I was thinking the other day what KDC would better look like if it followed this "gold rush" thing that was supposed to happen.

each block gives 1 coin/block with like a couple of random blocks in the chain giving a huge amount, that would look like a gold rush since you wouldnt know when you hit that block. The same as the goldrush, a staked claim wasnt 100% sure that it would profit and the same would go for mining this coin. You would mine it but you wouldnt be sure if you ever hit the jackpot. I would mine that coin for sure

Something like Hobbitcoin you have 1000 coins per bock + 50% of a bigger block and later in time it decrease. I'm infact looking at Hobbitcoin to mine it a little myself, and get some good people working on the guy so that it can be interesting for th future.

If halving is to be considered, it needs to be done with a dramatic reduction.  No half measures please.  20 coins per block is an acceptable start.

For those who think there will be a quick increase in price followed by a massive sale, think again. 

More likely, there will be a stabilization from the free-fall we are currently on.  The prices will stop declining until demand catches up with the excessive supply.  We should see a SLOW and Steady climb back as things progress.  But it will not be a quick pump and dump.  Then as we near the next halving we will start to have a better shot at surviving.

Once, the inflation/dilution problem is solved, THEN the Klondike community can focus and making sure the apps are released on time and advertising and getting on more exchanges.   This makes FAR FAR FAR more sense. Priorities.

Fix the death blow first (dilution.inflation), then work on increased popularity and exposure.  Once the supply problem is solved, investors will slowly, not immediately come back.  At the very least it will give KDC a decent chance to accomplish its goals.

I don't know, but the situation around Bitcoin and recent events at gox is not helping to get people into altcoins, when this situation is getting more clear out and stable then i think a lot of those fallen angels will really jump higher again.

This will give us some little run to the coin when we are getting closer to end of month, so more activity then doing block halvering every 3 months.

Let's calculate a bit.

Let's say the diff is at... 20. 1mhps will then find approx 1 block/day.
That's 10 KDC/Day
10KDC=0.02
1kdc=0.002=$1.24

This is pretty good since you want $10-12/mhps/day.

THOUGH if the diff would be let's say 70, that would be around 3kdc/mhps/day
3kdc=0.02
1kdc=0.0067=$4.15


When would we want 10KDC/block in that case? 6 months (40-5x=10  x=6)?
Would it be possible to get this diff with that low reward?

We need to advertise the coin a lot in that case.

They've been working on the gamestore and facebook wallet.
Plus they have wives, kids and jobs...

Very important that people keep on mining. We want to make it more difficult to mine KDC by lower the number of coins, but we don't want to lower it too much to not create a situation that is happening at TOPcoin.

We have now 67710 block mine (5,213,670)

Lets say:

70,000 (5,390,000) block we change the block size to 40
90,000 (6,190,000) block we change the block size to 30
110,000 (6,790,000) block we change the block size to 20
130,000 (7,190,000) block we change the block size to 15
200,000 (8,240,000) block we change the block size to 10
....
376,000 (10,000,000) KDC coins


This give miners the possibility to keep on mining, the price to adjust based on the blocks. It will not have a shock effect, and we have lowered the amount of coins by 50%
