Anyone know why one of my masternodes thinks there are 30 MNs and the other thinks there are 50?

Also, the one that sees 30 MNs shows both of mine in its list.  The one that sees 50 MNs shows itself in its list, but it doesn't show my other one.

WTF?

Does anyone else show both 93.95.228.27:9999 and 93.95.228.131:9999?

Also in the MN list, what is the difference between
Code:
"xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:9999" : 0

and

Code:
"xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:9999" : 1

?
I can see both of mine on each of them but sometimes they are flagged 1 and sometimes 0. My qt wallet can only see MNs launched after it was. I can see neither of yours on either my MNs or from my local wallet.  Huh

edit: MN count on both my MNs is 45 right now.

The old and new masternode protocol are completely different and everyone needs to update first. The messages aren't getting propagated at the moment. In a couple days, we'll have accurate counts and the nodes will stay online. Like I said in the update, all of the masternodes will have to restart later. That's why.

OK cool I guess I'll stick with what I've got until that happens.  Thanks E-Dawg.

Fabulous.  Thanks man - I think I'm gonna start over from scratch.  I can't figure out wtf is going on after those last couple patches.

I also have the local/remote wallet setup, so that's got to have something to do with it after the latest MN iteration (with the signature thing).  Just going to re-do it all the standard way.

Seems like communities like Hacker News tend to dismiss Darkcoin very easily as being simple coinjoin. In the Zerocash whitepaper announcement comments ofr example - https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=7765716

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014

this coin definitely has a future.
evan is doing a great job with this coin and its code.. but..
there is some big issues i see..
coin is not ready for a volume this big, too fast too early
or, maybe it is the natural evolution of a(lt) coin to make progress through other people losses
Let me guess, you threw yourself into the barrel of beautiful tits that is Darkcoin, and came out sucking your thumb?

Should have held.

I'm in the DRK very long term, possibly with a large part as a permanent store of value - as weird as it may sound.
If nothing bad happens, I can't see the point of changing all into BTC, or worse yet FIAT and get all the money on the whim of banks/gov.
Private, anonymous store of value and transactions...can't get much better than that.

I got several colleagues, friends, family with sizeable stashes into crypto too (they mostly got DRK, and a bit of BTC too), none so far even think about selling too, most is long term, on 1-2 year "schedule"

Thanks in advance.

u need only to modify scrypt config to -k darkcoin, thats a good point to start

This is my startup bat file:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
sgminer.exe -k darkcoin -I 21 --worksize 256 --thread-concurrency 32765 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-powertune 20 --gpu-engine 1050 --gpu-memclock 1490 -o x -u x -p x

I'm getting 0 hashrate and video driver fails, i'm not having issues with other coins(scypt, scrypt-n, scypt-jane), my drivers are ok.
sgminer used is the first one from this thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=475795.0;all

OK I have a theory on the number 1 address. Someone mentioned that the incoming addresses are all Mintpal and whoever is behind it has been having fun sending messages with the inputs/balance. What if it's the guy who runs Mintpal? He must be raking in thousands of coins every day in fees (both buys and sells). Maybe he's sending all his fees to this one address?

Send me a tip if I'm right!

And we have a winner! Tongue

*We can never know for sure what that address is for, but can assume since no transactions have been sent out, that the person/people/company behind it plans to hold long term, maybe similar to Satoshi? Tongue*

Mining.DarkcoinTalk.org is now rewarding miners with 25% more income for the next 100 blocks found by the pool.

Starting at 8PM EDT (New York) on May 20th 2014. Or May 21st 2014 1AM BST (London)

If a block is found worth 10 the reward for all of you mining will be 12.5 Darkcoin.

The reason we are doing this, is because DarkcoinTalk is involved for the
long haul. We believe that Darkcoin will be just as important as
Bitcoin. (maybe even more) The pool helps pay for the server costs of the forums. We do need support to keep adding new features and to constantly improve this site as well as others under the same name.

We are hoping that after the reward, you will stay mining at our pool and make it your primary. Mine with a pool that is giving back and helping Darkcoin, not a pool only made to make the operator money.

We encourage you to register immediately to set up your workers and get everything set up. Thank you for mining with us. We'll make this currency global and as well known as Bitcoin.
