It is not instant, they kept that redundant 1h waiting time before actually sending.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I mean, email confirmation is instant. Payment transfer take 1 hr for security reasons.

why are the btc/aud rates inconsistent on this page?

This was due to a bug, we fixed it.

Shortly we will reduce the btc transfer time back to instantly once the payment request is confirmed and we will add additional features for two factor auth (deny from transaction history, resend email). However it does work very fine for almost all users. If you are facing problems please contact our support team and tell them exactly what did not work at your end.

Google auth will be added too soon so you can switch between email or google auth.

Hi, just sold my first item on Bitmit.
Problem is that I haven't received any payment from the buyer. Isn't the buyer directed to escrow address immediately after purchase?
Isn't the buyer supposed to just calculate price of item + shipping and send it to escrow adress?

Another thing I noticed is that my listing is completely gone from bitmit. I cannot access it anymore. I have all my shipping details etc. on there.
On ebay you can still access it even though the item is sold.

I must say that "order link" I received from the email Bitmit sent, doesn't look professional at all. It just tells me the name of the buyer and the only thing listed under "order options" is
"Cancel order".

First if buyer ordered item, it does not mean he paid for item. You have to check with buyer whether he paid or not. If he paid, bitcoin come within an hour and you can see on order page. You can cancel order if buyer dont want to pay....

Once item sold, it removes from listing. However, you can see item and its description. You can see by clicking on title of your ad in sold items page. They have many options.

You have to spend sometime on bitmit to understand it. If you have any suggestion, just contact to their support team.

Hope this is useful to you.

If I go into the sold items page the ad just links to the order page. Not the item page. But you are right it's still there.
I had the item page in my browser history, and was able to access it from there.
Thanks!

Very nice changes to the site. The new interface takes a second. But I'm adapting Smiley.

yeah, it looks better, except now you can't see if you have new mail or not in the top bar.

I recommend to whitelist/add our mail addresses to your contact list: "noreply@bitmit.net" and "support@bitmit.net". In order to get a new mail sent deny the payment from your wallet and initiate it again.

Thank you. It is time to get rid of  design fragments of bitmits old days. We are going to migrate移居 Bitmit to Bootstrap framework to    make it more consistent and ready for a mobile version.

We are aware of that you need 2 clicks to see if you got new msgs now. I think we will add a facebook like notification bar to solve that problem.

Update
Due to the new navbar of Bitmit we gpt some new space you can use for your item/website advertisement. Currently there are 3 ad slots available. More info can be found on bitmit.net

Okay then.

I have one question.

It appears to me that a Windows 7 Product key I was trying to auction off today has been deleted for violating the terms of service, specifically, "Copyright Violation".

What the hell is going on?

I have been slowly selling a handful of product keys here, and have so far 3 satisfied customers! (2 of which were buying Windows 7 Product Keys, I just now changed the listing to a 24-hour auction)

The terms of use does not even mention anything about "copyright" and why is me selling a product that I purchased considered copyright infringement? Furthermore, dozens of other people have been selling these product keys since the site first began!

Is one of the admins fucking with me?

Please get this resolved ASAP.

Update: It was an error on their part. Problem resolved.

Please make "items order" permanent for the session. For example, if i select "Price: Highest first", make it permanent for the whole session. It's so annoying to click and change settings for every effin new search string.
