I'm done answering to stupid newbies on this thread.
All I can say is, the halving isnt changed very verys soon, this coin is dead.
It won't, so GET OUT NOW !!!! Also, you didn't answer to anything, you just claimed to be a god because you had 112 activity and claimed that we were newbies. Would you like to make a bet, idiot? I'll get an escrow. Bet is 5 bitcoin. I'll be that Vertcoin's price hits .0001 within the next 3 weeks. It's complete fucking imbeciles like you WHaze, that make coins die. Open your mind, and youll that 20,000 vertcoin getting dumped on the exchanges everyday is whats causing the price to drop faster than a stone. Man i'm begining to think you can't even read..... As I said before, i do think we have a problem and I know the price is dropping. All i'm saying being : i'm not convinced that the amount of new mined coins is causing the price drop and i'm not convinced that halving the block reward will help. LEARN TO READ ! Also, how halving the block reward will reduce the number of coins being dumped?  There will be less coins but according to you they'll be worth more ! So it would be the same. Like I said before, your logic is flawed. Once again, the price is not driven by the block reward but by the buyers and sellers. Dude really? Manipulating the price isn't a good thing, it may work for a while but not for long and people will lose faith in the coin. Also, if the halving increase the price, less coins will be sold but we will need a higher buy pressure to buy those coins. IMO it would be exactly the same ! Let's try to dumb it up a bit: -20 000 new coins are mined every day (let's assume they are dumped), if the coin is at 1$, the buy pressure must be at least 20 000$ if we halve the block reward (50%) and it leads to an increase of the price -10 000 new coins are mined every day (let's assume they are dumped), if the coin is at 2$, the buy pressure must be at least 20 000$ ! exactly the same ! |

Multipools will be still dumping for them price doesn't matter. Many people want to mine as many BTC as they can before "next big pump". And they will be doing it even if electricity cost is higher then reward.
There is only one option which doesn't require changing subsidy and it require getting Vertcoin on BTC-e and we know it won't happend.

That is what it was meant for! The development team are over there and is easier for you to communicate with them, rather than going back and forth with members. i have an idea how to increase buy orders in (or save) VTC. you can trade every coin in exchanges for BTC or in some exchanges for LTC. so we have 2 options. a new exchange where you can trade other cryptos for ONLY VTC or separate market with primary coin VTC in an existing exchange. at the start it could be any shitcoin which is not traded anywhere for VTC and later adding another cryptos. it is just an idea  |
