one thing..i'm concerned about being on too many exchanges...
every thing gets too spread out...little here little there..
i think it might be better if we trade in 1 exchange or concentrate it to 1 exchange
that way we can have the volume and buy support to keep the price going..
also new exchanges have too many zeros for utc price ...we need to drop few zeros
ppl are selling .00023750 now...next is .00023749
what do you guys think about the decimal place being too many?
i think CT only had up to 6 places...
I don't mind about the decimal places...I do, however, want at least 3 large exchanges trading UTC. Look at what happened with CT - great volume and nice trading tools/capability, but when it went down, the UTC community went to only trading what was mined on BF and recently MintPal...the vast majority of UTC/BTC from us miners/traders/stakeholders are stuck there.

I would hope that those with a large amount of coins would actually spread them across exchanges. Partly to mitigate risk and partly so arbitrage opportunities can be made. Clever money would be made to work. This way dumping is less worthwhile and prices can be maintained to a degree
Maybe to help here and possibly others. I can, somewhat, say that large holders aren't moving coins to begin with. Most of the coin movement being sold is relatively small, though I suppose maybe a max around 5k. I suppose this period ends up being a good buying opportunity until more things get sorted out; to restore buy support and volume. I am a bit saddened to see the price so low at the moment, but I understand traders are always looking to flip coins and make money. Most, if not all, of the "daily profit" miners are long gone; so the majority of miners would be holding I suppose. Myself included. I keep track of coins a bit, cause i'm wierd like that. I do not get any feeling of panic, loss of confidience or mass selling from what I check on. In fact, overall things seem positive on that front. Of all the coins I watch; only 2 persons have less coins than a few days ago. Now I only watch about 66% of minted coins, as of this writing; so it's somewhat representative at best. Anyway, Hopefully the liquidity issues with investors will get sorted out soon and things can be back on the road. Hodl strong UTC'ers! On a side note: think about 16hrs until N change.....

Thanks for this. Question for you - do you know what's going on with promotions/giveaways? I was out for most of the day today, but seem to remember a request for donations to be used in promotions. Can you bring us up to date?

Wonder if it will be like the one @ mcxNOW? Not working for me in FF. No comments, just a blank empty white window.

Most will leave because the low hash some dont like to see it low and need to satisfy their epeen But the diff will drop and we will get the same or maybe more coins with less hash thats how i see it anyway

It's the slick buyers that are keeping the price down. They sell 1-5 coins at a low price to panic the noobs into selling bigger quantities to them. Works most of the time.

But what if I don't mine? What's my incentive to keep my coins when the value is dropping?

Good question that only you can answer for yourself. Sell now and sit on the sidelines or hold because you believe the coin will go up when all this CT stuff is cleared and if you believe it will go up you should be buying. To quote Kenny Rogers 'you got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em.'

I guess the incentive to hold anything of value; is the perspective that it may be worth more in the future. I'm not a trader and I don't like to give trade advice; so I could not recommend what you should do.

You have four choices (at least): You can sell at market, if you think the price will keep dropping and never go back up. You can hold if you think the price will go up. You can sell at market and buy back lower to get more coins. You can sell at a price you choose, and let the market catch up to you. If everyone sells higher than market, buyers will have to pay higher prices (or not buy). I'm holding most of my coins, and selling some above market and buying lower. I believe the price will go up, especially when C-T refunds everyone's coins and money. The hardest thing to have in this business is patience. If you believe in UTC, you'll wait this out and try to make sure your position is better than before.

CoinMarketCap
39 UltraCoin $ 805,080 $ 0.14 5,718,983 UTC $ 2,418 -22.66 %
24 Hour Volume Rankings
82. UltraCoin (0.01 %) Source Pair Volume (24h) Price Volume (%) Poloniex UTC/BTC $ 1,323 $ 0.14 54.93 % Crypto RushUTC/BTC $ 1,085 $ 0.14 45.07 % Total/Avg $ 2,409 $ 0.14
Maybe this is hurting too, they haven't included the new exchanges.
Mintpal 24.530 BTC 24 hrs Volume Poloniex 2.30355995 BTC 24 hrs Volume CryptoRush 1.86573452 BTC 24 hrs Volume CoinMarket 0.00 Swisscex 0.00 BinaryFund Down CryptoTrade Down
So we are a 28.69929447 BTC = $16,358.60 USD (570 USD / 1 BTC)
Numbers speak for themselves.

I'm scrounging everything I can to make btc to provide buy support. Sinful I know but I have been trading utc in small amounts to make small profits, either utc or btc. Arbing was great yesterday between crypto-rush and mintpal. I've been concentrating on those two sites. The others are ok but seem to have stability issues. One silver lining is this is giving me time to become a much better trader. It's easy to make a killing when you throw up an 8000 ltc buy order like a whale did last nite on btc-e (I think WP1980). That's crazy talk. Now try making money when you are trading small tiny fractions of that. The more I use utc the more I understand how to move it quickly to make those trades and scoop a profit. When this, and I know it will, busts out I will be VERY GOOD at arbing the shit out of exchanges with this coin.
Ah grasshopper, snatch this pebble from my hand.
FYI. My nvidia's came in today. Had to thank the ups man. It's 20 degrees outside now (south coast Mass), but 80 in my basement. I haven't run the heat all winter. I figure I have about 2 more months of mining in my basement. It's going to be an oven down there come spring. If the nvidia's work out, then it's fire sale of my amd's. Will keep you all posted on how the 750ti's run.
