So how did Coino implement KGW? Is it using the vulnerable version and needs a patch or is it ok?
I heard about some KGW exploit in Twitter and I would like to learn more. Do you have a link regarding this vulnerability?

I know it seems bad... but we have the source code, know the fix, and have a new group of developers taking over. It will be taken care of shortly.

Interestingly another coin that started at the same time as Coino has opposite problem. Active dev but no community. Maybe the solution for both would be Coins Merger

Cryptonium (CRN) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=412037.0The dev is psomas2 but looking at his profile now his last activity was March 28, so maybe that dev lost interest too.

Fcuk. ive heard about the flaw too but so far no coin has been taken out like the attackers claim the can do. there are lots of people saying it may not be as big a deal as everyone thinks. hopefully the dev hasn't disappeared so we can get this coin going again and on to more exchanges and services.

The threat is likely real, just not common. It seems that a fairly successful version of it was shown to work on AUR. So, its worth updating. I have the code and the patch. I'm just waiting for some consensus to gel amongst the new folks who are stepping in to continue development. I would prefer to see them all sign off on the patch so that it isn't a community of one releasing the fixed wallet. The original DEV is gone. Don't expect to see them return. But, that is not nearly the end of the world.

April 8, 2014 Is approaching fast. Right now we have a survey that is taking place right now. If you have not taken the survey yet, please take a minute to fill it in and submit your thoughts. This survey was posted on Tuesday and will run until April 8, 2014. That gives you one week to be heard. This is the first step into deciding what we as a community are going to do in the very near future. Survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/9Z2VX6DOnce you have taken the survey we need to have a time that is good for most people to attend a discussion we will be having. This next link will allow you to submit your contact information and will let you tell me the best times that you are available to attend our discussion. Please take the time to fill this in. If you do not fill out this form we will be unable to contact you about upcoming events. This form is for contact information and attendance times only. I personally will not share your contact info with anyone, this information will be used for the soul purpose of setting up our round table discussion time. Also please be as accurate as you can. Discussion Attendance Form: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7R56SYYI know this has been posted before, but with Tuesday right around the corner now is the time to fill in the survey and attendance form. We look forward to hearing everyone's responses.

How did you lose those coins? Was your wallet encrypted? It is in between wallets due to this bug. (Transferred it to another wallet Not knowing of this bug - My exchange wallet since the local pc was failing and I didnt want to battle with a wallet) And I really needed them. So untill it is fixed, if at all, I doubt i will see it due to a fork or some shit like that happening. Such is my luck.

Tonight the survey ends and we discuss the future of the coin in the up coming meeting. Fixing the wallet is going to have to happen anyways, so if you do not get your coins back because of the update or a bug issue I will give you 5500 Coino's for keeping faith in the coin and the community.
