I have a wallet with blockchain.info. I never deposited any coins into it before, but once I got my new smartphone I decided to install the blockchain app because the two can sync. Anyways, I got them synced and deposited a couple of coins. It seemed like they synced okay. The coins were visible both in the droid app as well as on my PC. But I went to my PC wallet on blockchain.info today and the coins are not there. They are still there on my droid though. Blockchain.info seems buggy to me. What gives?

This problem is still being experienced by new users of the iphone app.
I'll fix this in the next update. I made a fork/addition to bitaddress.org that allows easy printing of blockchain.info wallet exports. If this is interesting/useful to you then you can read more here:
Awesome, thanks. Do you mind if I add a link to it in the documentation? how can i unlabel an address? i didn't find a function.
This isn't possible at present. You could re-label it ____ or something. i have another 150 privkeys to import. can i just upcutnpaste them somewhere?
You should be able to copy and paste private keys of almost any format into the import backup text area as long as they are space separated (including vanitygen). Could you post or pm me your bitcoin address(s) and I can try and investigate. What browser and operating system are you using?

Awesome, thanks. Do you mind if I add a link to it in the documentation? Not exactly, I more or less put the live version up for people too lazy to use github. Right now it is just hosted off of my drop box, which isn't really the most secure. Also I don't really want an unbranded fork of bit address.org, I would prefer my changes get merged into master. Assuming that can not happen I will arrange for a more permenant hosting solution. obviously feel free to link to my github page. All that being said if your paper export printed the keys in sipa/wif then it would really make this un-needed, unless you like the format of bit address.

Yes I've been meaning to change this for a while. The detection of different private key formats si much better now so there isn't any reason to leave them in base58. Receive Payment API documentation uphttps://blockchain.info/api/api_receiveKey Points * No Sign Up * We don't hold any funds * Full integration possible (Try the javascript demo buttons). * Free (Apart from anonymous transactions which include a 1.5% fee)

If the above is true, how are you able to send email / SMS updates each time a payment is sent or received from a particular Bitcoin address inside a My Wallet? It does seem that My Wallet does know each user's public keys. Can you elaborate? Thanks!

Oops. That page runs a shell script which prints the memory usage of bitcoind. With the move to the new server each bitcoind runs in an isolated VM so its now throwing an error. With alerts are enabled the sever does record a wallet public keys. It is explained a further on: https://blockchain.info/wallet/anonymity

Add Notes To TransactionsOn the custom send form there is now the option of adding a short note to a transaction. These notes are public and will be visible on transaction and address pages. e.g. I sent a note to https://blockchain.info/address/13qDREbiLkLgZjrrPYWGuAsRmC9mHE7Bu1In My Wallet notes can be viewed by hovering over the note icon: Option To Set Automatic Fee PolicyRevised Welcome Page------- * Option to never remember two factor login can now be found in security. * Switched to secure (wss://) websocket. With fallback to old unencrypted websocket. * Any problems clear your browsers cache.

Got "TypeError: Object 31 has no method 'abs'" on sending (not related to transaction notes) 3 different times, might be an error while gathering inputs. Once it pops up it doesn't allow to send given amount anywhere. I'd suggest not using blockchain.info until fixed. Edit: not only me (though I got object 31 not 51 and don't have any rejected transactions). I had returned bitcoin transaction on my blockchain wallet, I guess the fee was insufficient and now when I try to send those funds I see " TypeError: Object 51 has no method 'abs' " Has anybody ever had this error with blockchain?

This should be fixed now. The error was due to mistakenly adding a BigInteger and regular integer together e.g. BigInteger.valueOf(1000) + 1 for advertising BTC addresses and services ?
Not really, more for just identifying the source of a transaction. For example Joric has a donation link in his sig. If I send him a payment he might not know where it has come from, Instead of PMing him or something I can just add a note note to the transaction e.g.

Oh god! Isn't it a way too public? I'd restrict it for logged users only. The bug with no method 'abs' seems gone.

The bug with no method 'abs' seems gone. i do also think this is too public. for example i can send an amount to an btc address and write some totally different in the note maybe to influence someone. as receiver do i have the option to delete the info?

I'm pretty sure this isn't in the blockchain but just something that blockchain.info provides internally in it's database. If so, I would tend to think it's better to only show the message to a user when the address is also in their wallet. Obviously no one should be putting non-public info in the message but it does also seem a bit too "visible" if it shows up on the normal public listings. IMO anyway. And someone is bound to foolishly put something private in there eventually without realizing it's very public.
