Would it be possible to design a scrypt asic so that running n units in parallel gives script-n? Granted some software support from the miner app would be needed too. That way, changing n would not completely obsolete the hardware.
Also I see n doubling each time in the schedule, is n=3072 etc not possible?

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

it seems like it will just adjust the algo to something like x11, but does it change the memory hardness schedule?
It's not clear if vert is going to become multi-algo (lyra2 and lyra2RE) or one or the other or what, tbh... I hope: only lyra2RE (just to avoid unnecessary confusion) |

@ noobtrader yes saw this too and was going to ask the devs same question Is there a place for VTC in the SuperNet. Paper here: http://209.126.70.170/SuperNET.pdfI am still trying to get my head around it - but its very interesting! Quite ground-breaking ideas IMO |

Looking forward to the new algo. it's the #1 reason I'm holding on to my gpu farm.
My farm is idle for 1 month now and waiting for winter, so the house heating expense reduction can even out the losses on the electricity. How the algo change will change the temps on gpus? |

The new algo is supposes to use less ressources on the GPUs so less heat and less stressful. We'll have to wait and see when they try the implementation on monocle. |

Another new project that showed up on reddit but hasn't made it's way over here yet: http://vertvpn.pw/ A vpn service that accepts vert for a lifetime ("lifetime") use of their vpn service. Doesn't seem to be operational yet, but the dev has contact info on the linked website and at /r/vertcoin over on reddit. |
