i log in, it asked me the password. since 2 days ago, i only asks me once (if at all) and somehow remembers me. i'm ok with that if it is just for half an hour, but this additional safeguard is disabled for quite a time now. also, when i explicitly press the logout button at the top right, i expect that the cookie that remembers me is reset. (if there is a cookie remembering that i had a 2way auth some time ago)

the new server sound veeery nice!
Its a bit of a beast https://twitter.com/#!/blockchain/media/slideshow?url=pic.twitter.com%2FnOiIyvNL (Looks like one server but it is actually 4 nodes in one chassis). Also being installed on Friday is a dedicated cisco ASA security firewall. "Actions - > Label Address" is not working for me. When i click this option, nothing happens. All other actions work normally, though.

Your right it does remember that you have authenticated recently in session data. How long this is saved depends on the authentication type. Yubikey & Google Authenticator saved for 24 minutes Email saved for 12 hours SMS saved for 24 hours When you press the logout button now the session cookie will be cleared and you will be required to authenticate again immediately. -------------- API page revised - https://blockchain.info/api. New call to list addresses and labels available in the My Wallet API.

Bitcoind Compatiable JSON RPC (My Wallet Account Required)
Blockchain.info is able to function as a bitcoind RPC server for merchants to interact with their My Wallet Account. i am thinking about using your RPC service instead of my own bitcoind server. its free now. do you plan on charging something for this service in the near future? and how reliable is it? as good as the whole website? i cant believe to get this great service for free
