this is way to low, isn't it?? how can i optimize this? THX =)

The first step is to add -I 13 (works for almost everybody), then go from there. Take a look at settings at http://www.verters.com/vertcoin-hardware-list

edit: well, nobody on that list has an R7 card. Basically, you're going to be using much lower thread concurrency settings since your card only has 320 shaders. You get a hint of where to start from the .bin file that's created when you first run. It will have tcNNNN in the file name.
thanks!! the -I 13 alone gave me now 43.4 kh/s =)
adding  -I 13 -g 2 gives me: 48.1 kh/s =)

Any advice for 6970? Just getting 140kh/s without any HW errors.

./vertminer --scrypt-vert -o startum -u user -p pwd -I 12 --thread-concurrency 4096 --shaders 2048 -g 2 -w 256 --auto-gpu
-->185kh/s per 7970 no HW

./vertminer --scrypt-vert -o startum -u user -p pwd -I 13 --thread-concurrency 4096 --shaders 2048 -g 2 -w 256 --auto-gpu
-->330kh/s per 7970 100% HW

I have the same bad hashrate with vertminer 0.5.4pre and vertminer 0.5.3...

When you use I -13 and TC=8192, does it create a "4032" bin file?
After rebooting the rig, I manage to pull 4x7970 at 250kh/s each.
But I can't set vertminer above intensity 12.

Yes, I have a 4032 bin file.

Mobo Sabertooth 990fx r2, processor  AMD fx 4130, ram 16Go, 4x7970 Spahire Radeon Dual-X.
Ubuntu 13.10 64bits, ADL_SDK_5.0, AMD_APP_SDK-v2.8.
As you can see I 13 produces tones of HW errors...

./vertminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum-us.trademybit.com:2220 -u sshiva1172.2 -p 123 --nscrypt --auto-fan --gpu-fan 50-75 -I 13 --thread-concurrency 8192

http://imageshack.com/a/img23/9758/ppci.png
You can see my hashrate with all HW, you can also see the 4032 bin file generated on the bottom...

Have you tried adding -g 2 to your startup script?

Hello
I don't know guys how can you make it work with -g 2, if I try to use more than 1 thread inmediately have error -5
I tried with 1, 2 and 3 cards, also tried with 4GB, 8GB and 12GB of system RAM
my GPUs are MSI R9 280X GAMING 3G, asus mobo M5A78L
Windows 7 x64 driver 13.1

Using 1 thread, it works but I need 8GB system of ram, doesn't work with 4GB, and if I add more than 2 cards, I need 12GB of system RAM.

the best I was able to do was 265KH which is very low, I was expecting 300KH per card at 950/1250 Mhz

what do you think?, am I missing something?
thanks!
Indtk

Hey induktor, I have the same cards, i'm using this and I have around 330-340 kh/s

export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
export GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
.\vertminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://eu.vertcoin.org:8080 -u xxx.xxx -p xxx -I 13 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-powertune 20 --auto-fan --temp-overheat 90

EDIT: I have 4 Gb mem in a dual card system and it is working, I will putting together the 4 cards on Monday because the riser cables just arrived, I will let you know how much ram needed for that

I'm using the exact settings I use for every scrypt coin in cudaminer, but all vertcoin gives me is "boooooo" results. Every pool's "Gettings started" section looks exactly the same as all the other scrypt coin pools. The line of code is the same. The only difference is the pool address.

Why am I getting "boooo" instead of "yay"?   I downloaded the cudaminer version from the OT post. It appears to mine but "booooooooooo!" and  no coins.

My settings which works for every single other coin and get me 300kh on GTX670.

cudaminer.exe -i 1 -l K7x32  -C 1 -H 1

I've played with my configuration and noticed the following:

Hash Rate is HIGHER
Work Utility is HIGHER
Stales are HIGHER
Accepted is LOWER
Utility is LOWER

Should I go back to my old config or stick with my new one?

EDIT: I'm using p2pool.

Hey guys the new sgminer (modded by Zuikkis) has nscrypt support as well, I compiled a Windows version here: https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=14996.msg131246#msg131246

Have not run any benchmarks, as always, do a scan Smiley. Hope it helps!

I have a problem, while the khash in vertminer are alright, in two different pools I get only 26khash with 4 pc's, so what's the problem. Do I have to start vertminer with something like scrypt or nscrypt??

Using this for 7990:
"intensity" : "13",
"worksize" : "256",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"thread-concurrency" : "12000",
"gpu-threads" : "2"

speed is between 325 and 342 per gpu.

Using this for r9 290:
"intensity" : "20",
"worksize" : "512",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"thread-concurrency" : "27400",
"gpu-threads" : "1"

speed is 370-403 khash

How long did you leave them mining? The hashrate graphs in pools are generally pretty unreliable.

What do you see under WU in Vertminer?

for one 7990

14,7/m

Hashrate graphs in pools can differ a little bit, but if I have to have 3,5mhash, 35khash is really too far apart.

I use the 0.5.3 miner.

Awesome seems to work better, the hashrate is very slowly crawling higher.
Anymore tips?

WU is what is actually being accepted by the pool. Play around with thread concurrency and the other settings you find cropping up in this thread, and remember that what is optimal for one person may not be optimal for someone else with the same card.
