I notice that the OP mentions retargeting every block, but from my PoV the difficulty is changing every 1440 blocks.

In addition, the last 100 blocks have taken over 10 days to be minted...

So I am guessing that adding gravity well retargeting has caused a hard fork, and I'm stuck on a chain with older clients, but I can't see mention of any urgent updates in the OP.

Am I missing something?

The update was a couple of weeks ago now (i believe). The thread title had a notice in it RE mandatory update & the top of the main thread had big red letters for a ~week stating there was a mandatory update, then i left a smaller notice for a little while after but it has recently been removed. We also noted pools that hadn't updated, removed them from the pools list and re notified pool admins we could get hold of.  Please update Smiley

I'm wondering, how stupid people can be. Pengiun coin is having a hashrate of 4.7Gh/s, now as a small miner you cannot mine any coins. Same story with Saturncoin, it had 3Gh/s on the first day, and now it dropped to 600Mh/s. So wondering from where is all those hashrate coming from? I'm sure that they didn't bought 1000 new Radeon AMD cards to mine Pengiun. There are so many coins and the hashrates from older coins really have problems to stay high. Look at Lottocoin, unbelievable in fact... But no complains when people move away from KDC, we will earn more coins, so they can mine Pengiun, and other coins Smiley

I think you should reconsider keeping notice of a hard fork in the OP indefinitely. In this case the client would have continued working, and those who weren't mining would have been trying to transact, blissfully unaware that there had been a fork. It's not reasonable to expect people to sift through 250 pages of this thread "just in case"

Fair point, there is nothing about it on the first post any more. At least a wallet version number or date would have helped you.  Tongue

Dev, maybe you could make this the first altcoin wallet that can detect when a new version is available?
