Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Just dropping by to let you guys know that its official: https://twitter.com/LazyCoins

You're one of the first coins we have accepted at our exchange to be traded at launch, which will probably be the biggest launch for any altcoins exchange yet. Since our announcement 7 days ago we have already nearly reached 1000 followers and 20 altcoins aceepted. We are working hard to launch beta soon. So for ETA and updates please follow us https://twitter.com/LazyCoins. Retweet and show your support!

UltraCoin will be paired with ltc, btc and doge

THANK YOU VERY MUCH , one last thing on my list to cross off

also if any one still has BTC ... too late you just missed selling high she's going doooowwwwwwnnnnnnn

If you believe the "facts".  A term I will use loosely for now. 750,000 BTC is gone out of the MT Gox coffers.  If someone else has run off with them, they are either bagholding (especially through this price correction, or they got rid of them a long time ago and are now waiting to buy many cheap coins.  In either case (strong buys or reduced supply) BTC will recover and so will all the alts. Including and especially UTC.  Hang on to your hats, grab a beer and enjoy the ride.  The only fear is fear itself.

Cheers Mates!

when CT first picked up UTC, people were discussing (in the shoutbox) if BTC had hit bottom. I had said "450 is likely and 300 is possible".  Believe I was baulked a bit for that.  Guess I'll stick there for now.

For the 750k I had a hunch there was a bunch missing and we'd find out soon.  Hard to say if these prove true for sure or not yet.  Seems like someone / some group has acquired a nice little stash of BTC.

I'm still able to login and crank out 6 votes an hour easily, just keep the website tabbed, and click whenever I have a free moment. Easy mode. We will be listed in no time.

I have been mining UTC on my simple 7950 for nearly a week now, and I have to say, I am very pleased with the results. Not just the modest amount of UTC in my wallet, but the UTC spectrum as a whole. I enjoy reading the positive posts in this thread, and despite not having a decent exchange to work my UTC into, I know that there will come a day soon, that I may have the leisure of doing so. LazyCoins exchange acceptance of UTC is a very positive step in the right direction. We're nearly a meager 5000 votes away from surpassing PND on Mintpal, and hell, the recent drop in BTC has only slightly effected the value of UTC. Your done mining UTC, you say, fine! Makes it easier on my 7950! If you're accustomed to jumping ship, you'll never make a decent profit, so just move on to the next best coin while I scale up to a 290x that's in the mail and take advantage of the low difficulty. Team UTC, just rock the ship!
