Mintpal can go suck it, I am tired of voting on their slapass system, if they need us to vote to know what coins need to be put on the exchange and do not have a feel for the markets themselves then I say good bye. Give me an exchange that knows the markets and does not make me click 10000+ times just to get the coin I deal with on the site.

Thank you for your patience and well wishes guys.  My wife and I are home from the hospital with a beautiful baby girl!

Stratum is back online, sorry for the downtime and inability to get it taken care of while I was away. I will leave fees at 0% for a couple days for the inconvenience.

congratulations Poolers! best wishes to you and your new addition to the family!
and no worries for the pool, life before technology Smiley

Thanks!

For everyone that has been having trouble with pools that failed to update, come on over to coino.poolers.org. We have been on the correct wallet the whole time and have never had any payout issues since launch.  Also, fees are 0% right now to make up for the stratum issues that happened while I was in the hospital. If you want to pay high fees to mine on a pool that doesn't keep up on what is going on with the coin then by all means, stay where you are =P

Markets are made by miners & traders. They should have the say. Not some scam dev with the know how on how to rent a cluster, IP mask 10000 votes. Its a great move by mintpal. If anyone is in a rush for coino to be on 'a bigger market', then all you are looking to do is dump. Sorry.. but look @ any coin.. ANY.. and see what happens when its listed.. High initial price.. and in 24 hrs.. way down. I'll happily wait 2 years for any return on this, provided there is slow & steady progress with development, and I believe thats is happening.

I am with you.

I only mine coino and have not parted with a single one (ooops, sorry, thats a lie, I did sent a couple to ShadowRising as a test of my new payment transaction system for the CoinoCasino Smiley

Anyway, I have no desire to sell any of my coins for at least a couple of years, I want to see the coino eco-system grow. Providing people a reason to hold the coin is much better than trying to get on any exchange.

There will always be dumpers trying to make their $10/day and hopefully these coins are finding there way back to holders in this community Smiley

Ok, but reality check.  If everyone holds all the coins and doesn't spend them, that has nothing to do with an economy.  By definition, an economy is all about coins being spent and used.  What kills coins is when there is no useful purpose for them other then hoarding on the hope that someone else finds a use for them and wants to buy them for more than you paid in the first place.

Check out a real economy - like paper cash.  No one sits around holding it waiting for it to be worth more so they can sell it.  They do work to get some, use what they get to buy things, and carry on in a big cycle.

In the smaller part of the world that is crypto-coins... there doesn't seem to be a use for many of them at all except BTC.  And its biggest claim to fame on most exchanges is just a way to hold value until you buy a different coin.  There are places that use it for products and services but with a 60 minute wait to ensure you got the payment, its pretty useless.

Coino can do that same confirmation in 60 seconds.  So for heavens sake, instead of holding on to a bunch of coins hoping to get rich, do something better.  Find some real world uses for it that will create an economy.

Those uses will drive up the value - not the act of holding coins and waiting.

Hi,

I have already installed the last wallet over the old one... but when trying to sync I get this error at the bottom of the wallet:

It doesn't sync anymore...  Huh

The disk has several GB of free space so there is no problem with that.

please help!

Hi, have you already tried the solution I suggested on previous pages?

well, i managed to get my new wallet to accept from Dedicated pool today.  The big issue now is that I'll never see the 650 coino that I transferred out of my wallet and back to it after it synced for the new wallet.  I don't know what can be done about this.. It just sits there unconfirmed.

I have a weird problem with the linux client:

With the deamon i get only like 13 (only outgoing) connections..
I have enabled listen=1
I have successful set-up a telnet session to my ip:15555
The clients syncs successfully with the 13 connections
I have disabled the firewall, all resulting in 13 connections only

I have set-up on another pc a windows client, got 40 connections in no time, then deleted the peers.dat on the windows client and added only to the Coino.conf of the windows client: connect=*mylinuxip* and only then i get 1 incoming connection to my linux deamon. *yeah it works?!**

In other words:
my ports are open
the deamon is listening and accepting connection when one showes up, like my windows client

BUT WHY do I not get any incoming connection from other users??

Any help is much appreciated!
I have set-up many different coins on many different systems, but this issue is weird to me!
see below my Coino.conf
Code:
daemon=1
server=1
listen=1
dnsseed=1
irc=1
rpcuser=Coinorpc
rpcpassword=xxx
rpcport=14444
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
addnode=162.243.0.247
addnode=37.139.25.15
addnode=217.19.25.189

and result of netstat -vatn |grep 15555
