People before where speaking about it, is it a good thing for UTC?

Sorry for my noob question

Any body actually know what full pos means? i know what pos is, but full?
It means you cannot mine any more, only POS minting.

Indeed allot of coins that go Full pos will go 10x the value because you cant mine it anymore!!
So you dont have the daily dumps from all the miners.

Next to that you will creating a higher demant for the coin! so normally FULL poss is a good thing but you never know Smiley

A few things:

1)  I highly doubt UTC is going full PoS anytime soon.  It was always the plan that it would at some point in time much later down the road after PoW ended, though.

2)  The 10x gain from PoS being "unmineable" after the initial distribution stage has long since passed.  Most PoS only coins that have a short distribution stage peak about 2 days before PoW distribution ends and then they are dumped hard.

3)  Switching a coin like this to full PoS would alienate everyone not in the community already.  If I don't have UTC, what is my incentive to buy it from you since there is no other way for me to get it?  What would differentiate you from the 50 other PoS only coins that exist now?

4)  It's the trollbox.... I don't need to elaborate.

Might I just suggest we change the word "bagholders"  (will be added to a directory where Ultracoin bagholders can look and see )

"investors" or just "holders" or maybe even "clients"?

bagholders has some very negative connotations and  bad emotional messages to some of us.

Thanks

That is up to the discretion of the shopkeeper. The business can either sell on an exchange, or keep the coins in their wallet. But to my knowledge coinpayments doesn't automatically cash out in an exchange.

I don't now why miner is showing n 15 but if you don't get any HW errors there is nothing to worry about Smiley

I worry about hashrate, miner have speed corresponding to nfactor 15 (I compared speed with YAC, this coin had nfactor 13 recently and changed to 15)

Hi all!

Long time since my last post here... but I had always an eye on UTC and I have now more UTC than ever (unfortunately cause its cheap now).

Things are moving much faster than it was predictable at UTC start, sooo much shitcoins out there and we see the BTC floating from one coin to another, I think there are not much (not enough) new BTC flowing into the Altcoin scene to keep a coin-value UP.
Rat4 leaned this lesson and started Blackcoin as a full POS coin, but now ALL other new coins doing the same...

IMHO (almost) all mineable coins got milked for buying PoS coins, one big advantage of UTC is here that it uses Scrypt-Jane/Chacha which prevents the coin being raped by multipools, but this also make it harder to find new miners. (low diff, low price)

We're at a selection stage in the coin evolution, I don't know how long PoW coins can survive without a MAJOR-super-feature or whatever gimmick.

Too much has happened since January, I think UTC has to move to full PoS, better sooner than later.
I don't know if its possible to use the full PoS with 6s Blocktime but this should be tested.

Guys, remember that the true value of a coin isn't measured in dollar value. Look at Doge Coin, it is worth a fraction of a fraction of a penny, yet hundreds of thousands of dollars are invested in it everyday. Don't lose sight of why we are in crypto. The bankers are playing a game with our money supply, and its time we abandon them. That's why the goal of nearly all crypto (with the exception of some) is primarily to be used as currency. If you had a currency that could tell time, walk your dog, make dinner and keep your wife happy, it still wouldn't be a successful currency if no one accepts it! Without acceptance, everything else is just a gimmick. Bitcoin itself is really just a plain coin, their are plenty of other cryptos that have much more to offer in terms of speed, security and features. Yet Bitcoin is favorited by all because it is the most accepted of all. Bitcoin had the luxury of being first, but in order for Ultracoin to be one of the best, and in order for an alt-coin to ensure its survival it will need a plan for long term acceptance. Simple economics 101, money is a medium of exchange, without that their is no accounting trick in the book that will make a greater return on your investment. All this talk about cutting block rewards, going full POS, etc, is all meaningless without mainstream acceptance.

Now, we all know what kind of community involvement it took to get accepted on coinpayments, the next step is to get accepted by as many vendors as we possibly can on coinpayments. Read this thread and copy and paste the message into the provided link in it just below. It will only take seconds, and this simple action could pave the way to the future, which of course involves our beloved Ultracoin.
